ok for anyone who is stuck on the handle extruding part. In the somewhat left corner of the screen it shows X Y Z make sure the selected axis is the correct axis your rotating around.
In 3:55 you might as well press Ctrl to snap rotate 5 degrees and get an even mor accurate orientation. Again great tut, I´m learning and enjoying this alot!
I'm dead at circular spinning tool for the handle, idk what to do, I can't create the circular shape, i cant drag after you position it with right click and shift

i am having same issue while following this tutorial when i press H to hide geometry it disappears completely i coud'nt adjust the handle according to cup my blender version is 2.90.1 & your version is 2.80 somthing in this video, what to do ?
When I press H to hide the geometry it desappears completely, I dont get a wireframe version like you in 5:46, may be my graphic card? I have x-ray mode on and Solid viewport shading. I was able to follow the tutorial nonetheless, but it would be helpfull to have the reference of the cup to shape the handle. Any thoughts?
Make sure you are in edit mode and select only that part of the mesh you want to hide. Regardless of which viewport shading you are in, it should work. And if its a bug, try installing latest version always : ). Hope this helps.
I found this tutorial because its my first time using blender. You keep saying "do this" and not how you're doing it. I can't figure it out so i'm going to find a different tutorial.

Having trouble to extrude the handle. As soon as I want to extrude at 4.53 I can't get it to rotate in the z direction..
Found it :-) Just in the top of the screen you can select along which axes you want to spin.

Hi there, make sure to Select only those parts that needs to be hidden.
i cant see the "apply" button
4:24 i have blender 2.92.0, and I dont have te apply buttom in my solidify window :(
Select the little triangle icon on the top right corner of modifier. You will find it there.
