*Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.* James 4:8. Expect opposition or indifference from many people you know, Beulah. Pray for them constantly as the sisters do.
"The 666 man will come out of the church and announce he is a homosexual at a pageant." God and Jesus (see Daniel 11:37 in the Douay-Rheims Holy Bible; next closest KJV)
I chased after earthly things and fame in my teenage. I get never satisfied. But one time I went to a convent. It changed my life. That cathedral gave me the peace which I had never experienced. I really loved the church. I really like the message . 🥺💕
What an amazingly beautiful vocation story! One of our daughters is currently discerning a call to religious life and my wife and I pray she answers God’s call if that’s what He wants of her. Thank God for all of you Religious!
I grew up in the 50’s and went from 1st grade to my BA in Catholic Schools. I was blessed to have sisters for teachers in elementary and high school. Best teaches I ever had.
Wow ! Thank you sisters for your serious commitment to Jesus, Mary and our REAL Catholic faith !!! In times of great confusion keep up your commitment to the KING !!! May He bless you all for your hard work and faith !
Love the CK's! I miss my visits to Bishop Finn and the motherhouse in Crete. Massachussets is a long way from Lincoln. I pray for the continued success of vocations to such an amazing order!
I Had never heard of your order. I was educated, pre vII, by the Immaculate Heart sisters and the Daughters of Charity and the Franciscan sisters. They were all in habit and such holy women. Now that I am old, I think back to what they taught us. I have beautiful memories. Nice to meet you.
It's beautiful to see these young sisters in habit and assisting young children with learning about Christ, Our Lady and the Saints as well as their general learning that is essential for their future. ❤
Great Sister Marie Amata... your vocation IS A GIGANTIC INSPIRATION to all: your great smile is the reflex of the love and relationship that you have with THE KING ! May He bless you for the rest of your life !
I’m not a practicing Catholic now but it was Nuns from Ireland 🇮🇪 that taught me the Bible in school. They started at the beginning and went through all the relevant parts. I bet that doesn’t happen in this country much these days.
I am a christian, my faith doesn't believe in "vocations" but we have callings. We serve by volunteer in my church. There are a couple things you said that I believe also apply outside religion and are basic principles of life. You mentioned how you were willing to let go of being a mom and tell the Lord that you would do as He would have you. I think society today doesn't understand how deep it really is to just let go of something you so dearly want, in place of something else. In my faith, one of our apostles once said "you can have what you want or you can have something better." Meaning that what we want, isn't always the best for us. In my faith, we do get to have our callings and become parents, if that is what the Lord has in store for us. I considered it deeply humbling when we are willing to humble ourselves to where we will give up what we want. Its not something to boast about or consider someone to be strong about, its deeper. The other thing you mentioned was how you wanted to be a teacher. I believe, not necessarily everyone in my faith believes, but everyone is a motherly or fatherly figure to someone. We all have the instincts and becoming a biological parent is not required to have those instincts inside. I do think you did get what you want, wrapped in another package. You probably are a motherly figure to some of the students you teach. Thank you for sharing.
I wonder what the link is now between these SIsters and the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Westchester PA is nowadays. The IHMs nurtured this community but then abandoned many of the principles upin which this community was founded. I really believe in Catholic education and he religious life but I can't see much spiritual depth in this community.
You need to contact either the Reverand Mother or the Director of Vocations of the convent you want to enter. They will give you the information that you need.
@@Itz_CamyyTMF yes. And i am doing okay serving him still outside the convent ☺️ It doesn't matter where we are and what state of life as long as we do what God is asking of us to do...i think that's the most important.

The habit they are wearing was the habit of the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from Philadelphia. Those sisters, whom one of my sisters is a member, trained these sisters when their community was formed. It was the first time that anyone bit an IHM actually adopted their habit. These sisters changed the color of their veil to blue to match the habit. The original was black. The IHM sisters in Philadelphia were not thrilled that their garb was being used by another group but it had been agreed upon by their leadership and the bishop requesting this new foundation. I remember when they were established. Its nice to see this habit is still in existence because the original Philadelphia group changed from this in 1989. Hope this helps.
I am a non-religious person, but I was born Muslim. I have huge respect for Catholics and nuns. Thank you
I'm trying to find my way back to God, you don't understand how encouraging her story is to me. God bless

Grand Silence? They still practice Grand Silence?
I don't understand God and religion. Because poverty, crime and corruption is based on so called God and religion.
