Change the abs module and yes it is the mass air flow sensor as well it’s not the purge canister it the one over top of gas tank. Then reset the ecu by taking both cables off connect them together for 60 mins then place back on battery. Then change the back pvc vale on backside of the throttle body. Do all before you reset ecu then calibrate gas pedal by turning which on yet don’t crank mash gas pedal to the floor very slowly and let come back up slowly repeat 5 times.
Today I sit in a Hotel, in Pennsylvania. I came off the highway to fuel up and the dash panel told me to service it and my brakes sound springy, pulsing like ABS. So it is Sunday, mechanics are closed and I sit here. I was 7 hours into a 13hour trip. I am glad it happened off the highway. I do like my Acadia, it has been dependable running up and down the East Coast of the US. It pulls hills great and it good on gas. I just hope the mechanics do not try to fleece me, now that I have an idea what is wrong. Gotta love youtube, you can learn about anything here. I learned it shouldn't cost a lot to fix.
Well...like many others I also have the same issues. Although this video is 8 mos. old - I do not see any updates. On my 2011 GMC Denali AWD (after thorough internet research) I have concluded that, AWD OFF, stablitrack OFF, parking brake ON (when it is not), ABS warning light ON, and NO cruise control - is the BCM is bad. I just got the new one in and tring to find a repair shop to program/flash it in. Will let ya know!
The stabili track problem can be caused by more than one sensor, may be the oil level or a bad sensor connection. I like GMC but my Acadia is a big pain.
Hey @bradzbulidz I appreciate your video I also have the same car its a 2011. My problem with her is that the ABS came on with the dash reading Service ABS / Stabilitrack System. With this problem going it caused the vehicle to drive under 60 mph like picking up speed almost like the transmission went out. Thats how weird it was driving. Thanks for sharing what problems u have with your vehicle. But if I was u I'll get that mass sensor
My 2011 Acadia SLT-1 has 174k miles. I love it and gets me where I need to go! Only problems I’ve had with the Acadia, me being the third owner is a fuel injector replacement, and engine belt. What I can’t stand about the Acadia is the gas mileage bring around 14.4 driving city/highway daily. Finally I can’t stand the headlights, I’ve had them buffed and had led lights installed and I feel I can’t see even with led fog lights.
Anybody having these issues also check your wheel bearing. The magnet on the back of the bearing can come apart causing erratic signal. It’s an easy check. If you’re ever stranded because of the sensors just unplug all four and you’ll be good until fixed.
@@wmdproduction6446 the sensors are the only wire running down to each hub. The fronts run down the struts and then to the hub. If you need to unplug them the back is very easy and you can just trace the wire to the plug. The front you have to follow it the wires through the inner fender where they are mounted inside the engine compartment behind some things.
Anytime you change the rear brakes on an Acardia you have to have a dealership level OBD2 Bidirectional Scan Tool to reset/recalibrate your ABS/Brake System
My 2015 Acadia SLT awd did this and it was abs, traction control and at high speeds it would buck/shake and lose power. My fix was rear new wheel bearing and new abs wire. I also did the brake sensor first it didn't work.. Seriously... Put a abs code reader on it see which one is going bad. Also I sprayed white lithium grease in all electrical door connectors.. loads of it..lol mine has ran great since..

If anyone is wanting to buy this car please do your research before buying it and make sure if you buy it used make sure everything is ok with it before buying it. My mom just had to buy a different car because of all of the problems with the Acadia
Ours was in perfect condition when we bought it, also had less than 80,000 miles. Within the 3 years of ownership I had to fix something almost every month. By the end it left us stranded in another state and the dealership we traded it to said it was a lost cause. Ended up $6,000 in the hole because they had to scrap it and that’s what we owed on it still. Worst car we’ve ever owned besides a Ford Fusion 🤣

The purge valve i one component in the system there is a sensor under the car at the rear of the vehicle vent solinoid and there is a canister that is also back by the vent solinoid that cleans the air to the gas tank. They get filled with dirt and stop working.
