Chris Reed, I urge you to consider finding a new career and stepping down from your public ministry. I say this out of love, with a fear of the Lord for you, and with deep concern for the people following you, many of whom are being deceived.
In my gut I knew Chris was doing this. The Holy Spirit lives in my gut. No one would listen. In my gut Suzi and Jon are whipping up slander. No one is listening. Okay.
For 38 years I have been a school Custodian and cleaned toilets and classrooms. This has not stopped me from being able to minister the gospel everyday and everywhere I go. I love the fact that I never have to ask for support and pay for all my mission work with money from my job. It feels squeaky clean like my cleaned toilets. I do agree with fully supported missions but boy oh boy there should be serous accountability. Thank you for not shying away from the balls and strikes.
I know what you mean about clean toilets 😂I was a care manager for 20years I hit 60 and started questioning medication and did I order the right amount!,I left and started cleaning I love it and sing as I clean how Great thy are ect 😊
Thank you for sharing! I was one of the people listed on the original Roys Report who confronted Mike. Refreshing to see this darkness and spiritual manipulation being brought to the light. Appreciate your voices in this
Hi @KatherineMarialke - thanks for speaking out. That would be a huge deal. I cannot express my gratitude for your voice. However, Remnant Radio are also abusers of God's flock and not afraid to platform predators and abusers. While hirelings run from the wolves, harlots platform the wolves at the expense of the sheep and get "drunk on the blood of the saints" gaining the whole world and losing their souls. Remnant Radio are not just the harlot, the play the harlot. I've watched them naturally do this since they started. It has been shameful watching them abuse their authority at the expense of the sheep. They continually platform predators and ignore Christians warning them about platforming abusers. So they publicly display rebellion. They ignore the bible and Christian voices to further their own slick image.
Does t surprise me. He gaslighted me when I asked him about his son in law-Ryan Bruss’s claims of visiting Heaven and Hell. Brown knowingly defends liars and wolves.
Very sad about Dr brown but not too surprising when you consider the cover up of his son in laws adultery and quick return to ministry and his response to Mike Bickle situation
This is such a needed conversation! Thank you all for weighing in on these allegations. We need more men of God that can discern these matters justly and who can speak with wisdom to help the body of Christ grow in a healthy and strong way. Well Done!
Amen to the balance Rountree and Josh are addressing. A woman sleeping with her pastor is sin and she may have been taken advantage of but she is still not completely innocent. That has been my only contention throughout all of the exposing. Not everyone is willing to say this.
I know of an individual who was told by his pastor that he had to perform a s*x act on him in order to advance spiritually. This person has been under the guidance of this pastor since he was a child. So believe it or not, not everyone understands what sin is.
Yes I agree, I was a bit disappointed by Michael Miller downplaying the woman's role in this inappropriate relationship. She was an adult and still has to follow the word of God. The disciples wouldn't have been excused if they had listened to the religious leaders when they told them to stop preaching about Jesus. The religious leaders had authority over them but Peter's answer was perfect. Who do we listen to, God or man? If God says to be pure and abstain from sexual immorality, then the woman in this case either needed to leave the church or stop hanging around Michael Brown. That doesn't mean he didn't take advantage of her (if the allegations are true) but both are culpable.
I think in most situations the woman is culpable as well. Not to the same level the pastor is - and I want to make that clear. However, in some extremely fundamentalist environments, extreme submission on the part of women is a cultural factor to be taken into account. A woman raised with no sense of agency, an unhealthy fear and reverence of authority, and an extreme distrust of herself as easily deceived could be confused enough to distort reality, and wouldn't be culpable. I have seen this a lot - there is an extreme fundamentalist church in our town where this situation pops up frequently. I think often we want things to be black and white (its either sin or its not), but our fallen world requires wisdom and discernment to really address these situations honestly. It's very difficult.
Thank you Michael R. for saying we need some reform in the church to protect the sheep. Unless policies and guardrails are put in place, it won’t happen. Members need to speak up and insist on change if their church doesn’t have biblical procedures.
I think some procedural changes would help but I think ultimately it's going to take pastors and ministers calling out wolves by name. That will strike the fear of God into false prophets. They've all been operating with immunity because they've been allowed to be "restored" and have their "David moments" instead of being made examples of publicly.
I have been barred from attending a NAR church because I raised some concerns about some disturbing issues. One of those issues concerned how the eldership dealt with a lifegroup leader and his wife because they expressed concern over what was happening in the church. The decision was made without him being present. He was told never to return to the church. He wasn't even allowed to say good-bye. This was done over the phone when he was at work. There was no provision to challenge the decision. The senior's pastor was law. If I repent I can return. As I didn't do anything to repent of that is not going to happen. I don't even want to.
Regarding a woman sleeping with her pastor: I think it’s a case-by-case situation as to how culpable she might be. There’s going to be some women who chase a man because he’s a minor celebrity, which would make her just as culpable. What happened with Brown (according to both the victim and other witnesses) was NOT an affair of any sort, it was workplace sexual harassment and grooming. As Miller said, the power dynamics make it more difficult for the woman to say no, not only because that man is an authority figure, but also because he’s controlling her income and future work opportunities. If he gets enraged because she tells him to back off, she loses her job, her community, her ability to get another job somewhere else, and possibly her reputation. It’s livelihood assassination that she’s facing. Under those circumstances, any “consent” has been given under duress.
I agree 100% some women love power and will intentionally seek pastors and leaders to sleep with because of their love of power. It’s certainly case by case
When Chris Reed came out with his 2024 prophecies I went online and scoured the internet to see if any of it had already been there in the news or other sources. I found about 50% of it had been reported on prior to his "prophesying" about it.
