    May have to buy this dvd. It would not do Branch justice to just watch this off of youtube. I love the soundtrack clips added in to the training, makes it seems more epic and like he is really at battle with the weights!!

    Love that Disturbed songs in the background! Just right atmosphere to train!

    sometimes it's not what you do, but how you do it. I've done all of these exercises, then i decided to follow this workout, trying to match his intensity (but definatley not the weight) bottom line... it works. Branch is the !!! MAN !!!

    Its funny people getting mad at his form, branch does what works for him and it clearly works. Branch also said he hasn't changed his workout in like 5 years which again is what people say you shouldn't do. Everyone's different so shut up and train!

    never seen such crazy volume or intensity in my life. JEEZ. Inspiring but i would be downright scared every time i walked in the gym that i would walk out injured. takes a man and a tough one at that to do this. mirin

    Its a style of training. Some people feel there muscles better going heavy and having ballistic style form. Me personally if I do strict bent over rows barbell rows I don't feel it in my lats near as much if as if I load the bar a bit heavier and do somewhat of "cheat" rows I get a much better stretch and contraction personally. Other exercises are different. Its really just personal preference and something you have to figure out for yourself. Strict form or ballistic form, intensity levels etc

    Well, I train at one of those commercial gym chains like Gold's and World Gym. If you grunt, swear, and throw plates around like that, you get kicked out. So, it's not like I don't want to train "hardcore", I just cannot be too high-key about it.

  • @knappingprodogy
    @knappingprodogy 12 років тому

    Body builders don't just focus on lifting a heavy weight. It is more about getting the full stretch and contraction of the muscle. So if they are swinging the weight up, you can bet they are sqweezing like hell at the top and also focussing on the negative rep as the weight drops.

  • @hlslayer123
    @hlslayer123 11 років тому

    Haha it's different for everyone. It helps him clear his workouts which are obviously high intensity. I'm 15 and my local rec center people are swearing all the time. It doesn't really bother me if it helps them out :p

  • @nlm1306
    @nlm1306 11 років тому

    True, he's also had some freak injuries though. His latest that caused him to miss the '11 Olympia was when he slipped on a wet parking lot. Injuries happen with that kind of weight. Jay tore his bicep and his form has never been in question. Branch's form definitely isnt ideal with a lot of exercises but what I meant was it's not nearly as bad as a lot of people claim.

  • @SplinterCellFugitive

    @Jezey33 thanks for the agreement. Branch is denser probably because He trains with heavier weights. its also why he is stronger. Probably has a little more white fibers to play with than Jay. Only other bodybuilders that are close are Johnnie Jackson and Stan Efferding. Jay wins because he has width and proportions that are rarely matched. But now that Branch won the Arnold classic, I am pretty sure he will be number 3 MINIMUM this Olympia.

  • @nlm1306
    @nlm1306 11 років тому

    It's not as bad as it may seem. There's more than one way to skin a cat. What's important is that he's getting a good stretch and a good, hard contraction to the appropriate muscles on every rep. Branch goes at the weights differently than guys like Phil or Kai but he still bears results. If his form was really terrible he would be constantly getting injured moving that kind of weight.

    I believe Branch is considerably stronger than Jay. probably Phil too. Branch reportedly did squat 841 pounds. probably did that raw too. Jay only squats around 650. Jay Benches around 550 for 2 reps. Branch did 585 a couple years back. Branch also did 740 deadlift a couple years back and a 315 barbell curl whereas Jay only did a 226 barbell curl. Branch is crazy
