    fwiw, I used to live in an old house, with thick brick walls and multiple solid steel bars running vertically on the outside of the window. the signal inside was terrible, but once I cable tied the Fastmile to the outside of the bars, the signal was good. also covered with a plastic bag for weather protection. dodgy, but it worked well

      The antennas on the FastMile are really incredible. Doing what you explain would indeed work really well :D