Change the pvc it gets clogged and want let the crank case breathe so it forces the oil throw the front tube that hooked to the air intake hose that's why you get the oil I had to change it on my daughter's acadia but I seems I can't find why the Stabilitrak and traction control want go off

Change the air flow censer it could be effective the vacuum advance causing a delay in shifting this the high rpm . also replace the fuse ,it may have a dommino effect on the other sencers
you need to have it better scanned. the small scanners, such as that at autozone will not show codes other than engine codes, such as abs codes. you might have a bad wheel speed sensor, which will throw the C0561 code. you also sound like you have a misfire. the exhaust noise my be your flexpipe, the small one up front (known to fail). but again, you need a more complex scan, particularly with live data. that stability track control notification most likely is not the abs module itself but rather a code you have not pulled with a more complex machine.
My traction control and stability trac would turn on then pressing the brake would turn off, the problem was the cable for signal from body control module to computer hope it helps
StabiliTrak has a sensor on each wheel, sometimes the wire gets corroded from Turning, moisture... You can bandage them so they don't short with Electrical tape.... Temporary fix, the oil is a tad concerning.
Also you never want to clean the throttle body like that. When you open the butterfly up without the key on it messes it up and you will have to have it re learned with a tool. You could possibly ruin it. Its electronic throttle body not cable so cant do that on newer vehicles no more
Had that problem found out what it was. There's air vacuum metal line that needs a plug on the right back of the engine that triggers all the sensors to go crazy I plugged mine no more messages or problems hope that helps anyone
Not the problem with ours. We traded it in about three years ago now after I replaced everything I could think of including half the exhaust system and never fixed it. I literally tried everything that’s ever been suggested to try with it and nothing worked for our Acadia so it had to go.
It say all wheel drive off on my display. I still drive and I wonder will it cause problem eventually? I mean I can't freak turn it on. It has abs on too
We put a new transmission in, fixed that sensor valve twice, replaced rhe front AC pump, replaced the AC line, had to get sensors fixed like twice. Dropped like 3kish into it. It worked fine for 6 months and now the rear AC isnt working and the Stabilitrak shit is back. Im going to either trade it in and get a new truck or take it out to the woods with my son and use it as a practice target.
They have problem after problem. My stable track is acting up, it says to service it but it won't turn on. It has been running hot, we had to replace the radiator. It leaks puddles of water on the front passenger floorboard. The headlights keep burning out. My AC quit working.
My headlights were burning bulbs 3 times a year. Change the sockets. They're about 5 bucks a piece. Haven't changed a bulb since, and that was almost two years ago. Hope that helps.

Lol Long story short after going through a 1000 tsb's, reviews, complaints, ect. Yes I think I'm ocd. They all lead back to an unknown issue that no one seems to fix. I found 1 person that stated that they were sitting and then went to go and the check engine light came on stab on off on off service stab and then smoke out the pipe and it would happen from time to time. I said f this and put my foot on brake and gas your not dying on me. I drove it like I stole it all the way home. I get home no codes wtf.... Here's the short of it. After 10 or so turn off and ons I finally get a p0302 misfire detected cylinder 2. The VVT camshaft phasers there are (4) 2 intake 2 exhaust are probably bad. I tore mine down and found that the intake camshaft phaser bank 2 closest to the firewall was bad. I replaced the vvt sensors as well. My intake was full of oil and carbon had to clean that up as well. A catch can is needed on this motor. I can't stress enough no one wants to hear internal but it seems to me that the issues lead back to this. Read up on vvt cam phasers. Also a timing job don't fix this most of the time because no one replaces the phasers. The motor is controlled by the advance and retard of the vvt system. Hope this helps
Run some chevron gas treatment like 2 jugs and a bit higher octane gas! Cats glogged would also eat gas and foul out your o2s. On mass air if you unplug it and it don’t change the idle Of your car then it’s junk
@@BradzBuildz Have you fixed the sluggish in your vehicle? I think it might be the catalytic converters. Also my car has a light smell of exhaust fumes at idle
@@jobanirubio5683 the first time it did it to me I put new catalytic converters on and it helped a ton but more problems kept popping up and eventually the car started acting sluggish and stinky like exhaust again. We decided to get rid or ours. Took a loss still owing on it but I was tired of throwing money at it. A lot of people comment on here which I am thankful for but everyone seems to have a different answer as to what it is so I seen a money pit that was definitely not worth it.
