So timely ! As I have also heard from spiritual leaders speaking about this is a time of the accuser of the brethren. when I hear leaders speak like this it brings about confusion and when we believers can speak about what we see or too scared to upset the Lord and just stay quiet and not be a disruptor. Y’all always bring clarity on so many charismatic topics. And I have greatly benefited from hearing y’all discuss. Thank you.
I think it’s important to differentiate between hurt and harm. Exposing the truth or the unrepentant sin of an elder may cause hurt to the church but it doesn’t harm the church. Just like going to the dentist may cause you hurt, but it doesn’t harm you. The hurt may be necessary to bring about health and healing. When you equate the two, you can always make a case for keeping things buried that shouldn’t be.
This was excellent. So grateful for all your knowledge and truth. Love that you are bringing light to such scandals, in the midst of so many who want to continue to silence the truth. God is at work, to be sure.
I have observed much toxicity in churches. There is no growth in the fruits of the spirit and church learders believe their own press. There is no reverential fear of the Lord. It's been stated thar closers one gets to inside leadership, the less of Jesus they see. As someone "behind the curtain" as in the Wizzard of OZ I strongly attest to this. Thankfully on line churches and fellowships are growing.
23:00. The confusion around exposing true sin.... 1). We must know Scripture in order to know what is actually sin. 2) We instead too often rely on emotions. We *feel* offended, so they must have sinned. Or..... Someone appears very, very upset and emotional. So there must be something to what they are saying. When actually, people get very upset when a place of rebellion in their heart is touched on. Now, people do get upset rightfully when they've been sinned against. But we cannot take high emotionality as the main factor in determining whether true sin has occurred. 3) we beed to really understand and believe that not every thought comes from us, and the enemy likes to get into our emotions. *Especially* he likes to get into offense and turn that into slander and division. We really need to be aware of any feelings of offense we have and take care of those feelings of offense very promptly and properly. "Ok. I feel offended. Why? Because xyz. Ok. Is xyz actually a sin?".
41:30. The Church warning about dangerous people. We really have a very carnal understanding of love, grace, and mercy. Biblical love *always* seeks to reconcile people back to God. We allow human emotional responses the govern our discernment. We dont want to upset people. That's really fear of man. Lets call that what it is. Mercy and Love looks like attempting to reconcile them back to God. Grace is forgiving. But in forgiveness we cannot lose sight of the call to restore them back to God.
I'm struggling with the allegations against Shawn Bolz. He's had a huge impact on me and those allegations are pretty convincing. It's rocking my world right now. i don't know who I can trust anymore.
Jesus. You can trust Jesus. Its sad when sin is exposed, but I do know The Lord Tries to Work with people privately before He Does a public exposure. But I think we as humans need to confess to The Lord when we've relied on humans too much, to be our intermediaries to God. It's so easy to fall into this. And, I think grief is normal. But also, I would encourage you to ask The Lord if you are relying on human teachers too much. 1 Peter 4:17 17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? This has been a season of Exposing and Cleansing The Church. It's difficult to witness, but if you look at The Big Picture, it's necessary to Protect people. This is even an act of Mercy to the exposed sinners; that they might stop sinning and harming themselves and others. It is Good to stop that. Hope this doesn't come off as harsh. Trying to truly help, though.
I’m old. I was around for the Swaggert Baker scandals. As a new Christian then it was difficult to sort. The Lord spoke to me …He started His church with 12 men on foot, He doesn’t need televangelists. Then I realized I was leaning on these broken men instead of the Holy Spirit. It was a wake up call about following men instead of the Lord. Ultimately, it drew me closer to Him and left me praying for broken leaders. Realized I’ll never have the temptations of money and celebrity that these men had… so bad for any human to be adored and followed. It makes humility too fragile. So I’m not judging them but I don’t follow them either. God bless
I have tried taking issues to church administrators a couple of times and was brushed off. It was one of these local mega-seeker-friendly churches. Evidently, according to them, if something does not rise to their level of concern it doesn't matter. But I was left with messy uncomfortable situations. You, that is the messenger, thus becomes the problem, and subtly you get pushed to the margins, frustrated until you finally just leave.
