I miss Bart everyone at donut has such great personalities but Barts energy was great
What happened to him?
@@HomeMadeBoards im going to assume he OD'd on coke
@@HomeMadeBoards he got fired apparently
@@JuanLopez-ss3mz is nolan the boss?
Juan Lopez the story I've seen repeated isn't so much that he was fired directly, but that after he went on paternal leave when his kid was born he was never asked to come back and as such was "let go"
Why do I feel like I can become an actual mechanic just by binge watching this channel 3 times
Because it's true :p anyone can become anything if you put your mind to it :)
@@magicbjorn i love your positivity! just wish it was true... all the time
Anyone can work on a 95 or older car IMO. And I only been looking into cars for a short period. So much is just swapping the piece. Just don’t do your own alignment and you’re golden
@@k1awesomeness it is true tho
@@idontreadreplies.252 i can try my best to become jeff bezos, but that is very impossible, at least to me
Bring this show back please! I'm trying to become a mechanic, I'm having a hard time getting on somewhere and these science garage videos are all I have!
3:10 They used lego technic lmao 10/10
For some people its easier to understand when someone is explaining something with this method. (Including me)
I have that LEGO the 2019 corvette ZR1👌
Honestly that was super helpful ngl
@@OK-pl7tl thanks
And they say if you cant explain it you have yet to undrstand it fully
3:10
Good old Lego Technic. That's how i learned how Differentials work back in the Day.
Also with this Episode i think you found the right Mix between Info, Jokes and Yelling. Good One!
TheKincognito Heck yeah
I'm pretty sure I have this set. The big crane.
Hahaha same for me!
I agree, donut, this video was informative, and kept on topic. and
entertaining
I remember this from middle school when I was in a robotics club.

This comment is two years old but it made me laugh today. Thanks.
"But unlike me , it has a drawback."
I lost it lmao
Bart is the best. His lame jokes and positive attitude brightens my day. Oh and he's super informative too.
The ring gear joke was too good.

There's LSD that didn't stand for Limited Slip Differential?
Janson Mathew not sure if you're joking, but LSD is a psychotropic drug.
GSD fan is GSD like LSD?
Bad Cornflakes 😂 German Shepherd Dog.
LSD, sometimes a diff, sometimes what happens to your phone
Let's find out. www.acronymfinder.com/LSD.html
Donut videos have made me laugh out loud plenty of times, but I’ve never found any of them more entertaining than when Bart is the host
I've watched this before, but I must say after doing more research and coming back to watch again, you did a spectacular job explaining things like the final drive ratio and such. Well done Bart!
YES! BART IS YELLING AGAIN!!!
Kenny K they tried to tone him down... but they couldn’t hold him.
Kenny K his name's Bart lol
Sorry, I slipped on a patch of icy baby oil and hit my head
Use Megaphone Bart
Yes, I'm in my happy place!
Phew, finally the passion is back. I was getting worried for Bart
He must have had some LSD. 😋
Bye bart
PARK this is a car video, not a”god is going to be born again and the world will die but everyone who is good will go to heaven” video, go talk about your religious stuff on a Cristian video, don’t stab your religion down our throats.
PARK imagine being as stupid as you
PARK yea sure, you’re just straight insane.
I freaking love how they used Legos to display how an open diff works
You are not only a good teacher, but you always put a smile on me on every video. Thanks for your awesome work!
I built a Lego Technic set truck with one of those differentials a couple years ago. It's so cool to put it together and see it work.
same dude took me 7hours to make!
I can't remember how long it took me, but I built the race car version first. Then I took it all apart and built the truck. Man, I want to do another one now just thinking about it again.
I haven't used Legos in years, but now I want one!
The Technics sets are very fun to do. 42041 is a great set
Kenny K it was a really good demonstration. Very easy to understand.
These videos confuse me yet at the same time I learn something new. Glad they exist.
Love this guy. Makes the technical stuff fun and easily understandable
This guy is awesome, speaking, information , comedy, editing, nothing could get done better
Ahh YEAH! Yelly Bart is back!
I like the way he yells more than the guy that intentionally mispronounces words like horsepower, carbon fiber (carbon fibber), and miles per hour (miles per err).

