    I did buy the S4 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Carbon Gloss White Mountains / Black for 3250 US (3150 CHF) here in Switzerland Yesterday. The S4 is sold out and they told me I will have it in 5-6 Weeks. Perfect for Spring. This Bike will replace my Scott Genius 🙂

      That is awesome! I think you will like it a ton! But 5-6 weeks is not bad at all, especially for that good of a deal!

    How did you swap out for the aluminum wheels. I’m interested in a new pro but I have no interest the axs wireless drivetrain. I’d be happy with gx and prefer aluminum wheels. Especially if they are lighter.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Рік тому

      I think the pro is spec'd super well. AXS is a lot better than GX cable in my opinion. Also the Carbon wheels that come with the bike have a super good warranty and are very strong. If you did want to change it out, I would say get X01 Cable at least, then maybe a DT Swiss 1700 wheelset with 240 or 350 hubs.
      But honestly it sounds like the exact bike you want is actually just the Expert model of the bike.

    • @eric44707
      @eric44707 Рік тому +1

      @@dialedmtb I agree. I think the expert is where I’m at. I like those fancy kashima coated fox factory shocks on the pro though. Are they really that much better then the performance elite’s? Are you aware of any changes besides color from year 22-24. There some nice deals out there now on left over models

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Рік тому +1

      So the Performance Elite forks feel identical to the Fox Factory forks. It has the same great damper and all the same adjustments so I would honestly say don't listen to anyone that tells you that Factory actually rides better than Performance Elite. Once you drop down to Performance level that is where there will be some differences in the feeling of the fork.
      From 2022 to 2024 Stumpy's the frames are the same, they just have a small spec change on some models and a different color. I would go with the models on sale for sure!!

    Nice Video Review. I am really torn between this bike and the Stumpy Expert. The sale they have going on right now is the only reason I am even thinking about the Pro over the Expert. DO you think it is worth the extra $1500 to go with the Pro over the Expert?? I ride half the year in the desert rock gardens of AZ and the other half in the flowy mountain trails of Colorado. I am also possibly considering the Stumpy EVO Expert. but I need a good climber and I don't think that one will do as well as these other two on the climbs. Nice helmet and shoes too! I have the exact same;). Keep it up Bro!!

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Рік тому +2

      Hey! So for me I think it is worth $1500 but that can change from person to person. I think you’re going to get basically the same feeling out on the trail from both of them. But a few of the things add up to me to make it worth it. The pro comes with a nicer cockpit (in my opinion) with the carbon bars, Deity grips and stem and those are things I would change on the expert so that would cost about $300, then I love the Bikeyoke dropper and end up putting that on almost all my bikes and that comes with the Pro also. I really like AXS and once again that’s on all my personal bikes and I really like that. Then the couple bonuses are getting some decent carbon wheels and carbon cranks on the pro. What I would say is the Pro will climb a small percentage better then the expert and on the decent it won’t be much different. So if I was recommending a bike it would be hard to skip the expert because of how good of a deal it is.
      Hope this helps and let me know what one you end up with!

      @@dialedmtb Thanks for the great advice. Went with the pro. Happy I did too, because the sale literally went away the day after I purchased and the bikes went back up to their normal price. Thanks for the advice and keep riding!!

    what better this or santa cruz Bronson?

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  2 роки тому +2

      That’s tough because they are just a different style of bike. If you like longer rides then the stumpy. if you ride super steep stuff that’s a little chunkier then the Bronson.

    If you had to personally choose between Stumpjumper, Stumpy Evo or Bronson, which one?

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Рік тому +1

      The Bronson would be out for sure. it would be between the Stumpy’s. If I was only have it 1 and was going to keep it for a year or more I’d go with the regular Stumpy for where I live. I could still go do some summer lift days with it and it would do fine and 90% of the riding it would be the most fun bike on. Where do you live though and what kind of terrain do you have?

      @@dialedmtb Thanks for the reply. I am in Socal and saw that you rode 5 Oaks and Car Wreck! Those trails are probably my limit as I am getting older but I wanted to get a Mullet to avoid the butt buzz. I was thinking about Stumpy Evo but I just saw that new Stumpy LTD is a Mullet! I am very Mullet- curious given my shorter legs! I haven't seen anyone mention Stumpy Mullet besides their website.

      @@radidoc4832 oh man that new Stumpy LTD would be absolutely awesome down there! I’d love to get one of those. With the 36, and the Float X I think you’d be set for anything you’d want to do! In my opinion, out of those bikes that’s what I would I go with 100%.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  2 роки тому +1

      I had the DT Swiss XR 1700’s. The carbon wheels this bike comes with are not that light for carbon. You have to get the SWORKS bike to get the lighter wheels.

      @@dialedmtb In the video you mentioned that the aluminum wheels are wider, but the carbon wheel set was 30 mm internal width and those DT Swiss aluminum wheels are 25 mm. Those aluminum wheels are geared towards XC bikes
