      Exactly!!

      Was pretty darn good but not exactly thorough, as she missed the part where max level is 450. Meaning if people aren't careful of which stats are getting bumped up, they will hit level cap super fast. For those that aren't aware if your tame hatches at 450+ it disappears and an empty egg hatches (or for mammals tame is birthed invisible and disappears/dies instantly).
      Manas and Velos are at the point right now where it's incredibly hard to find perfect stats because of messy lines. Meaning they have lots of levels or points/ mutations in oxygen/food causing them to start at level 400+. It also doesn't allow you to put any further levels into the tame at 450 so even if it's alive at 449 you don't get to add any levels to ur tame
      Obviously this just applies to official and some dedis (using official settings) but it's a crucial point not to miss as it affects breeding tremendously and is the reason we need to be careful which stats are getting muts and not just continuing the breeding process with stats we don't want

I appreciate that you also use platforms in your breeding. I have runways set up where either the base females sit at ground level with a male on an overhead walkway platform or the females sit on the overhead platform so one male can walk under them. Depending on if they lay eggs or not and how tall they are. It's nice to see someone else use platforms. I don't think I'm beyond 5 mutations in an Stat so far though but I'll get there. Write down the stats of your breeders. Then compare these stats to the baby stats to check what mutated.
      If you wanna use already leveled or imprinted dinos
      Then breed them and look at the base stats of the baby before you imprint them, but make sure they dont have mutations.

    Hi Tiia, Thank you for this video, you said some important things that I have not heard of on other videos. I'm just starting to play with this and have a question:
    I wanting to breed Therizino's and I'm starting with both male and female at 150. the stats are: 1st Male = Health =4524, Stam =720, Melee =371, The 1st Female = H=5046, S=990, M=315. I kept making babies until I got a mutation, it was twins which I didn't know happened. Mutation in the Health stat. 1st Twin Male = H=4872, S=720, M=371. The twin female was the same but I did not keep her. Later I got a 2nd set of twins (no mutation) but the female had all the good stats so I kept her, 2nd Twin Female = H=5046, S=990, M=371.
    I have been mating the 1st Male Twin with the 2nd Female twin, but I never see another male go past the 1st mutation. Is it good I mate them or should I keep using the original female 1st Female? Also I have been mating the original pair to see if I can get more females and another mutated Male. so far only 3 more females.
    Am I doing this correct?

    • @TiiaAurora
      @TiiaAurora  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Jeff, do I understand it right that, The first twin had a mutation on the low health stat of the mother and the second twin has no mutation but all the good stats?
      What I would do now if I was you is mating the first unmutated make that has the 5046 health with the twin female that also has the 5046 health. They should be both unmutated. Then keep mutations out of that. Because there is no point in using a lower stat when you have a higher already available. you just clutter your mutation counter.
      I am working on an in depth video for the mutation stacking at the moment due high request. It will also explain these cases in detail.

  • @aliasneo649

    Hey Tiia. Is it possible to start with all level 1 dinos and breed for separate stat lines. Would this result in a much cleaner line?
    Also with each mutation giving 2 points, how would you go about getting odd numbers this way?
    Thanks :)

    • @TiiaAurora
      @TiiaAurora  2 роки тому +2

      You could start with Level 1 but the only thing you'd do it taking longer.
      since 1 is odd you won't have issues. But you'll have ti stop at 253.

  • @AnimilesYT
    @AnimilesYT Рік тому

    Is there a reason to breed for mutations on a single stat and combine the maxed stats later? Wouldn't it make more sense to breed up one lineage so you can accept any mutation on any stat?
    edit: I think I've answered this question for myself already. So, when breeding there's a 50% chance for any stat to be inherited. If you're breeding to max out 6 stats then the chance of transferring all 6 mutated stats onto the baby is like flipping a coin 6 times and having it land on heads every single time. 50% is 1/2, and to get that 6 times in a row would be (1/2)^6 which is 1/64. To put this into a percentage it would be 1/64*100 = 1.56%.
    Getting one dino with all stats from the male would on average happen once every 64 eggs. Getting a mutation on any egg is also pretty small, so getting all stats from the father AND a mutation is tiny.
    And if you get it then it's probably on a female xD

    I am restarting my breeding lines after losing my single player on PS4 and this video is very helpful. I would appreciate a little clarification on the philosophy behind the 254/255 stats. Could it be said that most dinos will need 254 on melee, at the expense of all the other stats? I think this may be a min/max strategy and looking for some confirmation on this.
    Also, when I breed my Theris for the dragon boss on the Island, would it be more effective to go for 255 max on all stats, except melee (aim for 254)? What happens if the random mutation ends up on the female side, but on a male baby? I was breeding Rock Drakes, and got a male egg with the mutated stat I wanted. But, the mutated stat came from the female (even though the female has no mutations). Should I keep this baby or keep breeding until that stat comes from the male?