@@TheRemnantRadio Thanks, Still looking. What I seem to be finding is that there are 3 of these mega-style large churches and a couple of small ones here with that same business model. One is really not that different from the other. Several of the other churches here tend to be very woke, hence sketchy. These mega-churches and their aspirants seem to have had a homogenizing and dumming down effect on the church going market, I think impacting in a not so good way the Bible message and the vibrancy and vareity of that market. Like Costco moving into a small town, all the little stores and retailers get put out of business. An adacemic economist with theological interests may find this place an interesting case study. Head Pastors getting rich, Church real estate portfolios getting huge, like another kind of investment hedge fund, but without the SEC oversite. (Churches are not required to file IRS Form 990s for example, how did that happen?!. Seems potentially dangerous from a legal perspective.) Am trying to find a small church this time. Some of these big churches, if you get caught up in their gearworks it can be a problem. Money and corporate politics. I am sereiously questioning if this is what the Bible says a church should be. WWJD? Matt 21:12-13, Mark 11:15-18.
“Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm. (Cover their faces with shame, Lord, so that they will seek your name. )Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” Psalms 83:13-16, 18 NIV This is a prayer to our GOD, talking to our GOD about the matter
This has been a difficult season of exposure. May we all take a moment to ask The Lord to Reveal to us if we are relying on and trusting in man too much. We can feel stronger in discernment, and *are* stronger, when we read the whole Bible, cover to cover. Knowing Our God through His Word Protects us from wolves, false teachers, and false prophets. Reading with revelation throughThe Holy Spirit strengthens our armor. Knowing The Ancient Story in Scripture also Protects us. There is nothing new under the sun. It is right to grieve church leaders 'falling'. But if it affects our faith, we must ask in what was our faith in? There are tares in The Church. There are wolves among the sheep, as Josh declared that Scripture. Let us learn to discern and deal with these things rightly, especially before public exposure. But The True Church is Alive and the gates of hell will not prevail against Her. Let us keep focus on The Head of The Church, Jesus, not ve thrown off assignment by the works of the enemy.
Honestly I found it discouraging when I would go to a prayer room and not see revival happening. Now it is clear God will not be mocked and requires sincere repentance. The fear of the Lord is gift to the body. I would love to see u talk to Charlie Shamp about a prophecy he had about passing under the shepherds rod and the scriptural basis for it.
In the sermon on the mountain, Jesus used the formulation..."You have heard it said, but I say...". The Remnant Radio version is... "You have heard Kenneth Copeland say, so don't listen to him. Or you have heard Kenneth Hagen say, so don't listen to him.. Or you have heard Benny Hinn say, so don't listen to him, ad nauseam. If you gentlemen honestly do not understand the difference then at your next conference you will have to spend considerable time delivering each other unless repentance is a prerequisite for deliverance. If that is so, you will be able to stay as you are.
For "Christians" it's okay for them to talk about politicians, movie stars, music artists.... but NOOOO, don't talk about the Lord’s anointed. Don't you go there! Isn't this two faced (hypocritical) of them?
Same standards for all. In fact - we as Christians don't need to comment on anything of the world at all. I think that's a huge problem with all the accusations of misconduct being brought forth against many prominent people and often it's stuff that either can no longer be corroborated or it's one person saying this, another saying something different. Also "talking about" someone isn't the same as slander. And if people would not have this tendency to seek publicity, there'd not be much to talk about in the first place.
When ministries focus on exposing scandal in churches, it reminds me of leeches, living off of the blood of others. I’m sorry, I’m all for exposing bad theology and cautioning ppl about following ppl who do such and such but I see good ministries getting “clicks and likes” bc they are discussing scandals. I think it harms that ministry. (I always feel for the guy pulling the level on death row. What does that do to him? No matter how justified… ) God bless
Amen Josh. Well said. HOW CAN THE TRUTH GRIEVE THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH.
Well, when you're sharing it with someone you shouldn't be sharing it with as gossip, I suppose.
But in general, I agree.

So, in essence, be honest and pure in your motives and actions. Great show!
yup! Crazy how far the golden rule will take you

Is Miller referring to UR Dallas? Is this the place where he experienced spiritual abuse and let go from?

What is the application to the Roman Catholic confessional situation?
Not sure I’m super protestant.

And hi m&m
I’m getting tired of this, guys. These days it seems like all you’re talking about is calling people out. Please get back to theology.
This episode is on theology. Defining theological terms. Hope you enjoy.
