    Really appreciate all your videos. We used the LPDA antenna with the rut240 on our block of land that has no reception. With the closest tower 25km away, we have reliable internet that even allows streaming Netflix. Added a Poe access point to give us plenty of range that visitors could also connect to. Big win!     Thanks David, that's exactly what I thought. In a static situation, knowing the location of the base station, you could utilise cross polarisation with two omnis. On a boat, shifting on its mooring, a very haphazard situation will result.

      Yes, 45dgr omni is a tricky one. There is a way though to achieve Slant45 but it's a specialized application that requires a polarisor and they are not cheap, so not always sensible in commercial / consumer applications.
      I do see many antenna companies offering MIMO on omni antennas, and the question is always how that's achieved, and over the years the answer, unfortunately, is quite disappointing and what's being done is pretty much what I tried to explain in this video.