@@BradzBuildz ThxQ. Mother just gave me her 2017 Denali w/ 38k miles. Nothing wrong with it but they seem to develop many problems. Might want to trade it while everything works. lol
FIXED! My 2014 gmc acadia slt was showing traction control off and service stabilitrak after just a few mins of driving after about 35mph if I accelerated more than 1/3 throttle the truck would cut power in quick intervals making the drivetrain shake hard. So after finding that my brake switch sensor was always triggering the lights to be on and it had to do with the slack that built up over the years in my brake peddle... changing the sensor wouldn't fixed the problem... so I added a small piece of plastic to the sensor to fix the problem. I've been driving it alot over the last few weeks with zero problems! Hope this helps someone.
Brandon Warner, please explain in more detail for those who still own an Acadia. I sold ours a while back but from looking at pictures of the brake sensor I’m assuming you put the piece of plastic between the two prongs on the sensor so the brake pedal pin wouldn’t slide into the prongs too far? The play in the brake pedal must allow the sensor to rotate back just enough to activate the brakes 🤷🏼♂️
@@PerezAlberto89 glued a small piece of plastic [ 1/16" thick and the same W and L as the small arm(s) on the sensor) to inside of the arm so that it moved it (the sensor arm) back deactivating the bake lights when the brake peddle was at rest.
So many issues with this vehicle all give same thing about traction control. I've cleaned out that you just did, replaced throttle body, replaced mas air flow sensor, new plugs, new coils, new converters on exhaust, new brake pedal position switch, about to replace those magnet sensors on the wheels right now. If that don't fix it then idk. I seen somebody say something about a water leak so ima check it to. @@BradzBuildz I got so much invested in this geez I hate to do that but it don't seem like this issue can be fixed smh if it can't I guess that's what I will end up doing
I dont know that i would put any money into it anymore. The motor is ticking and these are know for engine failure. Its not your cats either. Its either your wheel sensor or the brake pedal sensor. If spraying the air filter tube out didnt work.

We got rid of ours and I’m surprised I still see people driving them. The whole vehicle should be a recall, give people their money back.
this is exactly whats happening to my car 0:15 my gmc Acadia
My wife bought a 2012 14 days ago. 122k on it. Drove fine first 75 miles. I drive it and I get the codes and it runs like crap. Lol
Long story short after going through a 1000 tsb's, reviews, complaints, ect.
Did this completely fix your issue
Change the brake light switch out it control the traction control and your speed sensors
Front wheel bearing sensors was the problem on my acadia
Lol. My 2008 Acadia has all those same lights on dashboard. 😂
Check the power steering pump for a pinhole leak
My truck is doing the same thing my abs light is on as well
Run some chevron gas treatment like 2 jugs and a bit higher octane gas! Cats glogged would also eat gas and foul out your o2s. On mass air if you unplug it and it don’t change the idle
Of your car then it’s junk
U habe one hell of a exhaust leak tho. That’s why u smell it. And prob why has no power !
Thanks for the advice. We don’t have the vehicle anymore but now I’ll know what to do if something like this ever happens again.
What fuse did you take out
I no longer own the vehicle but if I remember right it was the abs fuse I removed. It will also turn off your all wheel drive if your Acadia has that.
@@BradzBuildz removing the fuse disables the power steering?
@@BradzBuildz the steering was previously effected withe breaks everything was the same as yours
My Gmc Acadia feels slugish also what can be the problem?