So thankful you’re addressing these things with Biblical standards and a right spirit. It would be tremendously helpful if you would do a program addressing what Biblically qualifies as gossip, unrighteous forms of judging, and dishonoring authority vs. when we’re called to speak about these kinds of things to expose darkness, make righteous judgments, rebuke publicly in the sight of all, hold people/leaders accountable and even mark and avoid - and the right spirit to approach these matters. While we definitely need a proper fear of the Lord about not participating in or promoting any corrupt communication, it seems much of the church may be failing to follow godly guidelines in these areas of holding people/leaders accountable bc there has been imbalanced teaching that keeps people silent (as you’ve mentioned - touch not the Lord’s anointed, etc). Many people are erring on both ends of the spectrum (whether saying wrong things or right things in wrong ways AND on the opposite end staying silent and covering things) and we need godly balanced Biblical teaching to understand what’s appropriate and acceptable Scripturally for the church to avoid both sins of commission and omission in these areas.
This is never easy to do as you have said - but at the same time it is needed more than ever! I commend you all for your humble approach and sound expression of addressing these difficult topics - sin in the church leadership. Please know you guys have helped me immensely (confirm) as you take on these topics and issues and leaders of the church. I pray God continues to use you according to His will, that he protect you all and that He give you wisdom, understanding and clear discernment in your individual and collective ministries. This was a well balanced approach you did today and commend you once again for your difficult work. Be strong in the Lord brothers and keep letting God guide your paths in all boldness and strength. God bless🙏
I’d have to say I wasn’t shocked to hear about preachers I look up to such as Dr Brown but I was disappointed since I did follow him on YT and have several of his books. I’ve been a Christian long enough to where it doesn’t shock me anymore. No body is so spiritually strong they cannot fall so let’s keep our eyes on Jesus who keeps our faith strong.
The “national stage” destroys people. It’s not that no sin exists on the local level, but that an overwhelming desire for an audience that spans the country ruins almost everyone who reaches for it. Maybe it’s impossible to stay humble when everyone knows your name and wants your ear, but then humility may be the single most lacking virtue in our country, whether it’s lacking in unbelievers or believers.
What Jimmy Evans declared to Suzy Lamb was unconscionable and abusive. To tell her to violate her conscience is revealing of problems in his character. The fact he deemed Doug was biblical in divorcing his wife and free to marry Joni shows another big problem. He never met with Lisa Weiss. He obviously wanted to please Joni more than do due diligence in investigating Doug Weiss and the marriage. Apparently there have been problems with Doug throughout all his years of training and ministry. Then to hear Doug “go off” on Jonathan was revealing of character problems. What a mess. All that to say, Jimmy, in my opinion, should repent and step out long enough to get a big reset in doctrine and practice by other ministers who have their heads on straight.
First, let me say a big THANK YOU to each of you for bringing light to a much needed address. This is the first time I have discovered your podcast by suggestion from a friend due to the topic, specifically C.R. I have been following MSM for decades and was attending regularly with my family when this all happened. Like many others, we stopped going to MSM as a result of the whole ordeal. I just wanted to add specific attention to ya'lls conversation. In the midst of these scandles, people often forget the effect they have on the congregation. So many are left in the aftermath hurting, devastated and greived by all of it. To a degree, we also feel victimized. Like those directly involved, we have also trusted our elders and leaders to make wise biblical decisions on our behalf, to discern issues and situations thereby protecting our best interests. Just a few weeks following this travesty is when the final straw was broken for me where in the congregation was informed by the CEO that if we wanted to leave because of everything then to just do it because we are "just taking someone elses seat" if that was the case. I have been so effected by what happened and how it was all handled that I have yet to attend another church. Personally, I felt like I have gone through a divorce. Lastly, I am dumbfounded as to how everyone involved could just start over so quickly or continue ministering like there wasn't a complete disaster left behind. Clearly, I have alot of healing to succumb. But this is my point, I am not alone. By the grace of God in time, He will bring healing to all those effected. Thank ya'll again for doing what you're doing here and remember this, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken..Ecc 4:12 " I encourage you three to remain steadfast one to another. 🕊
Praying for you and those affected that God heals your hearts. This is happening way too often. I'll drop this episode here, which you may find helpful: What to Do With Scandal Fatigue - the show addresses the betrayal that church members and the Christian community at large feel after these scandals ua-cam.com/video/__gCg_rjAE8/v-deo.html Blessings to you-
Lying about the prophetic is so egregious that "restoration" needs to be repentance followed by learning a non ministerial trade, like accounting or auto repair or house painting. Why don't any of the celebrities offering to restore fallen pastors brag about their retraining programs to help these people find non ministerial jobs? Likewise the sexual abusers.
It is time for every ministry to throw away their good ol boys club membership and begin publicly exposing wolves by name. Stop worrying about burning bridges with ministry connections. True shepherds rise up. Fighting wolves isn't casual.
Seems this is the way it has always been. Ezekiel 20 is a good case study. But Ezekiel, in general, shows the heart of men when the Holy Spirit is giving a tour of the temple and the priest.
I love that these guys don’t always blindly agree with one another and sometimes they push back on each other’s points. It makes me, as a listener, feel intellectually respected. Keep up the good work guys. Long time listener now.
The difference between Michael Brown and Mike Bickle’s situations really comes down to one difference. Both of the alleged victims of Brown stopped it before it progressed further. Brown had been grooming both of them using spiritual language just like Bickle and then began initiating romantic relationships with them. With “Erin” he never acknowledged it was romantic and tried to frame it as he was her spiritual dad (Gross) and then used that spiritual abuse to then begin sexually grooming her with physical touch and pushed the boundaries farther and farther. With the woman he was having phone s*x with, he allegedly was trying to meet up with her and convince her to stop sleeping with her Husband. Thankfully “the fog of grooming” lifted for both women before it progressed, and they ended it. Not Dr Brown. That’s the difference. Also, I’m not in any way blaming Bickle’s victims for not “stopping it” sooner, when you look at the age/power dynamics/prophetic manipulation there, Mike is fully at blame. I was only pointing out we might be having the same conversation about Brown if his grooming didn’t get stopped, and he got what he seemingly wanted. I hope he fully repents and stops talking his way around it.
