8v71buses His “facts” aren’t facts at all, it was simply a predetermined narrative that he made up to fit his biased agenda. What he said was seemingly articulate, yet it lacked substance, was intentionally misleading and was intellectually dishonest.
No matter what “race” you are, anyone can be racist. The lack of power argument is better suited to discuss systemic oppression, not racism. If you hate someone based on their skin color, especially if you act on your hatred, you are a racist (it’s not complicated, in fact it’s so simple a 3rd grader can understand it). As for “race”, that idea is a societal construct and holds no valid scientific reasoning. Humanity is not a race (or made of races), we are a species and skin color is merely a trait (no more of an important distinction than hair color).
Now get over your brainwashed way of thinking and stop repeating nonsense that you think sounds intelligent. Our societies are different, that is true, but that has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with upbringing.

Sal Agnello Actually, I don’t think that’s quite right. Hating someone for their skin tone sounds more like a prejudice. I think if we’re talking about actual racism, you have to bring superior/inferior notion. I could hate you for your skin tone all I want but until I see you as part of a race that’s inferior (or superior), it’s not quite racist. Atleast based on my understanding

    • @GhostSal
      @GhostSal 4 роки тому +13

onegaisti Once your feelings toward entire group of people (in other words another race) are to the level of hatred that is beyond being prejudice. That is racism, hating another race based on their skin color. Prejudice I could see an argument for if you have some biases but all out hatred is just too much to use that word.

But because black people shout louder than everyone else and are considered the biggest victims we now feature as around 80 percent of people on British TV. We even have a situation known as ' black washing ' where historical figures who were white are portrayed in dramas and films as being black and the audiences is meant to sit there pretending not to notice. If any one points out otherwise, they are labelled racist. White in Britain are spending a lot if time apologising for being white in a country where the original inhabitants were always white.

"Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson" love to make "white conservatards" angry. Even many black people don't take "Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson" serious. AND NO THEY'RE NOT BLACK LEADERS. AND NO THEY DON'T REPRESENT ALL BLACK FOLKS!!! But back at black folk's being racist, one word impossible. Black folk's would invest into a time machine. Go back and enslave white people, tell them they were 3/5 of a person. Breed them like cattle. Take there women. Force them to learn black people language. Set up laws that only favor black people. Tell "white people" that they were inferior to black people. Infected them with diseases. Then the all black government, would scare the all black people, that they should band certain drugs, because it made "white men" crazy and have sex with "black women". Have a the black version of "Christopher Columbus" who was a bad guy in history, have a day to celebrate him. But then have the "white" version of "martin luther king jr" day, be a tough fight to have his day to celebrate him. Even though the "white martin luther king jr" stood for peace, unlike that black "Christopher Columbus" guy. Then black people would discriminant against qualified "white people" for jobs, and then call them lazy. In then and only then you can say "Black people are racist!". But will never know right!

JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY this was the most ridiculous argument I've heard in my life!! You get a guy with some fancy vocabulary and some diction and everyone thinks he's making a whole lotta sense.
Racism does NOT presupposes the ability to do anything! including the ability to oppress or implement laws; that has nothing to do with being racist.
So he says black people are capable of prejudice but not racism? WELL the definition of racism is: Prejudice based upon a person's race. Racism IS prejudice, so if black people can be prejudicial, they can also be racist!!!!
The ability to make laws that oppress a specific race is called abuse of authority. And the U.S. govmt abused their authority BECAUSE they were racist, they weren't racist BECAUSE they abused their authority.
He then uses some bad example of black people not really being racist, and voting for presidents, yada yada, and says:
"...that's why I hang with black folk all the time, cause I know better than that!"
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THAT'S FUCKING RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So you're saying you don't hang with white folk because they don't know shit and black people are superior? There's that definition of racism we were talking about!!
Denial never helped anyone, and black people denying the existence of black racism is not helping anything either....

White people govern the states, they are the ones who are in control therefore they dictate whatever happens to any other race. You see it in the judicial system in America a lot, how blacks are treated. You owning a little business means you are apart of the minority, your race doesn’t have control of another race. Racism is having the belief that ones race is superior to the other and through history blacks never had the capability to have control based on our resources. The word racism is geared toward white race being superior black race, that’s the origin of racism, it was never the other way around. So black people cannot be racist. We can be prejudice but not racist.

Economically we were just as poor, politically we had no say in that neighborhood and socially out numbered, me and my family were out-powered militarily because we had ROCK FIGHTS for 2 years. I still have a dent in my head from one of those rocks...A BIG DENT! We were finally accepted after 2 years of rock fights, bullying and fights. And what I mean by being accepted is that we were to poor to move anywhere else so we just became part of the neighborhood. It cracks me up how we break up racism between WHITE & BLACK. Skay, so you’re saying that by telling a Mexican person “GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY”, as a black person, it is NOT racist because blacks have been oppressed by whites for years, and that it is only one action of oppression. Ok, so what if an asian told a black person to go back to their country? It’s not racist right, cuz it’s only ONE action of oppression? To take it even further say in modern times a white told a black to go back to their country, it’s not racist right? It was only one action of oppression. And you might say that because he is from a race (white) that has oppressed blacks for years that yes, it is indeed racist. But you can’t categorize one person as a part of the whole, (the whole white race) because just as there are white people who would say such terrible things like “go back to your country”, there are white people who would never say that. Just as there are Asians who would say “go back to your country”, there are Asians who would NEVER say that.

Jason Salazar Like I told you in the last comment on the other post black people in America do not see our race as superior to another race when how can we as an oppressed group? It’s not about power like he said in this video, it’s more about not even having the ability to believe such in a white washed country like America. You have to be prejudice simply because you believe your race is superior to the other race to be considered racist... you have to be discriminatory towards another race simply because you believe your race is superior to that one. Prejudice doesn’t mean racism in itself alone.. anybody can be prejudice without being racist.. The definition has quite a few meanings but here are two from Merriam Webster: an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics (so that means you can be prejudice towards gay people but that doesn’t make you racist...) the next one is: preconceived judgement or opinion (meaning you could think all gay people act the same and meet one and it’s totally not what you judged them based off prejudgement) ! Y’all use this word racism too loosely.

A racist person is a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
".....that's why I hang around with black folk all the time." I know more than a few white guys who feel the same thing about white folk. But they would be called racist if they were to publicly say so.
You know who I like hanging out with? PEOPLE who value others for their heart, love, intelligence, diversity, etc. I am thankful to have met those kind of people, independent of race and/or within a variety of different races.

When you have to change the entire meaning and literal definition of a word to fit your argument, you have no argument.
Hell, I’d win every argument too if I could just accuse anyone that disagreed with me a racist. If you can’t win just cheat!

"Racism can only be held by the dominant race." I would like to know if this holds for the race dominant in a *particular area*, such as the world, a country, a state, or a neighbourhood.

ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE that points to others besides themselves and says that's a different race than I; THEY ARE RACIST! Michael Eric Dyson would point to me and call me "White race" HE is therefore Racist. I am not white or of a unique race than he, I am not racist. Further to that I have no apologies to make on behalf of my skin color for slavery, OR for anyone who blames my skin tone on their status in society. NONE of my ancestors oppressed ANY of Michael Eric Dyson's ancestors EVER. So tired of this garbage.
