@@globalmind43 I'm probably Chris Degarmo's biggest fan as he was one of my inspirations for picking up the guitar. That being said I f'ing hate "Here in the Now Frontier" I know Chris had a lot to do with that record but the thing is he had a lot to do with every record before that as well. As far as my take on Queensryche now is concerned it's the same as it was over 20 years ago. No Chris Degarmo. No Queensryche! Period. End of story.

Lots of times I felt like I was the only one who absolutely loved every song on this album, and still do! So many people I knew didn't like it, but I couldn't leave it alone. I had a killer system in my car also, and my brother and I would crank this album up all the time while cruising the back country roads.

It's a fantastic album. Different than Mindcrime & Empire or even Promised Land? Sure. But it's AMAZING and I love that it's stripped down and not so "80's" sounding. Another album from around the same time (couple years earlier) that falls into this category is Extreme's "Waiting for the Punchline". Amazing album that nobody gave a chance including alleged die hard fans.

I am listening this song now for the eighth time in a row(!) and every time I discover new, hidden gems in it. Never, since Peter Frampton and Richie Sambora, a voice box guitar sounded so good! Even with this ultra-cheap video, shot by a blind camera man and directed by a radio director, it is easily the best "new" song that I heard this whole year.

I think every release of QR until dedicated to chaos has great quality but the metal mass is always whining when something is not they way they want it. Thank god albums like that were released and this music found gateways to renew its self and survive. The few will understand. The rest mass will continue sleeping

I was just about to comment with the following, which suggests to me it IS live, no "syncing": "This is more evidence of what I felt/believed after seeing them in Cincy OH in June 2000 or so ... when they played the newer songs with guitars tuned for playing things from the Promised Land and before, the newer songs sounded better."
The guitars do not sound like they do on the Q2K. Hence, live.
