My wife and I relocated to Morelia three years ago. She's a Mexican citizen from Morelia and I'm from Reno, Nevada. It's been an AWESOME experience. Weather always good, people are gracious and welcoming, and the food is amazing. We've never been victimized by ANY crime, or ripped off because I'm a "Gringo!" It's affordable, with great medical care, which I've used. We live very well on my Social Security. It's probably the best move I've ever made!
Thanks for sharing Russell! Our experience in Morelia was so good. We found the people there to be so generous and friendly. Great food. So much to see. We miss it! It's one of the places we really can't wait to get back to. Thanks for watching!
Thanks in advance for responding. Senior American Retiree looking for an inexpensive 1 bedroom apt rental. Morelia has a nice vibe in all the UA-cam videos so far. Please contact me if you're willing to tell me where I'd find a nice safe home. Mucho gracious. 🌷
Oh, I'm glad you like it here! My family and I have been living here for 12 years already, and my mom spent her teenage and early adult years in Morelia. We love it!
Love this video. Love Morelia! And thanks for giving Fika a shoutout! We got to know the owners of Fika, who are talented and sweet. They knew we wanted to go visit Patz and they offered to take us! We had a lovely time! Just one example of how amazing the people of Morelia are!
Thank you for making such an informative video! I've been living here for 12 years, and there were areas you showed that I've never visited. Sometimes locals don't explore their city enough. I'll definitely be checking out some of those restaurants you guys recommended!
Not me looking at the takes to see if I wasn't on the background 😂😂 I'm from Morelia and I tend to always wonder around at the main square, sometimes I forgot how many things there are here because it's the normality for me 🦋✨
Hi! That's super exciting. We had a great experience with Carlos as our guide through this website www.michmexguides.com.mx/ The website will help you connect with him directly through Whatsapp. Make sure you ask about when the sanctuary opens for the season, so you get your timing right. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your lovely video! I need an inexpensive 1 bedroom rent. SS didn't keep up with $ in US. I've been watching UA-cam's to see where I could live. Suggestions?
Glad you enjoyed the video Justine, and thanks for watching! The best advice we can give you, if you're looking for something more than Airbnb, is to dive into expat Facebook groups. They're often a rich source of information because their membership includes expats living in Mexico and wannabe expats who need info. We believe there is at least one for Morelia, probably more. Another idea is to use Airbnb for a short period of time and see if your host can help you make connections locally. We've found the Airbnb hosts in many places in Mexico to be extremely helpful. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Morelia is a very special place. We loved it there!
Morelia is a city not a town, but glad you liked it here
We loved it! And yes, for sure. In this case, town is being used in the conversational sense, not as a legal definition. Thanks for watching!
I love this video ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Amazing video! I’m going to Morelia this year and I will definitely go to some places you two have gone. Thanks again.

beautiful state, it was a kingdom. The name was Valladolid Nueva españa and here Born the Emperor of mexico Agustin de iturbide the proud of michoacan
Great vid guys. Any ideas of where to stay long term with booking or bnb that won't break bank?
Thanks for watching, and for the kind words! We had a very pleasant month-long stay here: www.airbnb.ca/rooms/49517072
"Mexican Town" please😝... With 1 million people, Morelia is bigger than Sn Francisco, Denver, Washington or Brooklyn.
Sometimes the World 'town' is used as a synonym for city... Depending on context. English is very flexible that way.
Next time catch a Atletico Morelia game ⚽️ Great video can’t wait to visit Michoacán
Awesome idea! Thanks!
Excelente Video
Thanks for watching!
