  • In this video we address a question that we can't answer, and that's whether 5G internet will benefit from a 5G booster or repeater ?

Hey David, great upfront, honest opinion. Luv ya work.
We are also concerned about the direction this country is going with communication in particular rural internet service. The telcos are offering faster speeds at the expense of distance and coverage. Every time we have an "upgrade" ie from Analogue, CDMA, 3G, 4G and now 5G, the coverage gets more black spots forcing the need for (not Boosters) repeaters and it is just not working with data, voice yes but data no. We have had our best results with antenna over boosters. This goes back 14 years to plugging antennas into the back of a Samsung C5220 and using it as a hotspot. We no longer rely on, or use the Celfi GO for data, we have much better results with your selection of MIMO antenna options for the boat and vehicle. Thank you again.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. The solution is so simple, but because there are too many options and opinions out there people tend to confuse solutions because of subtle similarities. Once the 3G network is shut down there will be a whole new lesson to be learned by everyone about what can be done with the remaining available options.

Yep, you made sense, I didn't even think of that with the 4G version. Good info.

Great video David, I've installed alot of Celfi Go's, and I say it this way so my customers understand it easy.
The Celfi Go, is only designed to give you a stronger phone signal for phone calls, as that's what it's designed to do, not likely to do anything for internet speeds.
But over the last year, I'm installing lots of Starlink instead, because it kills 2 birds with 1 stone, being fast internet and Excellent WiFi calling, so Happy customers 😊😊
Cheers Rob LIVE WIRE ANTENNAS 📡

Hi Dave, I have a testra celfi which I really only use for voice when driving and it certainly works very well for that..going forward when 3 g is switched off I can really see getting a good data connection and using voice over wifi been the way to go. As you have explained very well 4g and 5g really work best when they have 2 or 4 antenna connected. Honestly 4g is fast enough if you have a decent connection.. It would be good to see some omni car friendly antenna coming along that incorporate the 2 or 4 in one. Maybe like a smaller version of say a OMNI-414. or Poynting MIMO-3-15?? Something that looks more like we use now and looks good on the car.

Yes, that's a good point. I can't wait to get my hands on the new MIMO-4 antennas so we can put it to the test and see what it brings us. That might be the solution we are all waiting for :)

Pricked my ears up at this as we have a 4G Cel-Fi Go repeater for voice, and we just recently replaced our dead Nighthawk with a Teltonika RUT360 we got from you guys. We're rural and get a weak to moderate 4G signal from a tower 18km away, but reasonably good line of sight. As your tech predicted might happen, the RUT is picking up signal from our Cel-Fi Go. There aren't enough bands available to set each to work with separate bands. So the internet speed isn't as good as it was with the Nighthawk (it didn't seem to conflict with the Cel-Fi). We're considering going with Starlink as we could get a wifi bridge and share the cost with our kids in an adjacent house on the property. But I'm absolutely no expert on this stuff!

      Hi Andrew,
Some good questions in there. I noticed you also sent me an email direct so I'll respond there, but in essence I'm going to ask if you have external antennas, and if not I'd recommend evaluating if that resolve the problem.

Hi David, that’s the conclusion I came to that led to the 5G caravan setup (which works amazing). You’ll only get good data speeds if all antenna are separate & connected.
