wow! what a fantastic video! Thanks man! The past few months I've noticed some wobble or smushiness in the shifting in my car and also when I'm just cruising in any gear and then I push on it. (even worse when I let off the gas then push on it again). I've decided to upgrade my rear motor mount to something beefier and replace the other two motor mounts with an original stock replacement. I have 157,000 on my mazdaspeed6 or what my mates over in your parts would call the MPS. I am going to take a look at the diff mounts when I replace the motor mounts but do you think my shift and gas pushing wobbling or mushiness will be fixed from replacing the motor mounts?

Had the same issue with my diff. Just brought this aluminium part to the welder (who's working with alu rims) and he welded the hole area around the damaged thread. Also he did new reinforcement "fins". Than I drilled new holes and installed studs with fine thread and threadlock. 40k kilometers - still no cracks in that area. I didn't even remove the differential from the car, just unscrewed the damaged part along with the clutch.

we had quite a few failures of the front mounting points of the rear diff in the uk club, we found that the bolts we're working loose over time and causing them to fracture, as a temp measure its worth getting underneath and checking the tightness as preventative maintenance whilst waiting for the important upgrade

what other problems do mps 6 have??? because I'm doing some research on this car, as it is currently on my list.

So.. if I want to put a new diff in, I don't need to lower or drop the subframe right? I can just remove the driveshaft from the diff, and the axles left and right, and then remove the diff from the subframe. My Mazda 6 MPS diff is rattling like crazy when driving with windows open, I have one video with the sound of it on my channel.
