Skip the Lumpia and the Pancit, that is just Chinese spring roll and Chinese stir fry egg noodle. Unless the pancit comes from a very old Chinese restaurant in Philippines. Because some Canton in Philippines is better than those in China. Still, Philippines is not the best country for fried noodles. Thailand's padthai is more iconic.

Hey Wannie. Thanks for sharing these food reviews. I like Filipino food. But we don't have one in the area. So you're just making me hungry. One Love! Enjoy... ❤️🐞😁
The fruit in the halo halo that you said tastes like a cross between a pineapple and a peach is actually jackfruit. The Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries have many exotic fruits like jackfruit that are so yummy!

Next time squeeze some lemon in the pancit. It enhances the flavor even more. And try dipping the bbq skewer in spicy vinegar. Ooh! Now that’s fire!! If you haven’t already, try lechon kawali or crispy pata and most def dip that in the vinegar or lechon sauce. Omg! Life changing!! Here’s to more food adventures!

it made me smile when she backs up on the ukoy when she tried it with the vinegar sauce. ukoy and vinegar sauce really hits hard and goes hand and together. 💯
Wow that place is amazing. It is just a small food truck but a lot of food options, and those options are not even like the basic Filipino dishes, like the Ukoy, buchi, and Pineapple Chicken with coconut, I don't expect to find those easily in other Filipino restaurants here in the US, so those are a tad advance dishes tbh, lol. Like the ukoy, I have a feeling you will not like it at first, it is quite an acquired taste. In the halo-halo, you had something that taste like pineapple or peach, that is actually the ripe jackfruit, which you also mentioned(looking for) during the turon tasting lol. Thank you for featuring our dishes, I'm Filipino btw, living in Boston now.
Okay so this food truck is winning then wow lol. I thought all places would’ve had these dishes. They are actually expanding their menu next month I believe once they get their bigger food truck. It's the Chinese that believe eating long noodles will prolong your life, which the Filipinos adopted. The pancit Canton was adopted from the Chinese noodle dish. Canton was the former name Guangzhou in China. Here in the Philippines, pancit is named after a place where the noodle dish originated like Pancit Malabon from Malabon City. Hence, Pancit Canton from Canton or Guangzhou, China. Steamed buns are a staple of Chinese restaurants here in the Philippines and not in Filipino restaurants. Steamed buns are of Chinese origin.
that turon is fancy...and sugae overload, too! we don't really put caramel sauce on turon because it's already sweet. the banana is sweet, the jackfruit is sweet and you already have caramelized sugar outside. no need for additional diabetes! 😅😅😅
Fancy indeed as we want to make them extra special for our customers. By the way, we don’t put sugar inside our turon, just Saba banana and jackfruit. We also don’t use cane sugar but palm sugar and coconut milk for our drizzle. It is meant to complement the natural sweetness of banana and langka fruits. Would love for you to try Dad’s Best version of turon 😊.

Hello beautiful queen 👑 that food looks delicious and you look so beautiful ase always thank you for the awesome amazing beautiful video thanks queen 👑 love you ♥️♥️
Cheers from the Philippines! Great to see you enjoy Filipino food. Yes, these are the popular ones you'll find everywhere. BEcause we have such a diverse local culture-I'm talking regional including our very own indigenous tribes (we do have them)-and diverse outside influences: talk Chinese (the pancit, siopao), Japanese (adapted cold cnack/dessert halo-halo with our very own fruits and pop rice), Spanish (the marinated chicken you loved; the pineapple and coconut in it + rice is the Filipino twist); American, too but not in your selection (try our version of the burger next time, though). Buchi is both Chinese and Japanese influenced. Overall, you won't find any of these in Chinese, Japanese, Spanish restaurants, though, but similar dishes. You'll instantly discover that they taste different, however, especially after having tasted Filipino-cooked and prepared food like you just did. Happy eating Filipino food again next time!
Oh, thank you for your reply as well, @@ItsWannie If I'm correct that you're in Texas, check out Flip 'N Patties in the Houston area where a friend who got a short-term scholarship in Houston told me about it and frequented it. It's already a fusion restaurant, though (Filipino-American), and he said said that the place started as a food truck, too. And yes, great that you mixed your halo-halo first-we'll give you fives for that ü
If im not mistaken, the one you were talking about like pineapple+peach is the caramelized/sweetened jackfruit or in Filipino term minatamis na Langka. Btw, ukoy/okoy pronounced as ooh-koi or o-koi depends on the region.
@@ItsWannieyou can find it canned easy, but some grocery stores have the actual fruit. they are big so you might be paying 20$ for one. Also look up how to cut it

Thank you for that educating me Pooh 🥰 i appreciate that!!! Excited to find the burger
And yes, great that you mixed your halo-halo first-we'll give you fives for that ü
rice is a must when eating in filipino food, it's a good way to balance all the flavours of the food if you have it with rice.
I can definitely see that. Cutting through the rich dishes
Heyyy how are you? I love your videos. It looks delicious 😋🤤 I've never tried myself either.. Will definitely have to one day.
I’m great!!! How are you? Thank you so much 🥰❤️you should definitely try it
Loved the video Wannie the food looked amazing enjoyed watching !!!!!!♥️🥰
Thank you Cindy Pooh 😍🥰
If im not mistaken, the one you were talking about like pineapple+peach is the caramelized/sweetened jackfruit or in Filipino term minatamis na Langka.
Btw, ukoy/okoy pronounced as ooh-koi or o-koi depends on the region.
Yes someone told me in the comments it was jackfruit so I’m like yeah I gotta go buy jackfruit now 😂 ooh-koi got it 🥰 thank you!!
@@ItsWannieyou can find it canned easy, but some grocery stores have the actual fruit. they are big so you might be paying 20$ for one. Also look up how to cut it
Try Kare Kare, sisig and crispy Pata next time.
I’m definitely trying that I just looked that up. Thank you for the suggestions 🥰
Wannie, we will soon have them on the bigger foodtruck!
watching you, makes me wanna eat as well ❤🎉 we filipinos love watching videos that featuring our culture, foods and etcetera..😁❤❤❤
