If you're doing that kind of work for the public it would not hurt for you to make a skid plate for your tractor I made one for mine out of plywood and it works great 👍
Nice job. I've never noticed the wheel pivoting up out of the way on your rotary cutter before. I can see that being really handy. The new 35hp tractor I've added I ended up getting a Catawba 55" grapple for, and I'm already seeing it clamps down tight enough to pull 1-4" trees out by the roots. I want to see if I can grab a T post and get it up too. On the one big paying job I've done with it so far it took a week long property clearing job with hundreds of small trees and 2 dozen bigger ones down to 17 total hours. That grapple is a game changer on the right kinds of jobs. Something you can have on the front to grab stuff and speed up the cutting and grinding when you aren't sure if you need it too. I would have jumped all over that job. That's a good one! That 13" tree is why I added a 7x14 dump trailer a couple years ago too. I charge a flat fee to haul a load off. It was an expensive trailer, but it'll eventually pay for itself in 4-5 years of those jobs, and I like the idea of a back up trailer if I have an issue with one of my normal haulers. Thanks!
I desperately need a grapple! A few wraps of a chain works great, but it’s the slowest way possible. Happy you have the new tractor already doing work! Keep me updated on the grapple. I’ll have to buy one at some point. Cheers 🍻
@ Yep, I’ve pulled everything til now with chains and bucket hooks on the 1025r. Having a machine at 5500 lbs without an implement and 2200 lbs of bucket lift capacity and a grapple with really good grip, it’s a whole new world. When you decide to pull the trigger check out the Catawba 55”. Really well made, and serrations everywhere. Has a serrated cutting edge welded between the tines top and bottom too which is why it can grab smaller trees so well. Also has mechanical stops on the open so you curl down while full open and that serrated cutting edge is a really good, articulating rake and once you build a pile up you curl back up as you close. I’m repeating myself I know, just still blown away with how effective it is. It’ll be fun watching you get to know one of you add it. I love seeing how people use theirs.
About 800 now. Few of them were from this year unfortunately. Wet and rainy spring through summer. Then ended in a drought. Only was able to get a handful of lawn renovations done, as the soil conditions needed to be optimum. I was able to video a couple, just need to edit them. Hope you can watch them. They were definitely oddball projects! Should air in a few weeks! Cheers from the Bulldog 🍻

Cool idea. I’ll try to give that a try over this winter when I have time. Appreciate it 🍻