  • @iamme625
    @iamme625 4 роки тому

    I think I understand this correctly. Does the odd/even rule mean that you have to start with wild males that tamed out with an even number of points in your specific stat? And how long does it take to actually get a mutated male with the mutated stat you want to replace your current breeding males? I've been trying to get some rexes up for doing the bosses and I haven't replaced the males yet after about 6 batches of babies. Unfortunately no S+ mutator because the rexes are for bosses and I don't have the tekgram.

    • @TiiaAurora
      @TiiaAurora  4 роки тому

      How many females do you have? On average they say it's every 40th baby that gets a mutation (not the right mutation but a mutation at all). But I think those numbers are a little low. Even without mutator I often get 2-3 mutated babies in 20-30 babies being born. I would either higher the number you have or if you can use the hatchery, leave them on mating over night and mass hatch them afterwards.

I always use like x50 multiplier for breeding on the Female Dinos for Rexes etc. so it doesn't take to much time. Am i really forced to boost these stats? Because on normal settings it would take weeks/months to get good Dinos. And from my experience on the Bosses like the Broodmother, you really need Dinos with mutations on meele/health. So is there a way to beat the game on complete legit Settings? I dont get it and i'm desperate

  • @Caelum_NLD
    @Caelum_NLD 4 роки тому

    Multiple things that still don't clear up in my head after all the guides:1. Why exactly do you have to keep the females at 0/20 - 0/20? As long as they don't reach the 20/20, it should be fine, right? 2. Do the 0/20 on the maternal and on the paternal side add to the 20/20 number that stops them from mutating their stat on the baby? 3. So to get stacks above the 20/20 the clean female has to mutate the father's stat so the baby only carries the paternal mutations? Or doesn't it matter after a while if the alpha male breeder has both mutations from the paternal and maternal side, as long as the clean females stay clean?

    • @TiiaAurora
      @TiiaAurora  4 роки тому +1

      1. At least, in the beginning, you only want to have real mutations on your offspring. After the male has its first 20 mutations it doesn't matter too much anymore. But 20 on the male is the cap when the mutation chance halves with noncapped females. so if your female had 10 mutations and your male had 10, any offspring even without mutating would have 20 mutations, to begin with, because 10+10=20.
      2. Yes, it does. Both sides combined need to be below 20.
      3. Yes, the baby has to inherit the father's stat and the uncapped mother has to mutate it (the mother is basically just an additional chance on causing a mutation, nothing else). Females do not provide their own stats to the breeding. They are pretty much only the "vessels" for birthing the father's stats mutated, that's why I don't care too much about their stats, to begin with.
      If you female births a new Alpha Male with a mutated stat, it will be 1/20 on the babies mothers side, but as soon as that male is used for breeding, his mutations on both sides will be put together and shown on his babies fathers side.
      I explained that on my other channel a while ago. Let's say your grandmother - your father's mother has blond hair and so has your father. While blond hair for your father is on his mother's side, for you it would be on your father's side. So if you get blond hair, which has its origin in your grandmothers family, then it's still your dad's side but not your mothers.
      I hope that helps a bit.

      @@TiiaAurora it really did help, thanks :D prolly helps to see the last bit "in action", though that's mostly clear to me now. Also, with point 1, because the mutations can overlap but the babies will take over the mutation numbers from both the mother and father?

    • @TiiaAurora
      @TiiaAurora  4 роки тому +1

      Yea the babies mutation counter is always the mother's and father's mutation counter together. The counter doesn't really show how many mutations an animal has, only how high the counter of the parents was. Therefore you really don't want to push it higher artificially by mating mutated with mutated but try to only collect 'real' mutations.

      @TiiaAurora  4 роки тому +1

      Only the mutations go up in 2 level steps. The levels animals get into the different stats are completely random. Let's say you have 31 points in health. It's an odd number. A mutation will turn it into 33, which is still an odd number. Nothing at this point can change it into an even number. if you have a male with 30 points in health and 25 in stamina and a female with 25 points in health and 30 points in stamina, both would have the same total levels. but the babies could get 30 points in both OR 25 points in both, which makes 60 for the first and 50 for the second. So depending on how RNG rolls together your stats, they are either higher, the same or lower. that's also how you can get unmutated base animals with level 300 on a max tamed 224 server, because you just combine all the highest stats.

      On official it's not possible. In that case use tools like ARK Smart Breeding (linked in the description)

    I need help with mutation stats for health n melee

    My deinonychus mutations are being confusing. When i breed them, they will rarely have every stat of the dad. For example: My 3 hp one would have babies with 0, 1, 2, or 3 mutations active instead of just 3 making it hard to mutate

      Thats why you split them up to single males and not mutate all on one. Cause thats what happens then

    So if i have one rex with 50 points into melee and one rex with 30 points into melee and 10 mutations for a total of 50 as well, do they deal the same damage? if i level them, do they both get equal amounts of % damage increase when i manually distribute points?

      Hey Ceddy, no they don't because base levels and leveled levels are calculated differently. High-Level Rexes also get more % per leveled level than Low-Level Rexes. So let's say you have a Level 1 Rex. If you would give that Rex one Level-Up in Melee, the Melee would go up by 2%. If you have a Rex, that has 100 points in Melee and you give that one a Level up, it would gain 11.7% more. So either way, mutating will benefit you.
