I almost became a Poor Clare in Minnesota. I literally came within weeks of walking through that door. I am profoundly grateful for the marriage I was called to instead. But it is beautiful to be reminded of that dear life I felt once called to. It is a beautiful life of giving. I'm so deeply grateful for those blessed Sisters. They ring our world with prayer. Thanks be to God.

What surprised me were the candid acknowledgements of the many sacrifices they made in order to enter and to remain within the enclosure. Very cool!! Looks like a great community. This is Beautiful; it is nice to be alone with Jesus our lord sometimes. The devil attacks every day. Life is a battle between good and evil but I feel that we have a job to do in bringing others to the Holy Table. Jesus did not hide and was in battle much more than us. Satan would have loved to alter just one holy thought. I can see that the dwelling has got everything and yet there would be just up the road or around the corner a soul that needs the care and the love of such holy people. Peace be with you all. pj

Sister today I made my second loaf of bread. I used the same ingrediants the same ants. It came out 3xs the size of my first loaf. I also made granola. The kitchen smelled good all day. God blesses us in His own way every day. We just have to learn to meditate and recognize His blessings. Looking for just the right vessel to make wine in. Living in the mercy of the Sacred Heart.

I think I can speak for the nuns when I say it is a huge challenge to live in such close quarters with 10 other women! You can be sure there are disagreements and squabbles and the full range of the human experience except for sexual relationships,. There;s nothing perfect on this planet -- not even behind the enclosure wall.
No it doesn't mean they are now Holy,leading pious life they are now exempted from sins, sufferings, trials, tribulation in life. No it doesn't. They are still sinners No one is perfect here on earth. They are sinners just like ALL us trying their best in the helped Grace by God to try again to be sorry to God repent through confession. They also suffer, struggling both internal and external. No one is exempted from sufferings problems in life Even Our God Christ suffer, problems here on Earth so does ALL of us also suffer too. Our Lord Jesus said, take up our cross and follow him it means be patience and Trust him on our problems, suffers in life.
Conduit to God is an appropriate description for the Poor Clare Sisters. 11 sisters- strong producing countless miracles on a daily basis for the monastery's devotees. They may be hidden to our eyes but not to our hearts.

I don’t like the grills and screens. While the focus is on God, remaining completely separate from mankind is not what He wants. Jesus walked amongst the people. He physically touched men, women, and children. Jesus hugged, and shook hands. To love the Lord is to also love your neighbor, not be apart from them.

I don't believe in living behind closed doors. I know it's a closed order, but Jesus would like people to go out in to the world and teach people The true gospel of Christ. The best explanations I ever heard for cloistered religious life were directly correlated to Christ. 1) If we are the body of Christ, those who preach and teach are the mind/voice of Christ, those who are missionaries are the hands and feet of Christ, and the cloistered religious are the heart of Christ. 2) There are many Christians who imitate Christ in his last 3 years of life by ministering to His people but why shouldn't there be cloistered religious who imitate the hidden first 30 years of his life?
Sisters of Christ must be treated properly not imprison them. Now thing of a brother that created the universe how would such government treat his sisters? Heavenly sisters bro. Go to mentions pray with them when they eat meals and peoples houses pray for their children, go to hospitals pray for the sick, go in vacations pray for the lost, go to your families thank them for their efforts, go to governments collect the money you need, go to parties pray for the lost souls, go to wedding do your nails put on your crowns and a white dress and dance and be joyful, go to funerals and weep with those who weep, go to the church and sing your heart out. Go into your room read the Bible and pray for all the chosen ones. There is so much to do for sisters of Christ.
