Thanks for the video. I used POR-15 on my Play-Mor. Seems to be a good choice.

This is where I'm at with my camper a '58 Holly 16ft. Except I'm planning the subfloor (doing the frame this weekend) and I'm very confused. Originally it looks like some sort of black composite board was used underneath for waterproofing, then of course the frame, insulation, and 3/4 plywood were installed on top. Except I cannot find any examples of how campers insulate their subfloor. I'm thinking of just using a piece of thin untreated wood with sticky roof wrap on it, then the foam insulation will have somewhere to lay (with construction adhesive) and the frame and subfloor will be on top of that.
LOVE your channel, its helping more than you know :)

This is the material that they used:
      www.homedepot.com/p/1-2-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-Southern-Pine-Asphalt-Panel-A11230848096/206086210
Most campers didn't insulate their floor, but the asphalt panel does provide a bit of insulation, sound deadening, and some cushioning to the floor. In my Cal-Craft I just left it off and went with 3/4" plywood instead of the 1/2" that was originally used on top of the 1/4" asphalt panel. The insulating properties of the stuff is pretty minimal, and while it resisted water the original wooden flooring didn't, and unfortunately the asphalt panel has no real structural benefit to speak of by itself.

Certainly for a vehicle or especially a boat trailer it's worth going with something heavy duty.

Ha ha, I actually mentioned what I did in a clip, but Katherine didn't think anyone would even notice so she cut it. I was working on the suspension on our Wagoneer and scooting around underneath it, and I just caught my big dumb forehead on a bolt.
