If only more people could grow the fuck up like you did, more bands would be willing to expand their sound, and we'd have more bands like Baroness, Mastodon, or Sepultura who change their sound nearly every album.
I liked that psychedelic turn it made. I just hope the new album is mixed better and not brick walled like the last one. It was the one thing holding it back from being nearly flawless.
Yeah, I don't get it. It's the same as the Mastodon fans who still expect Remission: The Sequel any day now. Bands change and we still have older albums, so let it go. It's cool if you don't dig the new stuff, but you shouldn't write it off simply because it isn't O'Appalachia.
Crumbo - You’re welcome! I had my hand on my phone the entire set waiting for anything new. And yeah... I’m fan enough to catch a new song within the first 2 or 3 notes. Ha! 😄
Him and Gina both had Fenders, he played a Strat, this guitar then a first act doubleneck 12 string. She pmayed 2 Teles and they both ran through small fender combo amps. First time ive seen them without boutique gear. Sounded fucking amazing though.
The issue with Y&G and Purple isn't that it's not as 'heavy' as red or even blue but that the songwriting has become much more formulaic and simple. This is sounding a bit proggier like the early stuff especially with the ending. If this isn't a standout track and just the standard of what to expect on the new album I think it has the potential to be really good.
Dave Davidson Dude Yellow and Green is to me, like, one of the best albums, period. It was heavy enough yet it was just the themes of it and the overall mellowness that made it was what it is. It’s a 10/10 for me
Yellow and Green wasn’t formulaic at all. The first time I heard Cocainium I hated it because of how unexpected it was as a fan since First. Eventually it became my favorite record of theirs.
Amazing song, and thanks for a clean recording! Sidenote... from the "flavor" of the note Jon was beginning to play at the end... I already know what the next song in the set was about to be. :)
CheeseTaterson - You’re welcome. I have a very steady hand and always cup the mic area. (A trick from years of trying to get a clean audio/video clip from live shows.) Glad you enjoyed.
So... I got to see them in Cleveland last night, and recorded If I Had to Wake Up, A Horse Called Golgotha, and Chlorine & Wine... but my dumbass singing got picked up over the band audio. :/
Matter of personal preference for sure. They pulled it off great for the most part, but there are usually kinks to work out when debuting a song live, so I’d rather hear the original version first.
@@davidrocha7501 Yeah, go ahead patronize me that just gives me insight into who you are. What i meant was "It doesn't sound like they once did, the only remaining member is John. I have trepidation about it, I don't quite see it"
Unfortunately it sounds exactly like a song from purple, or blue, or green/yellow. It’s just glorified bouncy pop rock over and over with these guys at this stage. Shame. I’ll stick with a First, Second and Red.
To be honest, it hasn’t got anything to do with the colours, it’s that nothing really stands out with these guys anymore, or right now when it comes down to it. It’s just all of this same sound throughout, it’s not bland, but it doesn’t really stand out to me, not like Red did when it came out. There doesn’t appear to be any evolvement. Maybe the album will tell a different story, I hope so, cause I do like Baroness.
Very nice....I'm digging Gina's vocal contribution more and more.....will always miss Pete though
Baroness is the band that broke me from being a closed minded, elitist, death metal turd nugget.
Funny, they’re the band that keeps me a closed minded, elitist death metal turd nugget
You know, you can listen to baroness AND death metal?!
@@creepycrawler123 no fucking way?? Your kidding??
Doug Gilpin yeah, no rules with music broh.

I agree, such a good album but man the mastering got botched.
I completely agree. It's so hard to listen to that record with the mix/master being so bad.
could not agree more!!!!!
Damn, first time I actually see people acknowledging it
RIP purple, another casualty of the loudness war
I really like this song. The mix on the official video seems a bit off to me. Live with a clearer sense of dynamics really does it justice
That's the case with the whole album sadly. It's great music with way too much distortion
WOULD YOU LAAAAAAAY ME DOOOOOOOWN
Oh, wait..
Lol Gina sings better than John does. Hopefully she takes lead for a couple songs!
this group has set the standard of how a group's sound should change through time to keep fresh and cutting edge.
Lol at these nerds expecting Baroness to write music that sounds like First or Second at this point in their career. This song is rad!

very purple sounding at the start, but then turned into something very new and groovy
That went in a very cool direction at the end
Audience = Walking dead
It's a new song that always happens. People just try to take it in you know?
Nick is rocking that sweet neck-curtain. The mullet is making a comeback.
Best modern rock band.
Thanks for posting. Lots of Baroness fans excited to hear this song today.

Even though I hate my ex, she got me into Baroness, and I love them. Hope they show some more love to Florida soon!
Baroness, Horseburner, John Garcia, Tool, expected Mastodon's new song, 2019 will be great
Gina sounds great. Song sounds classic B, expecting they pull out some weird shit on the new album 🤙
Awesome, I've been liking the way direction Baroness has been going now since the yellow & green album!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Love that groove line at the end. Looking forward to the new album.
if I could put two creative genius's in one room and ask them to collaborate it would be John Baizley and Lady GaGa.
I'm so glad I got to see them perform this live last night. It was honestly amazing after three years and one canceled concert (Fuck Open Air)
I was at open air. What a fucking disaster. I did watch Ministry and Slayer though.
Gods... They only get better.
The song title is Borderlines
Eric Marten - Thank you! Updated.
Interesting drumming
Great song! Sounds amazing! Love the vocals!!!
The vocals have really taken off. John's voice has really developed over the last few years and Gina's harmony's are spot on.
Gina fucking rules. The vocal harmonies in this are sick!
Ha, there I am front and center. Thanks for posting this!
let the short people see!
I was up in the balcony. Trying to figure out how close I was to whoever filmed this because this was my exact view. Great show though.
No, we had GA tickets and just walked up with no problem.

Is Pete back? Looks like Pete playing.
Yes, if Pete got boobs
No bro, Pete always play guitar les paul (is a guitar model that he used).

"At this stage"? You're talking about a 10 year span there, so maybe they were never the band you were looking for in the first place.
