I feel like all too often creationists have a bizarre idea of how evolution works and have the mistaken concept of a fish making a monkey and a monkey making a human. They truly don't grasp how genes are passed on to generate mutations that are potentially useful and how that can lead a tiny number of mutations to propagate and slowly change across generations, not just one creature changing or one thing suddenly giving birth to something else. We have to spend less time assuming they know how it works and ask them to describe how they think it works so they can be heard, and we can see where the mistakes they are making crop up.
They are conditioned from birth to believe stories about magic. They live in an environment that reassures them of the supposed truth, the reality of that magic, and of the utter impossibility of any other viewpoint. It’s a wonder any of them ever stop believing.
@@HoneyTone-TheSearchContinues Yeah, I know 😞 I've made comments elsewhere on what a difficult imbalance science education is under, with virtually every moment of every day being saturated with religious thinking and reinforcement compared to the brief times in a scholarly setting of scientific exploration. But I feel like we still need to try, and that this is why it's important to show people science thinking outside a textbook.
@@FernLovebond I agree. But we’re fighting the social networking junk info culture that comes with ubiquitous pocket electronic devices - that science and technology have made possible and upon which anti-intellectuals have seized to spread and reinforce their garbage. 50 years ago mass communication - even in a relatively small area - was time consuming, expensive and subject to the whims of licensing (think radio or TV) or of the owners of the means of production and distribution (newspapers, books, etc.). All those had some means of content control. Now, the world is your nearly unrestricted mass communication oyster for practically pennies. What a world we’ve created.
Creationists have no concept of timescales of millions and billions of years either, because they think in millennia. Anyone who IS capable of thinking beyond 6,000 years understands that a lot of tiny changes put together lead to the big changes of evolution.

If the caller is not a 10 year old then he thinks like one...
That’s totally not fair.. to 10 year olds. 😂
Do these goobers not realize this is a recorded call? The way all of these dishonest callers immediately jump to “that’s not what I said” when you can skip 15 seconds before and listen to them utter that EXACT quote
What a condescending, passive aggressive, arrogant caller. Embarrassing how he tries to snarkily imply the hosts are unintelligent, then immediately proceeds to demonstrate his absolute and utter lack of comprehension of abiogenesis/evolution.
@@HoneyTone-TheSearchContinues Yeah, I know 😞
I've made comments elsewhere on what a difficult imbalance science education is under, with virtually every moment of every day being saturated with religious thinking and reinforcement compared to the brief times in a scholarly setting of scientific exploration. Indoctrination from this culture is ever-present, while science stays inside it's little hour in a little room once a day or every other day. How could it compete?
@FernLovebond Creationists seem to think that evolution follows the pokemon version of reality. Squirtle turns into Pikachu, and cat turns into dog.
This is your brain on religion. Any questions?
Yeah, what kind of a job can Keyon able to do with that amount of functioning frontal lobe?
@@dorkception2012easy President of the United States lol
@@stevesheppardmusic Nah, he would be overqualified for that...
I wish the caller wasn’t serious and actually has some education.
…this is a sad reality, unfortunately.
What bothers me most about that call is imagining all the people that thought Keyon was righteous, or won the argument. I know there are hordes of people whose minds cannot function because of religion and this is very frightening.
This caller is a sad commentary on our educational system.
Don't blame the teachers for this level of ignorance. Solely on his parents and pastors.
@@kevinkoch-jj1uj Depends. Many teachers, in the South especially, will not teach evolution.
@@kevinkoch-jj1uj no blame the teachers every single one in this dudes existence. Never once was he thought basic knowledge let alone the idea you have absolutely zero idea what's someone thinks so quit placing your thoughts as theirs.
This is 1st grade level knowledge. You do not get to try to control people by saying I know you know the truth, you just don't like it.
@alfonzocamero You seem agitated. No one is trying to "control" anyone nor read his thoughts. You're flat out wrong. He was indoctrinated by the time he hit kindergarten. His parents held sway over his beliefs since day one. He put his arrogant certitude on full display. Keep trying.
It's not always the fault of the system. I doubt this guy could learn anything if it bit him in the arse.
That flegmatic droning on with the "bruh" on top. Nothing more infuriating.
"Science is false, god did everything, so now you have to listen to me, do what I say, live your life the way I say and you must give me money because god says so."
Note to self, stay away from Utah unless I have to go.
"the truth"... That's the moment I cracked open a can and got my popcorn ready 😂❤🎉
I could never do what you two are doing, within 30 seconds of talking to this school dropout I would be calling him everything.
I talk to so many just like this on Clubhouse. Sound exactly the same, never listen, misunderstand everything and above all are arrogant in their ignorance. It is scary to know that there are so many people like this out there.
Yepp, and I see more people coming of age like this. Humanity will be devolved back into the dark ages because people like these.
This guy is the perfect example of the sheer ignorance an suspicion that represents the core of religion.
This man thinks the first human crawled out of a 'pool of DNA'... (sigh).
His question still doesn't make sense, though. The first man and woman that crawled out of the DNA-pool would be the parents and caretakers of the first baby.
There would be a lot of incest for the first few generations, though. Same as in his book.
EDIT: WAIT! I think I understand what he means! He wants to know how those first humans knew anything! In his religion, presumably God and Satan and Angels, etc were there to guide/train the new humans (pass on the 'divine human knowledge', as he says). But the poor humans crawling out of the DNA pool would be completely clueless! They had only just been DNA and didn't have parents of their own!
Wow. The mind of an idiot is a scary place to go.
In his book they're make out of mud or clay and god burps. No DNA required.
I don't know how old Keyon is, maybe 25~ish, but his utter ignorance does suggest that maybe school wasn't his thing.
Never try to think in “full idiot”, not everybody makes it back.
This is the same as the morality argument they do "how could humans know what is right and wrong without God" that's all he's really trying to do 😂
I really feel just sad for him. He has never gotten a very basic education. This is why it's so insidious that they are attacking our schools and education 😢
No his question dose infact make since stupid people just don't like the answer. babies are born and raised by their mothers or your a seahorse which just switch mothers to fathers, even orphan are born to their mothers. It's a 2nd grade question. Literally the first babies to ever exist were born we do not call cellular division birth and never will.
I’ve seen lots of things in church. Bibles. Robes. Pews. Walls. Stained glass. Floors. Food. Play-dough. A mini replica of the church that kids put coins in the steeple and it made the bells ring. People. Communion. Baptisms. It’s a big building with lots of things to see.
Dude had to be on some hallucinogenics. Something told him to call in. He's very polite with this strain.
Don Baker's suggestion to read 'The Ancestor's Tale' by Richard Dawkins is an excellent recommendation; a brilliant walk back, detailed, yet easy to 'walk along with'.
You reckon Keyon could follow it though?
@@twowardrobeswardrobes1536 (3 days later... ) No real idea; technically probably. Would he even allow himself to try? - not confident here - undoing shit is hard.

