The Coal Train probably isn't picking up passengers because there's not enough platforms to load 3 trains at once, not sure if that's a mechanic ingame but it would make sense to me. Newport Beach, Shawnee and Erie would also be good places to have a repair depot for your trains on those line. You may as well finish those last two techs for the Memnon as well, I believe they help slightly with upkeep and since you have so many of them it should be quite helpful. Also those faster trains will be useful for delivery some bread to the further out cities.

22:15 i think the problem with the planks in Newport beach Station is that you need to unload the lumber at the lumber mill and not at the town
