Nope…. Belt is still about half inch too short to go on even with tensioner cranked all way over…. So not happy. All the vids I’ve seen it seems so loose and easy. Not mine.
Figured something was wrong. Went back to parts store. They got me a different belt, we measured it against the first one; was a little bigger. Turns out they gave me a belt for a 105v alternator, my truck has the 130v alternator... Larger pulley. The 130v belt went back on like butter. My serp belt tensioner pulley had catastrophically melted down and shredded itself into confetti and took both belts out with it. Who in the world makes a major functional pulley out of plastic?!?!?! New tensioner unit, two new belts, all is well again.
