Juan Lopez the story I've seen repeated isn't so much that he was fired directly, but that after he went on paternal leave when his kid was born he was never asked to come back and as such was "let go"

3:10 Good old Lego Technic. That's how i learned how Differentials work back in the Day. Also with this Episode i think you found the right Mix between Info, Jokes and Yelling. Good One!
I've watched this before, but I must say after doing more research and coming back to watch again, you did a spectacular job explaining things like the final drive ratio and such. Well done Bart!
PARK this is a car video, not a”god is going to be born again and the world will die but everyone who is good will go to heaven” video, go talk about your religious stuff on a Cristian video, don’t stab your religion down our throats.
I can't remember how long it took me, but I built the race car version first. Then I took it all apart and built the truck. Man, I want to do another one now just thinking about it again.

I watched 2 videos to understand the differential mechanism,I didn't understand any thing but when I saw this video ,it was magic . Man ! You're the best!! I'll watch all your videos . All my friends will be watching your UA-cam channel.
To be honest - I don't really care for cars and engines and all that other stuff. I was just curious about braking. But how you explained everything, I ended up watching ten videos and subscribing. I wish there was more teachers like you.
It's important to note that clutch packs are pressed together by the preload spring and axial forces (the faster the driveshaft/axle spins, the harder they're pressed together). When they are not spinning fast, the clutch packs are allowed to slip thus the differential acts as if it's open, hence "limited slip".
i appreciate the vocab you put out there for visual effect so those of us that cant follow your 0-60 way of speaking. but at least i know what to research later
I grew up playing Gran Turismo. for the most part it explained a lot of the mechanics and adjustments you can make on your vehicles, but one thing I never understood with the difference between a 1 way, 1. 5 way, and 2 way LSD. Maybe you could do that in your next video
These videos inspired me to play Forza Horizon 4, it's so fun to learn about the insides of a car and how they affect the overall driving experience! Love the videos keep it up :)
An in depth video of the different kinds of engines (in line, v-shape, boxer) and how they work & how automatic transmissions work by Bart would be spectacular. It would complete the Holy Trinity. .........the Trifecta
Another thought you could have mentioned about why differentials are needed: Think of trains, which have solid axles on all wheels, including non-drive wheels. On a sharp turn they screech and squeal because one of the wheels has to slide.
Nigga we bout to hit 1000K 👀 Also fellow petrol-heads, today I achieved my drivers license. I also bout a Honda.. Ruckus, yes a Moped, still a Honda, great fun. It will help me work to save up for a Honda Civic.. or Subi. Wish you all well fam, much love and respect 🤙🏽
Yes an open diff can spin both wheels as long as both wheels have about the same traction. But if suddenly there is a large enough difference in traction only one wheel will spin.
The limited slip I installed on my Mustang has a slightly different design. Instead of clutch discs on either side, an S-shaped spring is fitted between the two axle spider gears. The spring pushes against the spider gears, creating resistance. The open diff I yanked out didn't have this spring. If the car is going straight, the spring rotates with the axles. If one axle tries to spin faster than the other one, the spring's resistance limits slippage. This was a Ford Racing Performance Parts LSD I installed on an SN95 (Ford has since discontinued production of this unit), so the newer S550s may use clutches.
