Loved it! The invisible treat scene was really fun, we laughed out loud :D And it's really funny to watch him being so decent next to you, such a good boy in front of the cam. And when the cam is off all the craziness begins :D I think you guys are doing great, Cannon is really lucky to be living in such beautiful nature.

I felt really bad with the treats as I thought he would only do it a couple of times! 🤣 I’m glad you enjoyed the video, yes he likes to act like a good boy on camera for his fans! 😳😂🐾

You are doing an amazing job! Lord Cannon is Devine! Love your creativity w him. We have two 15 month old male Vizslas and loved them dearly. All the training pays off. We’ve been through it all... A routine is key w positive reenforcement. They still have three 1.5- 2 hour naps during the day, sleep solid at night and we have to wake them up in the morning. Opposite personalities. 1 is Velcro’d to me half the time. They keep each other entertained mostly.
Your future looks bright. Happy to report my pups fit into our lives now not vice versa. It took some time but it will happen... Here’s some professional advise that worked for our pups:
Crate training - these pups are mischievous so it’s safer for them to sleep in their crates. When they’re young so they could choke on anything wo being supervised.
Bitter apple spray - sprayed on everything that they tried to chew. Worked v well.
A water bottle filled w 8 ounces of water and a 1/4 tsp of vinegar - all else failed or if they could hurt themselves or someone else. They don’t like the smell. I sprayed them once to not use my sofa as a trampoline. Now they wait for permission. If they do go on and they didn’t wait for permission, I tell them off and the comply straight away wo a spray..
I can’t wait to see the next video...

Thank you so much for the comments, very helpful. So nice to hear that yours sleep so well and that you have to wake them up! I can’t wait for that you happen! Also that they fit into your lives now. I am very hopeful for the future, I’m very much looking forward to getting over the not listening stage! Thanks again. 😊🐾

What was your experience with training on leaving them alone? We have a 13 week old and we can leave in the crate with a kong and he wont care if we leave but the second he finished he starts to bark and whine. We both work form home so we are sure how to train alone time.

    • @LordCannonTheVizsla
      @LordCannonTheVizsla  3 роки тому

@@XOBeautyLover we really only put him in the crate when he is tired, he has three naps a day and sleeps in there at night. I’ve never given him a Kong because he goes straight to sleep now. As soon as we got into a routine with the crate it got easier. Is he in different room when he is in the crate? How long have you left him for once the Kong has finished? 😊🐾

We have a 17 week old Vizsla, so a couple weeks behind Lord Cannon. Love watching your vids every week and it’s so reassuring to know it’s hard for everyone at times! Our Vizsla Pepper doesn’t like being on her own either but trying to gradually build time up leaving her with a kong in a crate. They’re so used to us being around 24/7 because of lockdown! You’re doing amazing and looking forward to watching the rest of your journey.

Thank you so much for the nice comments, it’s tough and like you said lockdown makes it harder as we are all working or studying from home. We have started doing the same as you building time up gradually. Hopefully by the end of the year we can get to ten minutes! 😂😂🐾

My daughter has a 3 yr old Vizsla Oliver that I watch during the weekdays - he is so much fun, but definitely crazy. He loves to chew cardboard and sticks. Loves his toys especially the squeaky ones - never chews the toys up just carries them around. He hates men and barks at them always, never women - I believe he was mishandled by my daughters ex-boyfriend and we are trying to undo the barking - No Bark but is getting better slowly. I have put a deposit on a puppy coming in May so I have forgotten some of the fun times we had with Oliver as a puppy. Oh the 1st day we watched him he fell in our fish pond - it was awful!! So I tend to keep him away from water. I have loved watching Lord Cannon - and look forward to next week. Thank you for putting together the videos and Pros and Cons of the week!!

He is doing sooo well! Harley is right there with the exact same issues although we ignore his whining when he is left alone until he is quiet for for than 5 mins then I will go in and calmly reward him - I never make a huge fuss when I enter the kitchen as that makes him miss me more. I feel cruel but it works 🐾 we also have a neighbor who lets her jack Russell have some off lead running around time together and that’s great to watch and it makes him super tired too x

My Wirehaired Vizsla puppy also struggles with being alone.
Mine is 14 weeks old now.
An I feel it is hard to teach him to be alone, because of corona and all, I almost never leave the house.
What I am trying out rigtht now is to tell him I am going to leave, put on my jacket and shoes, feed him and leave. Then return before he finishes his food/chewing bone, and return before he wimpers.
So far we have agreed upon 10 minutes of alone time.
Still a looooooong way from the 8 hours he will have to be alone when everything opens up again...
I think it is hard, but keep at it!

Hi ,another great video, I think you and LC are doing great. I especially think that now that Bentley the Vizsla landed on us nearly two weeks ago, which is the last time we slept🤯😱 in every other way he is better than expectations. But the nightime separation anxiety crate problems are off the scale. We have tried all methods known to mankind but he just barks whines cries all night and gets himself into such a stressed state that you feel like the worst owner in the world ive had 2 previous dogs with no problems so I'm relatively experienced . Anyway sleep is overrated 😴🤣🤣

Hey guys. He's so great! I've been having problems with my GSP over the last few days. Don't know what's going on with her, but she's constantly disobeying and ignoring me, she also tries to do things she knows she can't all the time and repeats doing so even when shown not to. During the walks she becomes hyperactive, cannot focus at all and I can see that there are simply too many impulses around for her to process (cars, people on the sidewalk etc.). It's a bit better in the forest but in her curent state of mind I'm a bit afraid to take her and let her loose. Do you guys have some sort of advice because I know you had problems with Cannon as well.