Appreciated Josh Lewis' balance at roughly the 50:00 mark even though Miller and Rountree struggled in processing it. I am personally acquainted with such a situation: a person was sexually assaulted as a child by a family friend, but the perpetrator managed to conceal it. Decades later the victim revealed it to family and friends, and all of them (from what I was able to investigate) were apologetic and supportive. Problem was, at this point it had provoked a spiraling mental health crisis and Lewis' words were exactly fulfilled: the victim started turning on some family and church elders as surrogates for the unavailable perpetrator. The person refused counsel that their past was possibly being imported into the present and cut off dozens of relationships in response. "Hurt people hurt other people" is a real phenomenon and it has to be left on the table when processing a difficult situation. Sin is just messy that way.
You guys might not like these episodes, and I understand that, but me and I am sure many others are so moved by your courage and integrity to speak and instruct us on these matters. Like many others, I have been a victim of some of these types of abusers. My situations may never get fixed or resolved but to be validated in any way, even from a distance by your speaking up and defining these abuses is so healing!! You show great strength on these issues and the full council of God. My gratitude to God and you can’t be measured! You are a voice for many of us who have been silenced or maligned!!! THANK YOU!! God bless and protect you!!!
Michael Brown should have been marked and avoided by anyone with Spirit-led discernment long before these allegations. Many of those he has defended and endorsed also are to be rebuked and disqualified from ministry as they are false teachers/apostles/charlatans using a counterfeit of the Gospel to empower themselves...
You’re an example of exactly what I was talking about the Internet being so full of false information. I don’t condone any of the inappropriate behavior that allegations are brought forth for any Christian leader. However you like others have marked Michael Brown as a heretic based on what you see and heard on the Internet through edited tapes
@@davidwireback8621 Uh... Dr Brown Has Been Defending Wolves And Heretics For Decades And Abusers And Even Tried To Silence And Shame Victims In The Past.... Even If It Comes From The Internet The Internet Provides Video Proof Of Him Doing These Things
Greetings from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Brothers, thank you for this episode. It is really important for the body. Continue to exalt Christ and boldly proclaim the gospel. Expose false doctrine and those who would bring the name of Christ and His church into disrepute. All these people mentioned today should leave "ministry" and sit under a pastor and church that are faithful to the gospel and uphold the biblical qualifications of eldership. I don't always agree with everything but keep up your important good work. God bless, Andrew
Fear of the LORD? Troy, you regularly claim to hear from God. Most notably, you claimed God gave you a positive revelation of Katherine Krick, who clearly is a false teacher. Repent. Humble yourself and admit God doesn't speak to you prophetically, let alone regularly, and then you will understand the fear of the LORD.
Troy, fear of the Lord? You literally say God speaks to you regularly, notably that God affirmed Katherine Krick to you . Repent because you know that's not true.
@ I cannot repent of doing what God is literally asking me to do. And you are misquoting me about Kathryn Krick. I’ve posted two videos about her. The second one called out five incorrect teachings or practices she is currently engaged in.
@TroyBlack God would never confirm someone like Kathryn Krick to you, only to later ask you to take it back and issue correction. She has from the start up to this day thrived on fals e teaching, scripture twisting, fake deliverances, all while calling her self an (A)postle. You said "She's doing an amazing job building God's Kingdom" and that God would bring revival to the Netherlands with her. Yet, she never preaches the Gospel and blasphemes the name of God everytime she steps up behind a pulpit. Your video is now 3 yrs ago and she has only gotten worse. So what makes you think it was "what God was literally asking you to do?"
I have not found a church in my 14 years as a believer where Matthew 18 is followed. Churches are run like businesses and not a church. I have found conflict in churches hard to navigate because Matthew 18 is often missing. So needed. 30:43 🙏🕊🕊 Meaning, the example of Platt is fairly normal. I think this exposure is much bigger than Platt. God is calling the church as a whole to repent from this type of practice. All exposures we've seen in recent years, operate like this as well. 35:53 Again, with Brown. The gaslighting. This is a cultural issue in the church. The Structure is broken. Once more, we see Matthew 18 not being carried out. It's the same pattern, over and over.
Thus, not practicing church discipline is why we’re having all the scandles & exposés. No fear of the Lord anymore & no fear of public rebuke. That alone would cause people to think twice about abusing the sheep. That will require all of us to get more comfortable with confessing our sins to one another, being more transparent & sharing stories of redemption.
Most people who seem “bitter” are in pain and having negative emotions because they have been hurt. It’s part of being human. I kind of feel like the term “bitter” isn’t really helpful in the church right now. Not in the way it’s normally used.
@@theouterplanetJust be careful, God is not a sucker. A murderer can say that he is sorry. However, if he continues murdering then one can conclude that the murderer is not. The change of mind is so profound that it produces a changed life. 1 cor 6:9 is a reminder that God is not playing games. The transgressions mentioned in that passage send people to hell. People sin left and right, they plan on what they are going to do over the weekends for example. Then they go to church and give a false repentance. Why? The following week they go right back to their own vomit. God is not a fool, he see’s your heart. When you repent you better be for real because you are completely exposed. One will stumble as they are not perfect but there are those who enjoy their deliberate rebellion. They pervert and abuse the grace of God. Just know that you will get judged my friend, it will just be you and him 1 on 1 and every secret will be exposed. Repentance is not easy (it is a gift) that is a lie from the devil. God see’s your heart and nothing is hidden so again, you better be for real. The bride was purchased with his own blood so it’s very personal for him. Watch yourself and your doctrine (1 Timothy 4:16) If one can live in sin and not feel an ounce of guilt or conviction, that person is not under grace. God has simply given them over to what they desire (Romans 1). I do ‘t advocate for sinless perfection but there is a difference of note when a person is truly saved. Ezekiel 36: 25-32 describes what it looks like. It is a supernatural act and it is dramatic.
