    Congrats on finishing the wiring! You've inspired me to start working on my own project car, and figure out not only how but why things work the way they do, thanks man!

    Noiiiice. And couldn't agree more with the ending. Understanding how everything works together seems to be fading away. Clout or InstaFame is more important I guess than understanding what your doing, why you're doing it, the pros and cons to it, and most importantly, why it's important to buy quality parts.

      Heck yeah, man! It’s something that’s always on my mind. Too many people want that instant gratification and could care less about the process.

    This video was amazing. If you ever do a more in depth video on how to wire your own car that would be great. Like showing more specifics on how you did it, maybe a step by step on a few circuits. But thank you for this I aspire to do the exact same on my Eg hatch. Thank you.

      It’s for the VTEC oil pressure switch. You don’t actually need it to operate VTEC.

    Just found you channel been enjoying some of your older content. I have also just stated working assembling my eg coupe project. We just finished all the jams in paint. But it's a bear shell on dolly's. I have tons of parts I been collecting for years can't wait to get to putting it back together. Looking forward to learning a few things from your experiences to maybe use in my car.

      Rywire did a great job with simplifying the wiring. It can be a bit confusing at first because there really aren’t any “directions”, but a basic understanding of wiring schematics will go a long way! Appreciate the kind words man!

    Hey sir, I'm currently doing a custom switch pannel myself, with a custom fuse box, could you please tell me how you got the ecu to power on, without the oem fusebox, (like what pins you used to be able to turn the ecu on) it would help alot I've looked for weeks and no answer.

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  Рік тому

      I’m using the rywire switch panel which has all that wiring to the ECU to power it up. For ECU schematics, check out

    How did you wire up the fuel pump and light up to the 4 pin deutch connector

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  2 роки тому

      The switch panel has a 4 wire connector that’s pre-built into it. The mating connector is left un-built so that you can wire in whatever accessories you need.

    Hey Brother, been following your build, great work. Keep it going. I’m definitely looking at imitating your wiring setup.
    I do have one question: why run a 2nd circuit breaker going to the distributor? And what is the AMP on that unit?
    Thanks and best

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the support brother! The second circuit breaker is for the alternator, not the distributor. It’s an 80A breaker.

    Hey man. Excellent videos. I just attempted this exact same setup on my EJ1 (with much help from your video). I apparently have a wire crossed. Where does the alternator kill switch wire go out to? You have it starting at the "IN" post on the kill switch ... going to the FRONT circuit breaker (mounted on the passenger front interior near your junction post.... but then to what? Where does that wire go? I have something backwards. My battery is not charging... Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  2 роки тому

      From there the cable goes to the battery + on the alternator itself.

      @@bvspeed Do you "stack" the new connector (from the killswitch) on top of the white wire on the alternator bolt post? I was "replacing it" with the new wire from the switch...

      By the way...thank you for replying a year after your video posted! Didn't expect anything...haha

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  2 роки тому

      Well it depends on how close you mirrored my setup. Did you remove the fuse box entirely like I did? I assume you’re still running the stock fuse box in the engine bay if you still have the thick white wire at the alternator.
      I no longer have the stock fuse box and that’s why I have that circuit breaker between the kill switch and the alternator. That thick white wire is no longer there and is REPLACED by the new wire from the kill switch>circuit breaker>alternator. Hope that makes sense!

    What about the shock tower wire on both sides of the chassis does the harness use those ?

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  3 роки тому

      The setup from Rywire is designed to only run the engine. I believe everything on the shock towers is ran through the chassis connector on the engine harness.

    • @RealcolbyD
      @RealcolbyD 3 роки тому +1

      bvspeed what does the shock tower wires connect to ? What’s their purpose really

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  3 роки тому

      The passenger side is mostly engine harness. The driver side will consist of a mix of engine harness (common ground), power steering and other accessories. I believe parts of the starting/ignition circuits are also on the driver side.
