Underrated
😐
My problem with most weapon/armour mods (including the Paladin set featured) is that the mod authors are so intent on making them as HD and as clean as possible that the end product just doesn't look right *in* Skyrim. Some of the mods end up making the weapons/armours added look like they're made out of plastic rather than metal, and others just don't fit at all. And before anyone is like 'durrrr, but sirrr, not all mods have to be realistic to the game setting and lore friendly retarrrd', let me say that there *are* mods I've seen that are lore friendly but that aren't so clean HD that they look completely out of place.
I agree with that, I love textures that are gritty and dirty looking, no armour should be shiny and clean as so many mods are.
I agree completely, I wish there was more mods that stayed true to the Skyrimy feel of armour
I completely agree. Though I would like some Breton Men-at-Arms clean looking knight armor. And that's a reason I am waiting for Beyond_Skyrim High Rock mod.
💯
MakesYouSick huge issue with fallout mods, most guns look like they are factory new not sitting in dust for 200 years
Hello, nate. I am kvatchcount, the owner of Hold Riders.
I passed by this video when I saw it, not really thinking of the contents because it was for SSE and I currently do not have the hardware requirements to play SSE. But tonight, as I was bored, decided to go and watch it. Suffice to say, I was pleased majorly by what I saw. I am honored to have been featured in one of your playlists, and I feel happy about providing nostalgia for the old days. Despite its small presence within the world (it may get bigger, when and if I decide to add more patrols. Still currently toying with the idea. Have already added a Dawnguard Rider.), I am proud by what I have done and the more videos I see of it, the more content with my hobby choice I get. To keep myself from rambling, as I am one to do, I would just like to say thank you for downloading it and featuring it. You made my day! Please keep doing what you're doing, too. You've taught me A LOT about the little things we've never noticed in the frozen land that is Skyrim.
great speech,kvatchcount.great speech
@@thomashofman6605 Thank you. :D

@@GX2re But I meant every word. It is a simple mod, and imo not worthy of the recognition and praise it received. Hundreds of mods published the day I published Hold Riders were worth more and took more time than Hold Riders did. But that is not to say I do not appreciate what had transpired. It made me smile. It made me feel like I chose the right hobby, even more so in a time of strife in my real life.
Fuck. That rhymed. XD
I felt it right that I respond as truthfully as possible. I'm glad that people are enjoying the mod, and I hope that it never disappoints. :)
@@thomashofman6605 Thanks for the appreciation man!
4:12 "Murdering someone to death." ;)
Well what else are you going to do? Murder them to life? Preposterous.
Robbie Lobster no. Just murder them...
Me after murdering someone to life
If anyone is wondering, in Project AHO, once you get your freedom (which you need to get due to the magical amulet oppressing you) you can say "To Hell with the story" and massacre all the slavers, like my angry, angry Nord is currently doing
Gabriel Thorpe that sound like fun! My Argonian doesn't take crap from anumybody, so a massacre seems like a good way to teach the slavers a lesson.
Gabriel Thorpe Except then you can't have an epi- o wait spoilers
Gabriel Thorpe thank you for that info that seems like the more reasonable approach
Can you get the mod on Xbox 1
I got that mod on XB1 but right before the slavers come my game would always crash
i love using the brawling mod to mug jarls
Murdered to death never gets old
well, i'm quite sick of it myself.
Freeasabird then stop watching lol it’s not gonna change
I came here for this comment
Paused the video at 8:27, went to Nexus, checked out the AHO, after watching the trailer I downloaded and installed it immediately.
THANKS for bringing this jewel of modding to my attention, it´s exaclty the kind of things I´m looking for to make the Skyrim gaming experience more diverse (while staying lore friendly).
Awesome vid again, Natethemate!!!
it looks so great! I cant wait to finish Falskaar so I can take on AHO!
Aho always crashes for me
can you play the mod with the normal skyrim edition?
Yes @Kim Possible just download from Nexus for Skyrim standard
Yet another 5 more criminally underrated, secretly interesting, misunderstood hidden details you have likely missed, but could have potentially seen depending on circumstances
Literally every single UA-cam video's title.
I will never understand why people assume wear and filth are part and parcel for fantasy settings. Even the most impoverished urchin has pride. Armor and weapons are *expensive,* and people took the best care of them they possibly could. Worn shields aren't "realistic," they indicate a lazy wielder. The only damage that would persist on a weapon/shield would be single huge gashes that can't be repaired, which would typically warrant the item being replaced if the individual was in the employ of a professional military group like a hold. Even more so considering the shields are wooden. It's not like it's hard to replace the whole thing.