I’ve been wondering why Jeremiah Johnson has recently changed his tune. He gave a word a year or two ago regarding exposure in the church and that it would be the Lord. Now all of the sudden he’s been so anti-exposure and talking about abuse. It was very confusing.
Yeah true. He started talking a lot about Leviathan and offense. I went to the church he planted for a few months and had a good experience there overall. It seems like he is trying to establish biblical leadership with elders as taught in NT and stuff…🤷🏼♂️
well people in his church have been coming forward about his heavy handed leadership. His brother Josiah just brought a deffimation lawsuit against Jeremiah and his ministry. lots of ugly stuff there.
Where were they coming forward? What exactly do you mean by heavy-handed? I did hear about the stuff with Josiah. Have you seen the document/article by Paul Johnson about their relationship with Josiah?
You are teaching and applying the whole counsel of God. Although not pleasant, it is honorable and very helpful to me. I have found similarly--- present in Ken Fish's preaching and teaching-- a balance of preaching about and confronting sin and also presenting the goodness and power of God to restore and heal those contrite of heart. ( And by restore, I am not referring to restoration to ministry but to God and others and ones self being healed of underlying issues.) So, thank you for presenting "the good, the bad, and the ugly" whole counsel of God, which does follow scripture because God did not cover up sin among His people and addressed this in a forthright manner as you taught/ presented today.
If a church organization is a 501 c3, their finances are regulated by the IRS. Irregular bookkeeping, double books, spending designated donated monies on non designated expenditures is a crime exposing the board and the people involved open to litigation by the membership and prosecution and fines by the government.
There's a caveat here. ALL churches are considered 503(c)(b)s by the IRS by default. However, in order to fall under the legalities you mentioned a church needs to actually register with the IRS...yearly. If they don't, then they are 503(c)(b) by categorization only...and are not bound by the statutes.
I remember a couple weeks back or so after this came out Michael Brown after coming back from a trip in Europe. Said that he apologizes to this woman and asked for forgiveness. Saying that he didn’t realize she was carrying this burden all this time. Is that not an apology.
Yes, Mike made that apology video. The Remnant Radio knows all about it. Since the apology video, more info has come out about these allegations. It turns out that there also was stuff before the apology video that the apology video didn't address. All this stuff, the stuff before and after the apology video, seems to really really show that the apology video was downplaying and lying about everything that went on. The Remnant Radio is going off the info that came out after the apology video, and the stuff before it that wasn't well known yet. Ok, hope that helps :)
@ yes I’ve seen most of that piece by remnant radio. It’s disappointing that Michael Brown is not being completely forthcoming about all of this. I have not heard any public statement since then. I can only pray that he will come to a place a complete repentance asking forgiveness. And the victims would also forgive so that they can move on with their lives.
You know….I’ve left charismatic theology and will not be returning ….you’d think with all those claiming prophetic gifting they’d have seen this stuff coming. No more platforming these wolves.
Brilliant post. These charlatans are so obvious, but if you say it up front, you are "hateful". The scandal comes out and everyone wrings their hands and says "how could we have seen this coming?". At some point there is responsibility to realize that the whole system is rotten to the core.
After watching the video, I call on all of us to pray thus: 1) God safeguard our spiritual leaders from sin 2) God give us boldness to confront our leaders when they sin. 3) God comfort victims and delivers justice for them 4) (This may be difficult for many but God calls us to pray for those who are in sin) Pray for the perpetrators, that they may repent. 5) Pray for people in faith crises because of the fall of these leaders.
On Platt, one might also see early signs in his book, “Radical,” where he demonstrates a heavy-handed “I am the Holy Spirit in your life and here is a very narrow blueprint everyone must follow” (though he doesn’t follow it himself).
love your podcasts! been listening for over a year. it seems that Joshua's mic is always a little louder? can be a bit annoying adjusting the volume during the podcast x)
I have been following that one. Reed said the timeframe for this to begin would be at the time of Jimmy Carter's death. And the way I heard it was that they would be removed from their positions, not necessarily by death. So obviously Biden will be out soon and we'll see about Putin.
At the end of 2022, Reed gave 40 prophesies that he said would come true that year. Only 3 came fully true, and 8 had partial fulfillments. 27 were false and did not come to pass and 2 were not even prophetic (gas prices will rise and then fall again, and other one I can't remember). Now that he has admitted to data mining to pad his "words"...
We removed the interview after we heard crdible aligations against him. You are correct he claimed an Angel had visited him and spoken to him. and in that interview I pressed him, "if this does not come to pass will you repent of this". He said that he would. But its pretty concerning, he was either lying, or it was a demon that appeared to him.
Thank you for the balance and tone you handle this with. I was part of 4 days of meetings out at IHOP in 2021. I was with Bickel, Greaves, Slyker, Misty, Chris Reed, among others. There were only 30 of us or so, I wore a name tag, and Chris left the room briefly before “giving me a word of knowledge” that was surprising and specific. After Bickel fell, I met with Chris to let him know I doubted he was honest with me. He swore he was. So I’ve released him to the Lord. But then his Morningstar scandal came out and my fears were made more certain. His wife and kids are wonderful, but I wonder what is really going on in that family. Missy is genuinely a lovely woman and mother, but it must be very dark.
