  • This week we're taking a look at some of the causes of a washer that won't fill. Steve will take you step-by-step through the process of how to troubleshoot a washer that won't fill; from the different components that could be causing the issue, and where they're located, and how to test them so that you know if they're defective.
You'll first want to check the obvious (0:28):
    Are the faucets turned on?
    Are the inlet hoses kinked?
    Is there adequate water pressure?
Here are the most common parts that could be causing a no-fill situation:
    Inlet Fill Valve (0:53)
    Door Switch/Lock Assembly (5:28)
    Water Level Control (6:43)
    Control Board (8:44)
How to Run a Diagnostic Cycle (10:23)
Here's how to use a Multimeter to check for continuity:

If The cold water level is clog and if you don't want to use hot water for sometimes just removed the hot water hose and replace to cold water hose and connect to cold water outlet.

If you follow the video, and there are many, they instruct you how to diagnose the problem. Start with the simple instructions and if need be start diagnosing more involved procedures. The obvious first is are the water valves open...then are the lines going to the washer clear...are the inlet valves the lines hook up to clear meaning do you have to clear up or clean up the screens at the in flow... you slowly and systematically go through the diagnosis until your problem is solved. Don’t be discouraged just go through the steps and realize sometimes you fix one problem then find another. You will find you will learn a lot about your appliance, save a lot of money and enjoy the process. Always be safe and unplug your appliance, know how to turn the water off outside if you need to, know that it could take a few days to analyze your appliance and order your replacement part, make sure you pull your appliance out so you have room to work on it mostly taking the top off and sometimes the back. See as many videos, about 5, to get comfortable with what you should be dealing with and the most important if you feel uncomfortable with doing any of these procedures have someone help you or just hire a technician...they are the pros but usually you/we can handle it. For me it’s fun learning. Good luck

Good info. CAN ANYONE HELP? I have a Samsung-made Kenmore 592-49427 front loader. Hot or cold water flows in just fine on SOME settings (Delicate, Express etc) but NO water, hot or cold, goes in on other settings (Normal, Heavy etc). I swapped the obvious - main "computer" cct board (DC92-00686H) - but the problem stays exactly the same! What else can it be??? I'm stomped!
