As a disabled person who actually lives close to Duke Hospital - I deeply appreciate the effort to bring music to kids and mentally disabled patients. Music has changed my life, and I love her efforts to change other's as well.
Great idea! (and can tune a regular 'ukulele to open G, too!) (note: the open G is (low to high string) = GBDG (not what the text here says). Good Job Deering!
Great video, but I did have a question. In the video Billie gave the tuning of GBDG, but in the show more text, it has DGBD. I am assuming the tuning is from 4th string to 1st string. Which is correct? Thanks!
Hello! For the Banjo Uke’s we use GBDG but if you’re using the traditional five string banjo you would use DGBD (with the tiny 5th string tuned to G). Both will work since they both form a G chord. The colored tape remains in the same place. Hank demonstrates this at the end with me when he is tuned in Open G banjo tuning and I’m tuned GBDG Open G uke tuning. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
She is a treasure! You can tell she does very well teaching music as a goal toward healing. Music is my antidepressant, too! Keep strummin!

2:44 You can also do Baa Baa Black Sheep & the ABC Song (Alphabet song) which are the same tune but different words.
I'm very impressed with your teaching method. Keep up the great work!

Where can I find the banjolele music book that Billie suggests at the end of this video? Thank you for your response.
How can I purchase a hard copy of the book?