I'm not a Brown fan, but calling balls and strikes here....right before he said that he would let the investigation flesh out the details, he mentioned that the reason it has remained quiet was because of deference to his wife, and that was what was agreed upon by the two married couples. I think this still applies. Given the delicate nature, he may not want to publicly embarrass and hurt his wife again with a play by play of what happened, not can he assume what details the victim wants to be made public. Furthermore, we don't REALLY know the motives of the victim...why now, 23 years later? She wasn't a child. She was a fully mature, married woman. Is there an unspecified ax to grind? Is there a financial motive? We don't know. I do not think its appropriate at this time for Brown to FORWARD his recollection of specific events. I think it is better that formal complaints be made, and he respond to those point by point. I used to be a big defender of Brown even though I am not a charismatic. I no longer trust him after I saw the dishonest way he DOES IN FACT gaslight people. When he defends nutjobs like Sid Roth (nothing to see there), and just recently, denied the VIDEO EVIDENCE of Todd White FAKING HEALINGS, I realized this is a slippery guy. He is adept at using language to yes, gaslight people, and deny obvious realities. He may be doing that again now, I don't know.
Wow. Historically I've been a bit critical of y'all (especially the jesting banter...which y'all have toned down A LOT and I appreciate that). But I REALLY REALLY appreciate how you've handled this one. Especially with Chris Reed 😭 whom I had been following for about 4 years. Ugh, so so sad and disappointed how he has mined information on people. The lack of transparency and lack of full repentance breeds further mistrust. All of it is heart breaking. 💔
I gotta be honest, I like the banter and jesting 😅 But yes, I'm so glad for Christians who are down to earth normal folk and can be serious and get down to business.
I am very thankful that you guys and others are talking about these issues and naming the specific ministers. The honor culture in the charismatic church has perpetuated sinful, unrepentant leaders which leads to much harm within the church and I believe that the only way to stop it is to do exactly what you are doing. Talk about it so that others may learn and become emboldened to take action when needed.
When we walk in the Light as he is in the Light then we will have true Unity and the Blood of Jesus will cleanse The Church! Dear Lord Shine your Light!
Good work guys. I must say, thank you for spending so much time clarifying that Rountree wasn’t propping up the proletariat and neo Marxist idealogies and power structures. I really was concerned there for a second and am breathing a sign of relief. We need to make sure we are only defending the worthy proletariat. Carry on comrades.
Thank you Remnant. They all need to go.. all of them. What I don't understand is the very limited effort of restoration for those doing evil to the victims.. spiritual- mental- physical and even financial... where is your true sorrow?
Dr. Michael Brown repented about the things he did wrong over TWENTY-FIVE YEARS ago. If he was calling friends to prepare them for what was about to come out, what’s the big deal? Was he supposed to be in full agreement with his accuser without defending himself? To be honest, this all sounds ridiculous to me. I have met Dr. Brown and I believe he is a godly man. He confessed to his wife YEARS ago about what had happened (which was not adultery, by the way), which shows that he wasn’t trying to live a double life. Regarding the comment on 34:20 I want to ask why we should assume the worst possible interpretation of Dr. Brown’s reaction? Is it IMPOSSIBLE that Dr. Brown was simply wrong in his opinion? How about the possibility that he was correct? Either way, what is the evidence that he was gaslighting? At 36:39, it’s mentioned that Dr. Brown yelled at someone; at 36:46 you say he apologized. I’m sorry, but the last I checked, it’s a GODLY thing to apologize. Then you ask at 36:50 why would a Christian do that. However, do you realize that that question could be asked literally of EVERY sin we have ever committed? Call me naive, but I don’t think Dr. Brown is being treated fairly. He is a godly man and I hope he doesn’t step down. By the way, I’m not even a fan of his, yet I respect him.
It feels like Miller especially is trying to distance himself from Dr. Brown and is too willing to accept the accusations as true in toto, and expecting Dr. Brown to just confess to them whether accurate or not. I saw Dr. Brown's statement and it didn't bother me at all. He didn't say he was innocent, he didn't blame the victim, he apologized as much as he could, and he tried not to say anything specific about the investigation . The way we react to this stuff puts the accused in a Catch-22: If he speaks up in any way it's spun as "gaslighting", minimizing, or manipulation. But if he stays silent it's recieved as if the person is hiding from the public and from accountability.
Dr. Brown completely failed to repent and that is made abundantly clear in his apology video. Not once did he admit to his adultery which is blatant deception because he knows Matthew 5:28 better than most Christians. He didn’t admit any of his inappropriate behavior towards Erin and instead is letting the investigation do its work which is such a waste of time and donor money. He was there he knows what happened! Why not come clean and end the investigation? Probably because we now know from several witnesses he did in fact touch/kiss her. So far, Dr Brown only admitted to what he’s been caught doing, and never the full truth, which is the very opposite of a contrite and broken, repentant heart. In this statement he once again minimized his past actions, by saying « 23 years ago » several times. Does anyone think this will be a valid argument before the judgment seat of Christ? Time doesn’t exist in the spirit realm, Jesus will still hold us accountable for sins unrepented of, whether they happened yesterday or 23 years ago. And finally Dr.Brown *lied* about what happened with the other married woman. The widower of said woman came out and exposed Brown because he was not being honest and slandering his dead wife’s memory. The Lord said we know a tree by his fruits, and we can know the heart of a person by what’s coming out of their mouths. What are the fruits coming from Dr Brown? -concealing sin, self-preservation, twisting the truth, omitting the truth, doing things in the dark, silencing people who confronted him, not being honest, shifting the blame on the victims, not admitting his actions, gaslighting etc etc etc…. All these reveal an unrepentant, hardened heart that will go to extreme lengths such as lying (all liars will have their part in the lake of fire) to protect his earthly kingdom/idol. This is not brokenness or humility! Michael Brown has not repented and this is extremely worrying because his soul is at stake.