NERDDDD
Great mod highlight. You’ve given me some new ideas to refresh my Skyrim
I think skyrim is nothing without mods, once modding, you never stops
Sad part is you got to disable them to continue with the main story
@@thewolfpaladin1858 What are you talking about?
Its fine the first time.
I played the first time full vanilla but skyrim had a few problems so I fixed those with mods the second time.
Now I have added new things etc as well but I don't break the lore with mods like some people who have 200-300 mods and completely ruin skyrim by turning it into a different game.
@G It was probably either mods colliding or one particular one was screwed.
@G you only crash if you oveload the game or the more likely readon you just uave conflicting mods you have to put them in a certain order
I have been binge watching all of your videos all morning 😂
Has anyone made a mod which replaces Partharnax's voice with Mario/Luigi/Wario/Waluigi's voice or at least an impression. (They all have the same voice actor)
Oliver Cane hahaha so funny.
from ur knowledge of games i can see that you are an expert gamer, hahahahahahahahahahahahah that's epic dude
Nuno Marques boo it doesnt take an expert gamer to know that 😂😂 there's UA-cam videos stating that. Don't have to be an expert gamer to watch a UA-cam video lmao
Nuno Marques It's kinda common knowledge but there's a chance that someone living under a rock or doesn't have an interest in Voice Actors might find my comment confusing
Eetsa me, Paarthurnax
FUS RO WAAH!
GREAT SUGGESTIONS!! Downloading 4 of the mods mentioned! Can't believe I have been missing some great mods.
Nice to see another video like this, I subbed when I saw the first one. Glad I found this channel
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you on the shields. If they were in constant use at the time then their owners would have been meticulous in the upkeep, as their lives depended on their shield. And no self respecting guard would go on patrol with a crappy looking shield like they do in vanilla as that would reflect badly on them and their lord. "Gaurds these days don't even take care of their equipment, don't they know their lives may depend on that sheild someday?" or "Jarl balgruf is such a skinflit, won't even spend a septim to make sure his guards have proper shields." If old shields in museums have that look then that is because they haven't been taken care of in centuries. Making them even more battered actually breaks immersion.
bleachmon1 I agree with you, plus those shields look like they were built poorly, not wore down
No u
bleachmon1 I agree, I personally think guards would try to keep their shields in pristine condition. After all, you don't wanna be stabbed.
I think routine maintenance on the shield and applying a fresh coat, potentially everyday, of paint to their shield is are treated a little differently. I could understand making sure your shield doesn’t give way or anything like that, but surely they aren’t in the business of applying paint and then giving it all day to dry when there’s people stealing sweet rolls out there.
bleachmon1 to further immersion, there should have different shields for each hold, as well as different armors, not necessarily by much, but still, enough to recognize a chain of command, and the difference between mere guards and actual soldiers/patrols that risk their lives daily protecting the citizen against bandits.
And more realistic paints too (it’s far too detailed and modern looking for mere guards and low tankers, I wouldn’t expect something like that from less than a Knight, or its local equivalent... Wait a second, where did the knight went again ?).
And fricking spears ! How could they forget that for Talos’ sake !
LMAO that dialogue in in the AHO mod.
"Do you side with the Stormcloaks, or for the Legion?"
"I'm marking you for an honorable execution and then making a candlestick out of your skull. Go to the next idiotic question. Don't stop."
Thank you! I know this has got to be hard. You always put together the best info on Skyrim.
please more underrated mods, I love adding these to my game!
Also 42nd
Bethesda needs to hire these people who make “DLC sized mods”. Some of these creations are arguably better than what Bethesda has produced.
LOVED THE NEW VIDEO.KEEP IT UP NATE
Great video nate, I am glad to see your switching it up from things i missed in skyrim. Lol
I think you are one of the only people on this earth that call it "The Elder Scrolls 5."
LOL!! That was funny, caught me off guard.

I love retexturing specific rugs. Like you know that one rug in that burned down house? Thats my favorite.
I love you videos! Keep them going!!
