We loved taking the ferry in Istanbul. It was so cheap, convenient and relaxing to enjoy a glass of chai while admiring the beautiful scenery. We were thankful for choosing an apartment on the Asian side to get away from the chaos of the European side.
I am returning to Istanbul in November. This will be my 8th trip to Türkiye, my 7th time to İstanbul. İ will be staying in Kadiköy again. I love watching videos about visiting Istanbul, because believe it or not, there are places in this city that I haven't seen yet and things I still want to do. Definitely don't need any souvenirs but will be looking for Turkish oya scarves and of course have to buy baklava (hopefully I can find chocolate again). And I am one of those people that isn't bother by the crowds or the traffic. 😄 But if I need to escape all that noise, I just hop on the ferry to relax. From watching your video and other UA-cam videos, I know that the prices have either doubled or tripled since my last visit but luckily I have been to this city enough times, I know which areas to avoid from overpriced restaurants to shopping. Plus, I understand enough Turkish that I (hopefully) can avoid being scammed. Looking forward to not only returning to this city but seeing my Turkish "adopted" family and friends. Thanks for the video! It made me "homesick". Can you tell? I am definitely getting excited to return to Türkiye!
That's amazing Bonnie! So envious of you being able to visit so often. This is a wonderful, magical city so we totally get your desire to come back. We talk about our next visit every day, and we're still here! Question: Do you have any recommendations/tips for a Bosphorus cruise? We're thinking of hopping on one this weekend - nothing fancy, just some casual sightseeing - but would love a little guidance if you've had that experience. Let us know, and thanks for watching!
Well, I'd only be able to stay there one day! LOL This was another great video. I can see why you like it so much there, and why you want to go back again, it is very beautiful, and very busy.

Same! We just experienced the impact of a monster cruise ship. It was nice to ferry back to chill Kadikoy. Thanks for watching!

So true! Everywhere we go people are welcoming and friendly. Thanks for watching!

The city was built on seven hills.. just like Rome and San Francisco.
That's cool! Thanks for sharing!
Museum fees are 2X higher than what normally it has to be.
That's interesting. For tourists, or for everyone?
@@HeGoesSheGoesFor every one, Museum fees are higher for foreigners all over the world.
