So I had a RTU5024 controller but it quit working cause cell company said they were going to 5G and i needed a new sim card. Ever since I put the new sim card in I haven't been able to communicate with controller. Any suggestions please?
I wired mine up just like this. Checked it 4 times, hooked up to the battery and it started smoking. I have since checked the wiring 4 more times and it is exactly like you said. Any ideas? Maybe the automotive relay is bad or has a different color coding?
This bubba is not wired up correctly. 87a (red wire on relay)is not supposed to be used(just pull that terminal out.) 85 goes to NO and 86 goes to COM on the gsm. That switches the relay on. Power goes to 30 which is blue on the relay and yellow is 87 and that goes to the actuator positive terminal. If you doubt me, the relay has a diagram on it and the actuators and gsm controllers both come with matching diagrams.
I can not for the life of me figure my gsm RTU5024 out I put the SIM card in but I can’t figure out how to activate it without a imei nunber so I’m stuck.
Does your popper get super hot ? Because mine does. Any ideas ?
I need to know how to get the IEMI number from the GSM device? I have an AT&T Prepaid card & I can't activate it unless I have the IEMI#

The rtu5024 is not compatible past 3g from what I have seen. You will need to upgrade
The wiring was pretty easy but I couldn’t get the stupid thing programmed. You have any advice?

What gsm are you using? What was smoking?
I have not found an rtu5024 that works with att since the 3G went away.

Whats the purpose of the relay? And whats it supposed to sound like when you call?
The door popper draws too high of amperage to got through the gsm . It would burn it up. Just a click is all it should make
where did you get the 4g module? do you have name and part #?