I honestly don’t know where to tell you to start. With these vehicles it could honestly be anything.
It actually shut itself down and wouldn’t drive anymore on the interstate one time. Let it set overnight and the next day it ran again but like crap and wouldn’t go up hills.
Try the brake switch under the dash on the driver's side
I tried that, didn’t work
It could be the CV axcels
Change that brake light switch out it controls traffic control and and speed control
Buy Brake position sensor for the GMC Denali
I have a 2010 Acadia 🤯 pain in the ass same damn problem
We decided to get rid or ours. Took a loss still owing on it but I was tired of throwing money at it. A lot of people comment on here which I am thankful for but everyone seems to have a different answer as to what it is so I seen a money pit that was definitely not worth it.
It's your wheel sensor
My 2017 is doing this now.
Did you ever figure it out
No
@@BradzBuildz do you still have the truck?
@fbowie21 no
Lol mine is doing the same thing THE PROBLEM IS YPUR ABS SENSOR BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHICH TIRE IT IS !
Yessir.
Make sure you clean your pcv system
What year is it?
2012
@@BradzBuildz ThxQ. Mother just gave me her 2017 Denali w/ 38k miles. Nothing wrong with it but they seem to develop many problems. Might want to trade it while everything works. lol
@duckhunter8387 I would say that’s a really good idea
You just might be every GMC Acadia owners hero with this comment 👍🏼💯
A piece of plastic?
Where did you placed that piece of plastic? I'm very intrigued since I have that same issue.
Geez man just like this guy I still owe bout 6 grand on mine and just spent 6 grand on a brand new transmission to go in it as well. I do believe thus is the worst vehicle gmc ever made!
I finally cut my loses and traded it in. Negative equity on another vehicle but no more junk Acadia.
@@BradzBuildz I got so much invested in this geez I hate to do that but it don't seem like this issue can be fixed smh if it can't I guess that's what I will end up doing
@@jodybailey7179 I felt the same way but once the Acadia was gone I was so relieved.
Did u every figure it out?
I never did. Several comments on my videos as to what it could be and I had tried some of them before giving up on it and trading it in.
And Transmission, engine and Electrical problems. Biggest Lemon 🍋 ever.
Check your hub bearing the magnet most likely broke off
I dont know that i would put any money into it anymore. The motor is ticking and these are know for engine failure. Its not your cats either. Its either your wheel sensor or the brake pedal sensor. If spraying the air filter tube out didnt work.
O2 etc. You probably have a cat converter issue. Unfortunately:(
I wonder will GM stopping making the acadia to many problems
They make them still
I feel yo pain my brother
I never could figure out what the problem was so I traded it in on something else
@@BradzBuildz I’m thinking bout doing the same thing
Hey jetro ee dints wanna hear ur life story, just tell us about the thingamajig
A timing chain issue would cause a lot of issues as well
My ebrake light is now on
I think mine did the same thing but I was able to drive it without any issues.
😊
Ehuast manifold gasket
Too much talking bro.
Thanks for the feedback
Umm , I've never seen a video of someone not talking..
Haha this guy is all over the place he said he thinks it is about 10 different things.
This vehicle is nothing but junk. Whoever designed this vehicle need to be fired. And they made the repairs expensive. Such as replacing the starter. Something so simple as replacing the starter. You have to remove so many parts to get to it. Even Car wizard said the Arcadia vehicle is junk
They are junk. I’ve even had to replace motor mounts that broke. Gm needs to recall every Acadia. It’s a rolling junk yard
GMC 😂building home mechanics 🧰 since 1911😒
Definitely the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned.
Might be timing chain
You talk way to much about nothing get to the point. 👉
I got the same problem rigt now
I wish I could give you more advice on this subject but I never solved the issue and eventually traded the Acadia off to a dealership.
There another video that u have to clean all the sensors to get the problem fix just to let u know
But thank u for your video it show me alot
Thank u bro i realy appreciate
The video from dewi raymundo on you tube is good tood
