I have a linear garage door and often it beeps like there is an obstacle in the way, but there isn’t. The sensor lights do not even indicate that there is an obstruction. The garage door will not go down when it does this, and I have no clue what the issue is. Any tips?
My LD050 is around 7 years old, the up and down limiter seems to have just failed. It will drive into the floor and reverse, then drive the tensioner into the chain sprocket if I don't stop it.
The limits have popped off of the idler If you feel comfortable, unplug the motor, pull the four screws on the motor cover and make sure your limits are fully seated and wires are not cut If that looks good and appears to be without issue then you have a bad logic board.
There could be a few things going on first thing comes to mind is that you have a broken spring and the motor cannot lift it. The second thing it could be is the RPM sensor is going out on the motor or logic board but most likely you either have a broken screen or you need to tune your spring up i.e. More Spring aid off the ground to help the motor
@@derikmorse2018 Having this exact issue. The garage door button in the Car and in the MyQ app will close the garage just fine... but when I try to open it, it only opens about a few inches and stops. Using the outdoor keypad that's nailed to the garage, that opens the garage door just fine.
Leroy all that happens is if you make the door go up too high it will cause excessive slack in the cables which can eventually cause them to slip and come off the drums.
Oh man. Just decided I need a pro! Thanks for the info!
OUTSTANDING VIDEO - SO MANY THANKS !!
Perfect! This solved our problem of my door hitting the ground and then going back up. I adjusted the set limit and it worked fine thank you.

I have this model. I have to continuously hold the button on the wall all the way through the open cycle. What adjustment do I need to make?

Any reason why the garage only opens about 2 inches with car remote

I thought you would show us what happens when you 'overdrive your door' and 'slack your cables'?
What happened?
