Made a heck of a difference! Wondering if a reset on these saws every once and awhile would help keep them running at their best. That was a big increase for just a muffler mod. Have to do some reading on it. Appreciate ya watching Walter!👍🏻
Really brought that saw back to life! I’m also wondering if a reset every once in awhile would help these saws run their best. That was a heck of an increase! Gonna have to do some reading on it. Appreciate ya watching Rick!👍🏻
@@FirewoodMidwest most folk’s don’t reset theirs, being there are a few differences in the way different models have their reset done, it can be a bit confusing. I have found most folk’s also don’t open up the oiler either, which also have different methods. I think many would find fast improvement in their saws, if these things were done. Let’s face it, most guy’s don’t read the instructions…..they assume everything is as it always has been. Kind’a like BBR showed with his lack of knowledge in running a 500i. It happens to ALL…..sometimes 👍💪👏🇺🇸 Rick PS: anytime a mod is done, a reset should be done.
Very informative video Rod! You made it look pretty easy and showed the difference it made. Nicely done! Maybe I should put one on my 034. Faster is better when cutting, for me. Thanks and keep these great videos coming.
Nice job! I ordered one the day after I seen your first 261 mod. It’s still in the package. I can’t decide whether to do it or not.🤣 Looks like there was a noticeable difference. 👍🏻👍🏻
Dang , that is a sweet mod. Good stuff as always, Thanks man . Oh ., and I did add to my note …. Use dullest drill bit on hand 🤣🤣 Lmao. Great weekend to you and yours Rod. Later 🍺☑️
Man, that saw came to life! I’m wondering if these m-tronic saws could use a reset every once in awhile just to keep them running tip top. That was a heck of an increase for just a muffler mod. Gonna have to do some research. Very seldom do I grab a sharp bit. 😆 Thanks for watching Richy! Appreciate ya!👍🏻🍺
Nicely done, Rod. Some of the engine porting I do I pre drill holes than start cutting away.. Also, any time you can get an engine to breathe better(intake or exhaust) will run better too..
Great video great timing. Was having a bad week and my daughter tells me about a chainsaw case she saw being thrown out down the road. It ended up being an old homelite super 2. I got it running but in needs more loven. But the kicker was there was a second case and it was orange. In that case was a stihl 029. Needs some cleaning but I got it running! Muffler mod will happen on the old girl. Kids bundle business now has a new tool lol. Hope your day is awesome!!!
Wow! That’s a score! That stuff never happens to me. I’d have showed up and It’d already been gone. Day late, dollar short! Have a great day Stan! Appreciate ya!👍🏻

Hey guys, save your self a lot of time. Get a basic piece of exhaust gasket material from "mr gasket" and run a couple 1/4 #20 self-tapping screws in, then replace with better flat tip screws. Mounts are over-kill here.

Great video, get it done with what ya got.

I have a 2013 MS261, 18" bar. Very clear install. It looks professional, has a spark screen, and does not sound to loud...not like that Bark Box.
Thanks! Your right, not as loud as a bark box. Got something similar on my 400 too. Appreciate ya watching!👍🏻
Very informative video Rod. Need to do some mods to my saws. Been thinking about the wcs kits. A lot cheaper than new ported muffler or a pipe.
Ya, easy to do. I’m impressed with them. Definitely worth the money. Thanks for watching William!👍🏻