It never ceases to amaze me how many theists call into this show and act like they’re magically capable of reading the hosts’ minds. 😂

They were apes. There was no first human in a taxonomic sense, the categories connect to each other like a gradient. Your question is like asking which hex value between green and blue is the first blue hue. You need to learn more about the subject if that is a meaningful question to you. The category "human" is like the category "blue," so closely related to other categories that it's impossible to tell exactly where one stops and the other begins.
This caller has demonstrated that he doesn't have the intelligence to understand a single word you said to him
This guy has literally never been to school.
I agree with you guys. I’m an atheist but omg would you let people say a few words?!!!
This guy gets to vote. 🙃
...a really scary thought.....
He sounded sooo confident when he first opened his mouth, then he proved he had no reason to be as confident as he was. The sad thing he probably has sustained his confidence level no matter how many times his way of thinking has been proven wrong.
Unfortunately when you’re indoctrinated as a child. This religious brain can be hard to look back on..
Hi, atheist here, pastors kid, theology certificate from a Christian university. Again, atheist. Part of why…
When I was a teenager, nice day, playing basketball in the driveway with friends. For some reason, where babies came from came up. Everyone had the same answer.. except me. I spouted off what I was taught. “My parents prayed for all their babies”
Friends: no, your parents had sex.
I had nothing.. that made more sense.. even better, the windows were open to my home. So when I came inside, I got in trouble for “talking about sex”
Good riddance. I know my son will be much better off being encouraged to think for himself.
Having you on
Wait.. what.. you mean storks dont deliver babies to their homes? 😮
When I have Christians tell me that they know what I know or what's in my head. I tell them, "Are you some sort of a witch with magic power to read minds?"
That's enough to shut them off insulted.
Holy crap. The level of stupidity is astonishing!!
I love watching Don laugh in the faces of these callers when they propose ludicrous concepts....pure gold.
I don't understand how anything works but magic is fine and it makes perfect sense. I may be wrong but I get the feeling he's not a brain surgeon.
Did this guy seriously go “I made you mad therefore god is real”
The stupidity is baffling. It should be illegal for people like tis to vote.
What's even worse is that they breed too!
I’m at the gym listening to this with ear buds in.
When he said “your emotions are proof of god. You wouldn’t be so upset if you didn’t know god was real” I was laughing so hard I almost hurt myself.
Half the gym was starting.
He’s either a top-tier troll or a total idiot. I can’t figure out which.
Babies come from the sky crib. 😅
@3:56 "a common knowledge kind of human like we are today"...that's fresh!!
Then he must be a whole new species.
If knowledge were common, I don't think we'd have so many Keyon's to argue with.
seriously, you haven't heard of the birds and the bees? How can someone seriously call in with this...?
"But where did the sperm and the egg come from?? Who made us NEED to come from an egg and a sperm??
CHECKMATE ATHEISTS"
😂
He is asking how humans became conscious and where it comes from. That’s what he is calling “divine”; human consciousness.
Life is a complex organic chemical reaction.
It's a humble explanation, but it's what we know.
Is there something wrong with his mouth or is it the brain that keeps on giving orders for the mouth to make sounds? STOP TALKING!!! The stupidity is amazing.
Well i learned something new today... dont go calling random numbers after youve been lobotomized