You should do the loading screens with extra sarcasm mod, as someone whos read all of the loading messages 800000 times the mod is a god send as it adds in hundreds off funny new messages
Great list Nate, Project AHO looks amazing! Will definitely be checking it out :)
thanks for mentioning Project AHO, hadn't heard about it and it looks amazing
That intro made me happy
Idk why
It made me smile
Thank you Nate
Relics of Hyrule is one of my favorite mods for Skyrim. JKalenad did an amazing job integrating Hyrule into Skyrim lore. I feel it should be more popular than it is now.
i dont know how many episodes of this it's been, but everytime i add like 2 or 3 new mods, and i love you for opening my eyes to them since i dont pay that much atention to mods or mod scene
Thanks so much I didn't know about the hho mod I love it and I love your videos thank you keep it up
I just finished Project AHO and I absolutely love it. It's an amazing mod.
Emily Neko Which person did you side with?
Nate, Make this a series, my man!
Hey Nate I don't know if you've covered this yet but I have a tiny detail for you for a potential video. I noticed that when talking to Daedric/Aedric Lords, you can't skip the conversation. I've tried with Herma Mora, Molag, Boethiah, Dagon etc. Not only can't you skip the conversation, you can't pause the conversation either with the pause menu or even the command menu.
i think everyone knows that
Herman De Vries yeah i think he may have.. and yeah a lot of people know that. It's because tge devs don't want you to skip daedric/aedric dialogue
I always thought it's because they are basically gods which makes you unable to skip their dialogue.
(Players never interact with Aedra)
Galimeer5 yos they do.
I don't know how you continue to make Top after after Top videos and always keep it interesting. Skyrim may be full of content but you are great at finding it and presenting on an engaging way!
They would have repainted their shields and replaced the worn down ones all the time. Professional armies and soldiers did that kind of thing, even way back when. I know, I know fantasy and what not.
They could have added another layer of realism, where City guards have nice new shields and the further you go from civilization the crappier the guard's equipment looks due to cutbacks.
I love how consistently good this channel is the skyrim community's one of my favorites
Eidolon's Ward, the shield from the first mod is also an artefact from previous games - I remember finding it in a cave west of the Urshilanka tribe in Morrowind
Great video! Awesome looking mods you showed here, def going to check them out. If you can, you should check out Rigmor of Bruma-- it's an amazing, dlc-sized companion mod with an epic quest. It's very story-driven, and is probably the best mod I've ever played!
So could you use the duel shout on Miraak to make the fight way easier?
I first got the special edition for PS4. On December 30th 2017, I bought Xbox One & Skyrim. On February 23rd 2018, I killed the legendary dragon to never play vanilla again, one must unlock achievements.
But did you kill the legendary dragon to death?
Thanks for makeing this video so I could know. Thanks.
Me: "downloads Draw"
Maven black-briar: "sweats nervously"
When the video started I thought it like skipped ahead or something. Nope, just an abrupt start! Made me lol
The death star home in AHO is freaking awesome, I'm in the middle of Clockwork castle right now; it has some awesome lore to it.
In that last mod with you on horseback, what armor is that with the red cloth draped over the back?
@TheEpicNate315 When you said Haem Projects the way you pronounced it sounded like Ham lol
1:43 Skullcrusher, you mean? Just joking around, love your vids. Keep up the good work
That smooth transition at 0:10 tho.
These mod videos are amazing :)
I may have to check out Project AHO, it looks pretty neat. That cavern with all the glow-in-the-dark mushrooms & flowers looks less like something Telvanni would make and more like it should be part of Blackmarsh. Which is cool.
1:42 Sorry to be one of those guys but the weapons name is actually Scullcrusher. Keep up the great videos man
What about Schlongs of Skyrim?
Kimberling Cumberland I downloaded that for the romance mod
WHAT ABOUT POKEMON ADVENTURES?
@@Not_Claptrap What? Pokemon adventures _and_ Schlongs of Skyrim? GTFO bro
This shit made me choke lol. 😂 (no pun)
penis good
the breton paladin armor also has a white option too, not just the black option, along with the standard silver option. that means all the armor pieces have 3 possible color options; however, the weapons can not be changed except for if you want them as one-handed or two-handed
"Murdered to death", I was eagerly awaiting it
I personally love the Artifacts of Bretony mod, my current Skyrim playthrough is based around it. Also, thank you for telling me about AHO, it looks like a very high quality mod and it deserves the exposure.
as someone who just got into the mod community, this has to be my favorite series that u do thank u
Made a playthrough centred around artefacts of the paladin. Great mod. Bit of a problem though. Hair clips through the back if the helmet.