You can just tell he's the best dad ever and his kid is gonna be a genius
I seriously love science garage! Bart makes it easy and entertaining to learn and understand how things work!
bill nye vibes
It's important to note that clutch packs are pressed together by the preload spring and axial forces (the faster the driveshaft/axle spins, the harder they're pressed together). When they are not spinning fast, the clutch packs are allowed to slip thus the differential acts as if it's open, hence "limited slip".
Oh! Thanks, he should read the useful comments and include extra or missing info in a follow-up video.
i appreciate the vocab you put out there for visual effect so those of us that cant follow your 0-60 way of speaking. but at least i know what to research later
I watched 2 videos to understand the differential mechanism,I didn't understand any thing but when I saw this video ,it was magic . Man ! You're the best!! I'll watch all your videos . All my friends will be watching your UA-cam channel.
Love your vids, makes me crack up every time.
Almost 1M subs ...Keep up the awsm work guys

I hope to meet him one day and tell him how much his explanation of things helped me during school.
finally! i've been trying to understand this forever this was the clearest explanation I found
please don’t stop making these videos
Reminds me of Bill Nye when he did his fun facts bits in the show lol.
I literally subscribed today but the amount of things I learned is enormous. You can really find anything here!
you're too good bro. u're in the list of my top 5 youtube channels.
Im in band... And it mames me happy to see Papa bart reference us😂😂
Good info but you skipped helical gear style LSDs like a Torsen
aklip he said gear type lsd
Cody yeah, sure he mentioned it, but he completely skipped the explanation on them
Torsen is pretty complicated and awesome. Best to look at specific videos on them.
I absolutely loved this video. I knew what a differential did but I never knew how it worked. Thanks again. Love the humor.
I absolutely love this segment
Came here looking for help with differential equations, learned more than my professor could've taught me anyway 💁
BESIM X CARS lol I thought you were talking about math (Ik it's the joke) and I was like wth this guy talking bout math for here? 🤣
3:30 I laughed so hard with that joke idk why
Great video! Thanks for this excellent refresh on what people should know about their cars. I live in Canada because of our rugged weather, I sincerely think that all car should come with a limited slip differential either for front wheel drive or rear wheel drive cars. Open diff or traction control is for moderate weather and it is inadequate for what we have here. I think car companies should make the effort standardize limited slip differential on all models coming to Canada. Keep up the great work!
Donut is arguably the best car channel on YT right now. Keep it up!

Nice
What have you done to the Honda?
I love how he used the band reference. Takes me back. Good looking out. 👏👏
One million subs! So close. You guys have earned it. Congrats on all your hard work
can an open diff spin both wheels when you do a straight line burnout of is it always have to be one wheel peel?
Yes an open diff can spin both wheels as long as both wheels have about the same traction. But if suddenly there is a large enough difference in traction only one wheel will spin.
Let’s use LSD!! Oh wait wrong channel.
Y’all see that unicorn T-Rex over there?
Kade Connally Cringe
No... no... but i see the dragons in my kitchen!

Drugs are bad mkaay..
Help me come up with a creative short phrase for a joke about LSD, to be used as a bumper/window sticker or printed on clothing.
@Dacia Sandero guys because the CIA was the agency using LSD.
your vibe is amazing bro
loved it !!!! I had no idea how this thing works , now I have an idea about it and as soon as I have my hands on one of those I will take a better look inside it !!!!

An in depth video of the different kinds of engines (in line, v-shape, boxer) and how they work & how automatic transmissions work by Bart would be spectacular. It would complete the Holy Trinity. .........the Trifecta

I grew up playing Gran Turismo. for the most part it explained a lot of the mechanics and adjustments you can make on your vehicles, but one thing I never understood with the difference between a 1 way, 1. 5 way, and 2 way LSD. Maybe you could do that in your next video
An informative episode. Could you make a video explaining torque vectoring.
