Saved me a service call on my LDCO850. After a power failure, the traveler would only move from it's normal "up" position, about two feet or so, until it hit the sprocket above the motor, and when I'd tried to close the door, the traveler would only move a couple feet, back to it's former "up" position, and stop. I didn't have to do a reset. I was able to fix it by just resetting the "up" and "down" limits, per these instructions.
I'm moving into to a house and the previous owners can't remember the code for the keypad. All videos I see about re-setting it show a start/stop button, mine doesn't have one. How do I re-set the keypad without it?
Really am regretting buying a Linear opener from Kettering Overhead Door in the Dayton OH area. Can not connect it ti Wi-Fi for iPhone remote operation or my new Ford F-150 built in opener. The local company sold me on the up charge model with the promise it would all work as advertised but so far, I’m disappointed. Now, returning from vacation when home power went out, the opener does not work and a back-logged service agent can’t get here for days. Tough circumstances? Sure. Did my old opener (very common rival brand) fight me like this? Never.
And once a "field reset" is performed, and (according to the printed instructions) "...both the open and close limits must be adjusted... BEFORE THE OPENER WILL FUNCTION", how does one get past step #1 of "Adjusting the Open and Close Limits"? i.e. "1. Use the wall station or a remote control to move the door to the open position." In effect: 1. To make the opener operate, do step #2. 2. Operate the opener.
Literally just saved me some $......All I needed was the first step and I knew the rest. Took me 3 minutes........Thank you for this vid....
