I'm enjoying Stitchy Talk on my day off. I also love your Wednesday videos....please don't feel stress about them. I learn so much, spend too much (ha!), and escape from the day. We don't expect perfection....this is real life. Thanks everyone at FQS!!
Love Stitchy Talk. Thank you! I enjoy call stitching and keeping it very simple. I know it’s nice to learn new skills and venture out a little. However I really appreciate Kimberly keeps it very simple.
I LOVE your videos!!! 💕 I love your cute personality Kimberly and love listening to Lily. Her voice/personality is adorable!! Plus, I learn so much!! And spend more money on your website!! 🤓 Thank you all...💖
It's SEW IMPORTANT to locate lost needles ASAP. I use my magnetic pin holder to help in that hunt and so far, so good. No sense in having a medical issue with a family member or pet that could have been avoided. 💕
I learned to cross stitch using ball needles. So I only use those. And Kimberly the advantage of using ball needles is that if you drop them on floor Kevin won’t get made because they don’t stick in to your foot.
Kimberly - I stitch almost exactly like you do. From in hand to loop method to the oddness looking of diagonal stitches if not done correctly! Love all your projects and stitching. Please keep sharing.
There is a product named “Restoration” used on Antique linens to remove yellowing and most stains. Also...I just saw a video on Country Stitches where I learned to pull DMC from the number end...I tried it and it pulls out without tangling!
Great show - love this format! We have an embroidery group that meets at the local quilt shop the first Tuesday of every month. We have not been meeting lately because of what’s going on - this is perfect!! I also have to say be careful with the needles because Piggy will pick them up. Would hate to see him get injured and that’s all I have to say about that 😊 Have a wonderful week! Happy stitching!!
The stitch key card is helpful in finding the next starting point. I've marked my card at graduated points - e.g. @ 7 stitches on the 14 count, and every 6 stitches on the 18 count. Helps me with accuracy faster.
When I first started working with silks I would wear smooth cotton gloves to prevent the snags on my dry skin. I learned not to care as much but still use lotion, it does make a difference
Always pick up your needles - my mom is a quilter and dropped a needle some time later she noticed her dog was having trouble walking. She took her to the vet & he took an x-ray and came and asked mom if she sewed. She replied yes and he asked her to come take a look. Her dog had a sewing needle in her spine and they had to surgically remove. I’m guessing she was itching her bake on the carpet and the text is history. Freak thing but it can happen. 🪡
What are you doing with the rest of the strand when you are done with each small section. I don't see you putting it back on the floss bitty. Do you only use a full strand?

I keep a nail stone in my stitch kit to file any rough spots on my hands. Silk snagging is a problem for yarn too. Thanks for the pattern 💜
Great video, thank you.

Kimberly, I just ordered that same lotion from Amazon! :)

My husband loves Naked Bee lotion and I get it my local Hallmark store. You might want to try that.
It is pulling on bias.. gently pull top and bottom corners each side, smooth. Same for fabric.

👋. From Michigan suppose to be a nice sunny day. 😷
I think I saw that lotion at one of the cheese dairy's in Midland Utah.
I have discoloured Aida cloth. It’s old. Can I wash it before I stitch on it?
George was on ER with the girl from The Good Wife, and he was in RoseAnn
After you untie the knot, you can just cut through all the strands and loop them on your thread keep. No need to unwrap the whole skein.
Where do you get your magnifying eyeglasses? Also why shouldn’t you use the loop method for silk threads?
Watch Jean Farish’s UA-cam videos. She does a great job of explaining and demonstrating how to stitch.
❤❤❤

Interested in a label maker. What brand do you have?
Just FYI. Often times Kimberly’s stitching was under your logo “Stitchy Talk”. 🙃
Such a sweet pattern. May I ask what color nail polish Kimberly is wearing today?🥰