Nateification squad where you at (yes I meant to spell it like that)
Divine Potato I’m on the #notifiactionsqaud but I was late and I’m ashamed
natefication*
and wowwww
Sorry nateification squad and yeah wowwww indeed
Yuuumm that Dark Breton Armor reminds me of the Champion of Cyrodiil armor from Oblivion
One of my favorite mods is still Legacy of the Dragonborn (not realy underrated, but it doesn't get mentioned that often).
Project AHO looks absolutely amazing! Reminded me of the Forgotten City as well. Can't wait to try it out :)
Here’s a joke:
Nazeem.
TheFourWeirdos that's not a joke that's just depressing.
hAVE You VIsiTED ThE cLOUD diSTriCT!
Sneaky Three I am the dragonborn, the champion of every daedra, a war general and the thane of every city but fine no I haven't.
Get a mod like h.a.s.t.e that stops npcs from commenting as you walk by and the joke will be on nazeem
is Nazeem essential?
Lamp posts of Skyrim is one of my favorite mods.
More of this please!
Two of my favorite mods have to be the relics of hyrule and the lilith's tools mods. Relics of hyrule is perfectly implemented in skyrim and the all the weapons from the lilith's tools mod look so good.
I just started modding but what are the mods you use to make skyrim have orange leaves and stuff and pretty much a better look for skyrim?
I think the mod named Tel Nalta II should have a lot more appreciation and endorsements. That mod is simply one of the best mods ever made. You can build your own telvanni island with a lot of awesome features. Still haven't seen everything after all these years of playing Skyrim.
I’ll definitely check it out myself, although I apologize for the 4 year later comment.
I had actually played Project AHO just 2-3 days before this video was released and I have to say it is by far one of my favorites. Very immersive and a lot of lore to tie into the Elder Scrolls world.
Love the look of Artifact: The Bretton Knight
At last a video without mistakes
Liked. Time to watch.
Yay! Mod reviews!!!!!
I gotta say, I really want those last two Mods!
Ahh the Hold Riders in Oblivion!
Anyone else notice the voice crack at 7:37?
Isaac Patrick Yeah
Are you 12
Great now I'm going to have to change my mod list on my Xbox thanks Nate
Hey Nate, perhaps you could start a series on the fine details that players missed in the Beyond Skyrim mods.
Gotta help me out TEN315. Ive been looking for one of your vids you did where you had this circle map in the top left corner of your screen that told you where all the targets/bodies were but I cannot remember the name of it. Thanks for your vids. They're great. Subscribed.
Nate the mod you use for this better graphics and new font ,is it on Xbox and if so what is the name
The guy that made the first mod in the list has a few SUPER high quality vanilla armor retextures, his work is absolutely amazing
Knew about Project AHO, it's definitely on my list of mods I wanna play once I have the time to.
Draw already adds to the unfixable bug that is the brawl bug that two mods attempted to fix but failed to entirely.
There were a bunch of creature mods added in by one guy and one in particular stood out to me. I can't remember the name of it, but it was a new type of enemy that acted similar to the Witch from Left 4 Dead. They would camoflauge in the environment you were in and you would hear weepong. If you got too close they would scream at you and attacked with their screams or their claws. It always scared the fuck out of me especially at night compared with a night mod that made nights darker, and added a horror element to the forests in Skyrim.
What grass mood is that in the begaining riverwood?
AHO was amazing. Play this immediately. Non linear end, huge areas and new items and the world is dope
Guard Dialogue Overhaul has become an absolute necessity whenever I play now. You get to hear lots of interesting lines that usually get pushed aside by the game so that the guards can criticize you and your sweet rolls. (I'm not sure if it's this channel or another one that I found out about this mod) That and Loading Screens with Extra Sarcasm, because waiting sucks, but at least you can laugh while you wait.
The Dragon Age Greywarden armor mod is amazing.
@TheEpicNate315 can you provide the ENB for your Skyrim SE? It looks really good
Dear Nate for maybe yet another small details(my Favorite) when you pick up dragonfly it will create a unique noise. I don’t know if will work all the time as I’ve been playing since 2011 and I just now found it but I found it a nice detail on Bethesda part.
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, I love watching you grow. You put in the effort thanks for all the entertainment. :)
as soon as you compared AHO to my favorite quest mod, Forgotten City, i knew i had to play it.
Skullcrusher!! How I've missed you!
Dueling mod is absolutely fantastic, especially sparring with the companions in the training ground.
what visual mods are you using to make the game look so nice??
At the end of Japhets folly, theres a ship shooting fireworks immediately to the right of the door you exit