There's been a lot of allegations/accusations about more stuff Dr Brown has done, allegations/accusations from people who know Dr Brown and have worked with him in the past. If the only stuff that Remnant was going off was the things they mentioned in the video then that would be a bit strange, I agree. But there's actually more stuff- they're responding to all the stuff, not necessarily laying all the stuff out. I assume that they'll cover it more in the future when all the info from the investigation comes out.
@@VeryBasicBible if that's the case, it's a point that they should have made in the stream. If there are details that can't be shared then say so, but if they were commenting on allegations that haven't been made public then they had two choices: make the allegations known or make no allusions to them.
@ericedwards5034 I didn't mean stuff that hasn't come to light. It's all stuff it in the open. I didn't know about it, as I don't run in Christmas circles online. I mentioned the apology video in last week's Remnant Radio chat, and Remnant told me to look it up. I looked at Twitter and I also googled "allegations Dr Michael Brown" on Google and found stuff from The Royes Report, Christian Post, Christianity Today, and other sources. I was like "Woah, why haven't we heard about this before?". Seems it's been mostly kept under wraps lately. So yeah, it's all stuff out in the open. Remnant is in the Charismatic spaces online and I'm real life, so it's not really news to them (or others who run in those circles).
Where can you see the details about Jeremiah Johnson and Cummings? I was going to the church J.J. planted in NC for a while. He said Michael Brown and others were his spiritual covering and accountability.
I’m someone who left a partner church of Jeremiah Johnson in October after experiencing spiritual abuse and doctrinal concerns. As far as I can tell, there is not a lot of public information about Jerimiah’s spiritual abuse. I’ve seen a recent video on this channel about his incorrect beginning of the year prophesies for 2024, but that’s about it. I am hopeful that more stories will surface and that God will reveal what is going on in Jerimiah’s church and other NAR churches. Something most definitely isn’t right.
A Verdict on who? We have recordings of Jimmy, Platt, and Chris. And more than one credible witness has come forward to tell their story about Dr. Brown's grooming. The Evidence is before the church. and it is the the responsibility of the church to handle these matters. Brown's own board is doing the investigation, they are not a court.
I know that the grievous sins of such high profile church leaders does not make a case for or against continuationism but it feels like being in our spaces is quite toxic really. I thank you that you are keen not to double down on the pain the victims have experienced. This teaches me to fear the Lord
Where is the Spirit of God in all of this? Prophecy is absent in this matter? This one of the things I don’t understand about continuationists when it comes to matters like these. There is no “God hates mommies and daddies” moment like Michael Brown and others mention to support their claims about prophecy being for today. Deleting his footprint on your channel is a bad look. I appreciate y’all’s work but this sort of thing is where y’all lose so many of us. There doesn’t seem to be much discernment amongst the camp that says they hear God speak to them.
Both Michaels….I appreciate the nuanced explanations about grooming victims and about abusers calling victims bitter to invalidate their experience. IF ONLY MORE CHURCH LEADERS would believe women who are going to them for help.
Unfortunately - there are women who are bitter about something else in their lives add get offended by a particular man for some reason (who knows why?? Could be just about anything) After many years of stewing in that bitterness and anger - they finally come up with a way to inflict their target with the ultimate accusation: that the accused has abused them - or someone close to them - and spread their concoction of lies and deception. (My own sister did this to my husband. Just a few weeks before he and I got married, we were at my family’s house, and he ended up witnessing just how physically abusive she was. He’d heard many times - from many of my friends, as well as myself, about how she treated me, but he’d never seen her in action. That night - he stepped in and put her in her place, by stopping her until I could escape to another room. She stewed in her anger over that situation for a number of years, until she came To with a story by taking bits and pieces of information from his childhood and combining them with things that SHE - AND HER HUSBAND - WERE DOING, coming up with a fantastical story that had destroyed our lives and family. All the while she and her husband and kids have continued to thrive… Never once being held accountable for ANYTHING SHE’S EVER DONE AGAINST US. Not every woman who makes an accusation of abuse has truly been abused by the person she’s accusing. It is vitally important to understand that it is NOT A BAD THING to fully investigate the alleged victim… If we did more of that, we l might be able to prevent innocent men - and their families - from being destroyed.
If the leader isn't guilty why not say "I don't know why they are saying that". They don't have to come up with a reason for the accusation. But we know most of the time they say they are bitter, ect... Because they are guilty.
Thanks for presenting this information. Its a hard topic to cover. One thought though, I think you should have included a female voice in your discussion today since you covered the topic of sexual impropriety between a male pastor and female congregant. I think woman's perspective and contribution to the conversation would have brought more balance to the overall conversation.
Where are the men who will actually protect people from this stuff? If ANY man (pastors included) started getting fresh with my wife that man better hide because he’s going to get a surprise visit from me. It’s STUNNING there never seems to be one elder that is man enough to take physical action to put these abuser out of commission.
Thank you so much for bringing up Grooming. It is a dangerous area to blame a victim who has been looking up to a pastor as a spiritual authority, a shepherd, a trusted protector who systematically starts crossing boundaries in a way that is gradual. Saying ok to the first hand holding puts the victim into an emotional spin. Please don't make statements like, " the woman is compliant" until you listen to several testimonies about how sly, and evil these predators are and so often with young women or men who are naive and pursing the LORD. . The emotional and spiritual aspect is extremely important. Your heart is not evil so it is hard to understand these monsters. Also, in the world, this is considered sexual harassment which is illegal.
