Well explained thanks to people like you i have learnt more from youtube than i ever did at school.
Great video. I’ve been looking for a video like this on recalls. Thank you very much
Thanks for your comment
It is a tower 55 loco. And it does not see a lot of service because of the mechanical problems with gears. This one is running now may sell it for parts but partial to heritage paint job. Is it a replacement file for decoder?
Programed recall, and did two engines, works fine .
Para usar as funções de um decodificador no NCE, pressione SHIFT?
I have no idea, did not notice that. I know it works but we do not run to clock at this point.
Hello friend, the experience you have with dcc, the MRC sound decoder 1909 is good business to buy or usually give problems?
I never buy anything from MRC to many problems. Soundtraxx,, TCS or ESU that it as far as sound no sound NCE.
Ok, friend, thank you
Olá amigo, então eu uso as funções de um descodificador, para chaves exemplo F20 que pega para ser capaz de usar assim função no NCE?

Hi, just got this system and read the book but can't find out how to access the higher buttons for sounds, or other things Example= how to get to f12 or f 14
Jim
Two way to do it. will look in videos and get reference to setting Option Key to access 10-19 and 20 -29. At bottom of Hammer Head controller there are four buttons Top says Prog/Esc EXPN 28/128 SHIFT. If you hold shift key down they become what is under them first button becomes F10 Second becomes F11 and third becomes F12. Go go higher you need to change a setting in the cab set up to make the OPTION KEY work for higher Function keys. IE you have a BLI loco that can have 28 functions.
arthurhouston3 At 13:34 in this video I show you how to make the OPTION KEY the FUNTION KEY FOR 11 to 29. Works on all cabs. That are Hammerheads. ua-cam.com/video/S9KbhrExF-0/v-deo.html
What I have is a single loco running at a speed setting 5 and it covers a distance of 5 feet in so much time. I make the same loco the lead loco in a consist (and the only loco) then run it at setting 5 over the same track and distance and it take much longer to cover the same 5 feet. I have tried this with 3 different locos with the same result. Also I get the same thing with the Power Cab or a 5amp booster. I thought it may be a CV setting.
I am getting started with DCC and have found that when I put a loco to a consist the power or speed to that loco drops considerable from where it is when not part of a consist. Why does this happen or what am I missing?
You are putting two loco together. Thus you are drawing more amps. If you are using a Power Cab you only have 1.5 amps available. You could be facing a wiring issue with size of wire use to run to track and how much track and wire you have in a district. Would need to know a lot more. If you are running atheran RTR engines they draw more amps. They are not can motors. Other issue did you check to see if locos run together. Separate them put a couple feet between each one run forward does on catch up to the other one with in 5 to six ft you have a bigger problem. Loco speed gearing and or decoders are not matched. If this is the case then one loco is dragging other one. You will ruin both locos gears if you keep doing this. If you determine this is your issue come back and post another question.
I have a Bachmann gp30 engine dcc. I installed an nce no halt and my problem is when power is cut to the engine the horn goes off, the lights flash and it goes about 4 inches in reverse which then drains the battery. Can someone please help me with this.
Thanks for the help.
How do you make all the engines to be quiet on the layout when you turn the power on ?
Joel Vale couple things all stagging and tracks were engines park are switch off dead. Either trough switch on tortoise, or manual off on for a track. Some sitting on main you have to to ture off 8 or 0
I;ve had my NCE for awhile,,always good,,now won't keep memory on recalls! I set for 4 and next time I light up layout it reverts to only 2 (two)
do you have steam on your layout how often do you run steam I love steam I have the big boy
This is most of my steam. Do not run during op sessions. ua-cam.com/video/yqtabCi0fjE/v-deo.html
How can the clock say 47:54? Shouldn't that read 23:54?
Sorry friend still not Manjo of English, my question was about the shift function, activating the functions 10-19 and 20-28 in NCE
You have set Option key to 122 think it is set to 94 from NCE think I did video on it.
Right in the beginning will show how to set option key to access functions 11 to 28. ua-cam.com/video/MPRXg-6jEiA/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot for the help
Consist is two locos do not understand what you are going.
this video has nothing to do with consisting. It about runing different locos with same cab. Done alot in our ops sessions.
Would you like me to send you a new Digitrax sound project for #399?
Tommy thanks but No. I have all I can handle keeping up with NCE and JMRI. We made the decision in mid 90s to go with NCE. Everyone in SE La uses NCE because on one reason the throttles all system types work on everyone else's layouts.
My know ledge of Digitrax comes from operating on other layouts. One is all I can handle.
@@arthurhouston3 Hi Art, good to hear from you. Not sure if this was a glitch, but I think this comment was from 8 years ago.
Yes it can but do not know why anyone would want to do that, I have hard time walking and chewing gum.
