    The best video on the install on this set up. I like the upgraded pinch bolts instead if the jam nut on the drag link. Just an FYI a little antiseize would be advised at least on the adjuster sleeves. Well done on the alignment with string lines just keep in mind if you are installing an adjustable track bar that will havto be lined up with the back and front as well before the front allignment. there was a few year models that had defective knuckels y 12 model had one and caused all kinds off issues till i fugered this out and replaced. good luck to any that take this on

    I have been running the Synergy MFG steering for about 3 years or so on my 07 2500 Ram. I have 6" lift and 37" tires. If you are turning larger tires with a lift I would stay away from the Synergy kit. The rod ends wear out too quickly and they are proprietary so you can only get them from Synergy. I had trouble getting parts for mine for the 2 years of the pandemic since Synergy was forced to close shop for a bit. I have to replace the rod ends at least once per year sometimes twice. About every 6 to 9 months my steering develops a good bit of slop and I have to replace the rod ends. I am getting ready to go to a Hiem joint T style steering.

    • @isolateddieselperformance3261

    This is a great video of the install, but do you have any pointers on removing the tie rod end from the knuckle? Im having a hell of a time getting the driver side out. It does not want to budge at all. There is no room to get a pickle fork in. And I've deformed the ear a little outside of where the tie rod stud goes in from beating on it so much.

  • @theadventurecrew5719

    Cannot get my pitman arm joint off. Looks like maybe you drilled a hole in the end of the bolt? Any tips getting it off? Have used many of your videos and appreciate all you do. Just can’t get this part off. Ruined one puller. Tried a pickle fork. At a loss

  • @mikeloomis2091
    @mikeloomis2091 Місяць тому

    Did the washers come in the kit when you spaced the castle nut on the pitman arm? And when you did the alignment with the string was that so you did not have to take it and get a tire alignment you just did it yourself? Stupid questions probably but I not as well rounded as you seem I will have to take the truck in for a professional alignment🤣🤣

    • @isolateddieselperformance3261
      @isolateddieselperformance3261  Місяць тому +1

      All washers came with the kit. Yes I use the string and ruler, so I don't have to take it in for an alignment.

    Thanks for the great instructions. I have a 2003 Dodge DRW 4x4. The Drag link runs so close to the oil pan with the wheel cranked to the right. You said it had to be level with the tie-rod and straight forward Looks like yours is close also. I don't have any lift or leveling kit on it. I fear it will hit the oil pan if I get in the ruff while turning right when the suspension cycles. Thinking on angling it down just a bit to add some clearance at the oil pan. What do you think.

    • @isolateddieselperformance3261
      @isolateddieselperformance3261  Рік тому

      Honestly I don't know if the improvement of synergy is worth the price hike over mopar replacement if we are talking about steering improvement but that being said when comes to replacing tie rod ends synergy is way easier and a lot faster to replace. Both are heavy duty. Synergy tie rod ends will probably last a lot longer. If you don't mind spending the extra money go with synergy. Hope that helps

      EMF has been so backed up with orders they have at times suspended their production of their tie-rod ends. Once you get a set you'll never need another. I have 3.5 years of oilfield roads and the terrible canadian roads on them and they are like new. You'll have to contact EMF and they will know what the Synergy System requires. They don't have them listed on their website. I have purchased 2 sets. One for my pickup and another for my wife's welding truck