I do agree with Jimmy Evens eschatology and was shocked by his part in the Daystar drama. I saw a spiritually abusive self-righteous bully. I unsubscribed to his Tipping Point show. I don't believe that someone has to stay in a marriage where they are being actually abused but he didn't even bother talking to Doug's wife before giving his blessings to his marriage to Joni. He showed no respect to Johnathan and his wife. He treated them like children and Johnathan was actually VP of that mega ministry. He was arrogant and condescending to both of them and expected no accountability from Joni.
This was the best one of these “correction” episodes you guys have done. Honestly prior “correction” episodes seemed to lack the right level of humility and honor from some of the guys. This episode was full of grace, humility, and honor. Thank you!
@ nope. Because they realized that even the leaders don’t believe this stuff, or else they could stop themselves from doing absolutely heinous things. How could a regular person stand a chance if their more educated more well read leaders don’t even buy this crap enough to live by it?
@@MrSeedi76no. Because if a leader is preaching about sin, repentance, holiness, hell, sanctification, etc, and acts the exact opposite, it communicates that even they don’t buy into the crap they preach. Like Dr Brown. He has innumerable sermons on sexual purity, but has zero issue doing that sin himself. Rules for thee and not for me. Why would you continue to believe something that even your teachers and leaders don’t think is important enough to obey? The only evidence for Christianity is the character of its people, and judging from how poor the character is, it doesn’t seem like “the witness of the Holy Spirit” is doing much to some people.
A major difference between parties that are bringing allegations is one seeks personal glory and the other seeks God’s glory. That’s one way to discern.
Look for the patterns. A single incident may probably be resolved, if handled well and fully discussed with accountable parties, but patterns reveal an intiredly different problem. I am very saddened by these revelations.
People don’t know what people do in the dark. But if it comes to light we need to take a stand and give biblical foundations and guidance. Paul called out Peter in public. And gave the reason why.
Do you understand that any of us that have spoken to law enforcement could be charged if what we reported if it weren’t true? It’s called filing a false police report.
Our local church recently went through an allegation/investigation against a pastor and I think handled it really well. The church assumed the allegations were true, put the pastor on leave during investigation, a team was formed headed by a woman (the allegations were sexual), outside pastors were brought in to weigh in on our church's allegations to have a neutral third party, and ultimately the allegations were unfounded. The church was transparent with the congregation and did say they offered a pathway to restoration to the person who made false allegations. Absolutely well done.
Thank you for being bold enough to address these issues. Love Michael, Josh and Michael!
Thanks brother.
Chris Reed, I urge you to consider finding a new career and stepping down from your public ministry. I say this out of love, with a fear of the Lord for you, and with deep concern for the people following you, many of whom are being deceived.
Joshua Simone love your show. Remenant Radio and Torn Curtain should do a show together
Great to see you here, brother, I'm one of your subscribers, you are doing a great job!

This is a misrepresentation of what they described at the beginning of this video. Did you actually watch it? @@theframework
I’ve been waiting for you to address this. It really sucks about Dr. Brown.
He was always a highly overrated Israel shill. I'm not upset by it. The truth is the truth.
I know. I was so grieved when I heard about this 😔
Yeah, im sorry, its hard to hear
Does t surprise me. He gaslighted me when I asked him about his son in law-Ryan Bruss’s claims of visiting Heaven and Hell. Brown knowingly defends liars and wolves.
Very sad about Dr brown but not too surprising when you consider the cover up of his son in laws adultery and quick return to ministry and his response to Mike Bickle situation
This is such a needed conversation! Thank you all for weighing in on these allegations. We need more men of God that can discern these matters justly and who can speak with wisdom to help the body of Christ grow in a healthy and strong way. Well Done!
Ill let you know if I find any 😅
Amen to the balance Rountree and Josh are addressing. A woman sleeping with her pastor is sin and she may have been taken advantage of but she is still not completely innocent. That has been my only contention throughout all of the exposing. Not everyone is willing to say this.
Exactly
The woman’s sin doesn’t redeem the man’s sin. Eve being the first to sin doesn’t absolve Adam’s sin.
💯
Thankful for Michael Miller’s voice in this. He has had the experience. So much is being exposed and revealed to heal the Body and wash Her clean!
But they knew this for years now and said nothing. This is wrong!
Finally, this is being addressed.
Also wanted to add that Remnant Radio has also had a profound impact on my life! Thanks for tackling the tough issues!
Simular happened to us
@@robynmartin9138 I’m so sorry that happened to you! 😞
that is so grose! I am so sorry!

Yes! Ill add this to our calander, we have to do this!
I pray God continues to use you according to His will, that he protect you all and that He give you wisdom, understanding and clear discernment in your individual and collective ministries. thank you! that is very kind.
I have a hard time disagreeing Dan!
Yep . Remember, during Elijah's day it was more or less him against everyone else.
IDK, great question. Sounds like God is calling you to start a new thing 😉
They want to keep power and what happens is it becomes a two fold snare. They make deals between both parties in most cases it seems.
It is time for every ministry to throw away their good ol boys club membership and begin publicly exposing wolves by name. Stop worrying about burning bridges with ministry connections. True shepherds rise up. Fighting wolves isn't casual.

I love how Chris Reed considers being held accountable as being “persecuted” 😒
Love you guys, thank you so much. Painful but utterly beneficial!

Brothers, thank you for this episode.

Well done. Thank you for addressing very difficult issues with love and wisdom.
This episode made me weep. It was such a good reminder of the dire need for the fear of the Lord in each minister’s life.
Right on....well said.😢
Fear of the LORD?
Thank you for addressing this topic guys.
I have not found a church in my 14 years as a believer where Matthew 18 is followed. Churches are run like businesses and not a church. I have found conflict in churches hard to navigate because Matthew 18 is often missing. So needed. 30:43 🙏🕊🕊
Meaning, the example of Platt is fairly normal.
