My friend became a canoness with this order. She had led a full life in the world - careers, marriage and friends. But she was called to devote herself selflessly later in life. Just last weekend I attended a fundraiser for the sisters. They are almost self-sufficient with their cheese enterprise. The Norbertine priests and canoness are beloved by many in Orange County. Beloved.
These women did the supreme sacrifice for us: quietly retired from our vanity world to embrace a humble and hidden life in their monastery, praying for us, doing penitence for us all their lives. Thank you my beloved sisters and God bless you all forever.

I identify with Sr. Mary Norbert. I grew up then too. I have a family so I am a mother but I am so inspired by these amazing women. Brides of Christ are such a blessing to us all -- doesn't matter the denomination.

I thank the nuns for being the powerhouse of the whole church. They pray for at least 4 hours a day. Together with the prayers of the saints they counterbalance the evils in the world.

Consider putting apple cider vinegar in the cows water. This done daily will assist with increasing milk production and the amount of cream on the milk. One cup in water for 2 cows. In the insane asylum, when I was a patient, they gave us the choice between fried eggs and boiled eggs. Some had no visitors for many years but thank you for your prayers. You look so happy.

I had a nun for a teacher in 1st grade and I know she loved us but she was quite intimidating- one thing I understand now (and only after being confirmed in 2015) was what a great gift of faith I received from her and the school, and for that I am eternally grateful, and pray for her often (I don’t even know if she is still alive).
Evan Soenke ...such a shame. I had the most awful nuns in elementary school. My first day of first grade...I was waiting in line at the drinking fountain with 2 little boys in front of me. They were spitting water at each other, typical little boys, & Sister Mary Carlotta, the principal, came up behind them & shoved theirs heads into the metal drinking fountain. I will NEVER forget those boys bloody mouths as they stood there crying with no one to help them. Just sickening really. Monsignor O’Sullivan was just as bad...threatening us all with a whipping if we missed a catechism question. This is no way to teach a dog, let alone vulnerable young kids.

I loved this video. The cheese looks so delicious, the jams and cards, too. The religious books & artifacts, and all the things are incredible. What beautiful farm animals God has made, on an incredible piece of land, in the CA mountains. The sisters are very spiritual and so blessed. My cousin died in July 2018, she was 104 yrs old, a Sister of St Joseph, in Brentwood NY. Her brother was a priest, & her sibling was a cloistered nun. My uncle was a Franciscan Capuchin priest, gone back to the Lord, in Sept 2017, age 88. My other cousins were Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, both lived well into their 90's. May God bless the thousands of religious souls, and the beloved Sisters serving God in His great big wonderful world. May Charity & Love always prevail. Thank you Sisters. God bless you all.

At around 12:50 they ask the priest about the importance of the sisters to the abbey but all he seems to answer is how he and the priests are important to them. He mentions no reason why the sisters themselves are important to him, the abbey or others.
That is b/c the poor little sisters are not important. The sisters are there to make the money, clean, cook, care and for pray. They’re there to make sure the priests have EVERYTHING they need. You sure don’t see a priest do half of what these nuns do. This is the worlds greatest lie. Prayers at 1:00am and again at 5:00am for spiritual vows, really? They should pray so much. Start their day by praying for those sneaky, free loader priests. When I went to Italy and saw a priest robes cost $64,000, U.S. dollars, imagine that. Because the Holy Spirit is guiding the Church to new paths away from the old Imperial model to a newer purer expression of the Gospel. The Church was never supposed to be some earthly empire, it was never supposed to be politically powerful. The new path is hard. It is uncomfortable. It is not safe. It does not bring with it any social approval. It requires us to truly prectice the unconditional love of God, and that goes against everything our fallen nature finds logical and true.

I thank the nuns for being the powerhouse of the whole church. They pray for at least 4 hours a day. Together with the prayers of the saints they counterbalance the evils in the world.

Consider putting apple cider vinegar in the cows water. This done daily will assist with increasing milk production and the amount of cream on the milk. One cup in water for 2 cows. They love it and will eat soil where the vinegar has been spilt.

In the insane asylum, when I was a patient, they gave us the choice between fried eggs and boiled eggs. Some had no visitors for many years but thank you for your prayers. You look so happy.

I had a nun for a teacher in 1st grade and I know she loved us but she was quite intimidating- one thing I understand now (and only after being confirmed in 2015) was what a great gift of faith I received from her and the school, and for that I am eternally grateful, and pray for her often (I don’t even know if she is still alive).

Evan Soenke ...such a shame. I had the most awful nuns in elementary school. My first day of first grade...I was waiting in line at the drinking fountain with 2 little boys in front of me. They were spitting water at each other, typical little boys, & Sister Mary Carlotta, the principal, came up behind them & shoved theirs heads into the metal drinking fountain. I will NEVER forget those boys bloody mouths as they stood there crying with no one to help them. Just sickening really. Monsignor O’Sullivan was just as bad...threatening us all with a whipping if we missed a catechism question. This is no way to teach a dog, let alone vulnerable young kids.

I loved this video. The cheese looks so delicious, the jams and cards, too. The religious books & artifacts, and all the things are incredible. What beautiful farm animals God has made, on an incredible piece of land, in the CA mountains. The sisters are very spiritual and so blessed. My cousin died in July 2018, she was 104 yrs old, a Sister of St Joseph, in Brentwood NY. Her brother was a priest, & her sibling was a cloistered nun. My uncle was a Franciscan Capuchin priest, gone back to the Lord, in Sept 2017, age 88. My other cousins were Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, both lived well into their 90's. May God bless the thousands of religious souls, and the beloved Sisters serving God in His great big wonderful world. May Charity & Love always prevail. Thank you Sisters. God bless you all.

At around 12:50 they ask the priest about the importance of the sisters to the abbey but all he seems to answer is how he and the priests are important to them. He mentions no reason why the sisters themselves are important to him, the abbey or others.
There is always another side to every story.. all is not always as it seems
That is b/c the poor little sisters are not important. The sisters are there to make the money, clean, cook, care and for pray. They’re there to make sure the priests have EVERYTHING they need. You sure don’t see a priest do half of what these nuns do. This is the worlds greatest lie. Prayers at 1:00am and again at 5:00am for spiritual vows, really? They should pray so much. Start their day by praying for those sneaky, free loader priests.
When I went to Italy and saw a priest robes cost $64,000, U.S. dollars, imagine that. While the sisters give their every little dime to their God.

"LOVE, that is intimacy with Him who is all Love, and who humbles Himself to ask His creatures not to leave Him alone, but to give Him their love.
"CONFIDENCE, that is trust in Him who is goodness and mercy. . . . With Him whom I live with day and night. . . . who knows me and whom I know. . . . who loves me and whom I love. . . . In Him who calls His chosen souls in a special way to live with Him, to know His Heart and so to trust Him for everything."

Because the Holy Spirit is guiding the Church to new paths away from the old Imperial model to a newer purer expression of the Gospel. The Church was never supposed to be some earthly empire, it was never supposed to be politically powerful. The new path is hard. It is uncomfortable. It is not safe. It does not bring with it any social approval. It requires us to truly prectice the unconditional love of God, and that goes against everything our fallen nature finds logical and true.
