They could have chosen any macho song cause it looked like he was walking to a boxing ring, but the fact that they chose this one makes it a brilliant show.
Sincerelly it's a fucking tune this song i love !!! with the passage in the serie with stringer belle and avon barksdale as come in the serie is very badass
I’ve only heard it in the Wire when it comes to Tv Movies or any other forms of visual media if that’s what you mean. Can’t say if it hasn’t been released in an album or not tho
he's occasionally had it for download online, but no official release, as they didn't put it out on the soundtrack..... but we should get around to that.....P
Valentin Biguine we’ll have to disagree there. In my opinion Avon was a man with a code. He had morals and looked out for his people and would never touch a citizen. Marlo was a sociopathic piece of shit that would kill (or have killed) civilians with no remorse as well as his employees. “A man must have a code” - The Bunk
Kinda depends on what it is we are comparing between the two. If it’s who was the better business man then Avon wins. If it’s is who was best fit for the streets it’s Marlo by far.
Marlo and Avon have one conversation in the whole 5 seasons. And its whilst Avon is behind bars. He extorts 100k out of Marlo for Brianna before the conversation has barley started. Avon runs rings around him, calls him young un' and talks down to him. The only person I can recall doing so.
This is fucking ace! who else is here, coz of the wire?
Stringer Bell + Avon walking = TOTAL FUCKING BDASS

They should make an hour to this theme song 🎧
Dam still one of the best out there
What’s the story with this song? Made for the show? Can’t find anything on Lorem Ipsum
i assume it was composed for the show and “lorem ipsum” is just a placeholder name for the group of people who worked on it

I love the wire
Ive got nothin but love for west side niggas
there seems to be a number of artists named 'lorem ipsum' and none of the ones i found sound anything like this.
Placeholder name I think, probably a crediting issue
Would be interesting to do a reverse sound search to find the samples or any info
