"Tower of Dr. Z" [10X] - Hidden Ambiance

- I do not own the characters, the cartoon, the original music, the concept or any of the IP. That would be Cartoon Network as of 2017. The music's original author is Jody Gray, "The Tower of Dr. Zalost Suite". The show was directed by John Dilworth. This is a derivative, non-monetized work.
This is the first entry of "Hidden Ambiance" where instead of a game soundtrack, I tackle a phenomenal, emotional track from "Courage the Cowardly Dog" that has always stuck with me. Turns out, I think it sounds pretty good at 10X slower speed, as well.
This was the title theme for the episode and it played at the tense parts of the episode as well.

This whole episode is full of hidden meaning
depression, how money can't cure you and the friend you always wanted was behind you the whole time, i feel even more attached since i'm serbian and the first time i saw the episode i didn't realise that Zalost means in our language sorrow, like damn i just never expected such a twist! even when the word i was supposed to knew was in front of my face!!!

I recently binged the series 2 weeks ago and I miss it soooooo much.
When I was little I felt so touched by this episode every time i watched it, idk exactly why, the epic music, dr zalost and the people recovering their happiness after being in such a depresive state but I always tought it was a beautiful story with a deep meaning
The deep meaning was showing what we all would become as we got older we all became like Dr.Zalost 😔
This goes through 4 steps:
Step 1: Depression
Step 2: Rataliation
Step 3: Acknowledgement
Step 4: Happiness

Honestly the best episode this show has

Amazing ending
And an amazing message
It just shows just how much of an effect depression and loneliness can have on people. So much for the point where the closest thing to happiness is if you make others feel the same. Until you find that help in the end.
I just also love how for an episode it honestly felt like watching a movie.
Just the whole interaction with Courage and Zalost. The music and everything just made it felt like a final boss for Courage to try to either defeat or redeem. All of his past experiences just coming down to this encounter.
This has a very special sorrowful atmosphere, good one tho!!
Sorrow, sadness, darkness, unhappiness...... This theme calms me cause how the way i feel i can relate to this theme..... Wheres Rat when i need him i need a hug Rat......

Wait, this is just a slowed down version? I've been listening to this for hours, and thought it was an original work, just by how different it sounds. Wow.
I had a cartoon network CD as a kid and it had KND, PPG, and courage but this specific episode played on the cd i was so infatuated w this episode as a kid idk why but like ik i liked the story and the music it was giving me all the feels now i remember it faintly and i have dealt with depression and felt loneliness as a kid ig thats why i felt so attached? Maybe bc i felt seen

For show at the time that was considered a kids show, now for all ages and it is still good. Tower of Dr. Zalost is a serious episode with a serious tone, with humor of course. I love darker episodes that tend to be serious, such as King Ramses's Curse, The House of Discontent, Windmill Vandals, The Mask, Remembrance of Courage's Past, Dome of Doom, Queen of Puddles, and of Tower of Dr. Zalost. This ambience music fits the atmosphere of the series, Courage determined to protect Muriel and Eustace from the hell nature of Nowhere.😱😟😨😰🥶

I too never forgot this melody or the episode itself. This is a weird video to me though. On one hand I'd call it lazy and lame to just extend a track by ten times and call it interesting, but on the other for me at least it surprisingly is. There's more good sound than I would've thought there would be and it would certainly more or less work as ambiance. I'm glad I found this though, it's certainly interesting and personally has expanded what I thought was possible with music honestly.