Thank you so much for covering this. I greatly appreciate it
And repentance is not just a change of mind but of direction
when we repent of our sins....does that mean we stop sinning? Because you can't....and I can't
Watch yourself and your doctrine (1 Timothy 4:16)
If one can live in sin and not feel an ounce of guilt or conviction, that person is not under grace. God has simply given them over to what they desire (Romans 1). I do ‘t advocate for sinless perfection but there is a difference of note when a person is truly saved. Ezekiel 36: 25-32 describes what it looks like. It is a supernatural act and it is dramatic.
Repent means a change of mind, that is the simple meaning.
@ I respect him so I’ve been disappointed in what has felt like a flip flop, so I’m glad to hear you had a good experience.
well people in his church have been coming forward about his heavy handed leadership. His brother Josiah just brought a deffimation lawsuit against Jeremiah and his ministry. lots of ugly stuff there.
@ thank you for sharing. I appreciate knowing.
Incredible timing once again. I read Luke 12:2 this morning and had been contemplating it through the day before this video came up.
A Christian counselor once said "One lie is as good as one hundred!"
Brilliant job guys, couldn’t be prouder to follow and endorse your channel
Thanks for explaining ad hominem attacks so clearly! I experienced this when I tried to confront a dangerous leader.
Chris Reed if you are watching this, please take heed. Your soul is important and you're losing it.
At some point there is responsibility to realize that the whole system is rotten to the core.
interesting point. thanks for sharing
After watching the video, I call on all of us to pray thus:
1) God safeguard our spiritual leaders from sin
2) God give us boldness to confront our leaders when they sin.
3) God comfort victims and delivers justice for them
4) (This may be difficult for many but God calls us to pray for those who are in sin) Pray for the perpetrators, that they may repent.
5) Pray for people in faith crises because of the fall of these leaders.
WoW! "Let your yes be yes, and your no, no. Lest you fall into judgement."
Thank you! I have been on both sides of this topic and you have handled it quite well.
Thank you for addressing all three of these in the latest of ongoing scandals.
Good program. I listened to a Bible commentary yesterday where the speaker said "Never ask God for justice. Ask for mercy and grace."
What about Reed's prophecy about Putin and Biden? They are both alive and kicking. Did he ever say he was wrong on that?
Yeah....I was wondering about that...I think The Remnant Boys deleted that interview...I remember...Reed said an angel showed up
I have been following that one. Reed said the timeframe for this to begin would be at the time of Jimmy Carter's death. And the way I heard it was that they would be removed from their positions, not necessarily by death. So obviously Biden will be out soon and we'll see about Putin.
@@theouterplanetAngels are always showing up when it comes to American Evangelical Christian leaders.
Chris reed is false … wolf in sheep clothing - lets be real
did you watch the video?
@ yes i did
Thank you for the balance and tone you handle this with.
Thank you for presenting this information. It's not fun to talk about but it is very important for the body to be informed.
Yall rushed through the last two people please do another show about Jimmy & Dr Brown
Very grateful for you guys
Spiritual abuse does hurt down to our very core!!!
😂😂😂
Heeey there's my brothers. Love you guys man.
Thank you Remnant. They all need to go.. all of them.
What I don't understand is the very limited effort of restoration for those doing evil to the victims.. spiritual- mental- physical and even financial... where is your true sorrow?
When are you going to have an Open Theist on the program?
Thank you, guys. I sure wish one of you was my pastor.
@ericedwards5034
I didn't mean stuff that hasn't come to light.
@@jennawolff4033 Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear that. Do you mind if I ask what church?
Thank you for addressing this
Thanks gentlemen -! You guys are the best
We should hold our tongue until a verdict is passed.
Could be just about anything)
After many years of stewing in that bitterness and anger - they finally come up with a way to inflict their target with the ultimate accusation: that the accused has abused them - or someone close to them - and spread their concoction of lies and deception.
It is vitally important to understand that it is NOT A BAD THING to fully investigate the alleged victim…
If we did more of that, we l might be able to prevent innocent men - and their families - from being destroyed.
If the leader isn't guilty why not say "I don't know why they are saying that". They don't have to come up with a reason for the accusation.
But we know most of the time they say they are bitter, ect... Because they are guilty.
Chris Reed also committed adult clergy SA, let's not forget that.
Not sure where you got this information. I have done a lot of research and see no where this happened. No sex between him and the woman happened???
I respect the fact that you guys had the conversation.
Is all of this information hear say still? Are we talking about this as if it already happened and has been verified? I’m a little behind.
Discussion regarding Chris Reed begins after 1:01 mark.
Thank you for doing the difficult thing and explaining whats going on.
You’re a pre trib rapture person, lol 😜
This was the best one of these “correction” episodes you guys have done. Honestly prior “correction” episodes seemed to lack the right level of humility and honor from some of the guys.
This episode was full of grace, humility, and honor. Thank you!
This is why so many of my friends have fallen away from church and christian culture.
Because they noticed all humans are sinners? I mean - that's actually in the Bible so shouldn't really come as a big surprise.
Thank you for saying they each have a percentage of consent AND that one is the abuser but the other is still in sin.
If you need something to cheer you up, the Wes Huff Rogan podcast is available now
Do you understand that any of us that have spoken to law enforcement could be charged if what we reported if it weren’t true? It’s called filing a false police report.
Our local church recently went through an allegation/investigation against a pastor and I think handled it really well. The church assumed the allegations were true, put the pastor on leave during investigation, a team was formed headed by a woman (the allegations were sexual), outside pastors were brought in to weigh in on our church's allegations to have a neutral third party, and ultimately the allegations were unfounded. The church was transparent with the congregation and did say they offered a pathway to restoration to the person who made false allegations. Absolutely well done.
