Lovely to see what Lord Cannon has been up to this week. Our lab pup seems to get just as frustrated on her lead and it can take a while to stop her grabbing the lead. I think it is that we are expecting more from her now she is 7 months and she maybe gets more tired than we realise with the training.
Our Vizlaboy is almost 10 month old and is maybe the the Siamese twin of Lord Cannon- so energetic, so friendly, so exhausting. But it is getting netter... Bronco is already our third Vizsla and I can assure you- when you are looking for the best friend and Partner- a vizsla is the perfect choice....after you have chosen the best husband 😉. Keep on enjoing Young Lord Cannon, I am looking forward to your next video.
@@LordCannonTheVizsla are you giving him some natural beef rumen as snacks? They stink like hell but apparently they're pretty good for dog's digestive system with all the helpful bacteria. It might not even be that his kibble lacks some nutrients, most premium dry foods are pretty well balanced. If it's a big issue you could consult a vet, maybe a dog diet specialist as well. The source I was referring to mentioned that she enriched the diet with beef rumen and some probiotics (plus the dog went on BARF diet) and the problem disappeared.
it might be the dead bodies under the decking he smells LOL. Try something for fun and film it....give him a raw egg (good for them) and see how gentle he will be with it. Looking forward to see it!
Hey guys! Awww LC is looking so handsome and doing so so well! I have another question - where did you buy his harness and what size did you go for as we’ve bought two so far and none of them fit him properly, he’s about the same size as LC
rabbitgoo No Pull Dog Harness... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M6YASY1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is the one we have and he wears a size medium. Hope that helps. 😊🐾🐾
Ofc Viszlas are hyperenergetic and he's a puppy so the behaviour is normal. However, you have to be much more dominant in your energy and show that you are the alpha, without getting physical. I suggest to start with the basics so position yourself as the dominant person, since the dog doesn't view you this way (yet). You can start going lower with your body (just like your kneeling), dropping food, items etc. on the floor, and bending over the item. Now you must stay calm, no smiling, no facial expression but showing dominance that any item is off limit unless you say so. Now he will most likely still try to get it, which again is a sign for no respect, therefore this step is very important: You push the dog fast(!!!) and with more energy from his chest away to signal this is your territory. Not a slight push but more energetic as if you're fed up with him. However, your body language needs to show calmness. (wide chest, strong will). Dogs understand body language much better so use that in your favour. Repeat this until he stops trying to get the item and then ignore him until he calms down. When he calms down you can pet him. Do not show too much affection. This is still a dog and not a human and a lot of unexperienced dog owners humanize their dogs, which leads automatically to disrespectful behaviour. When he trashes the poop bags, you have to get into the spot and push him away showing that it is your bag. Please do not repeat "stop" 20 times. Use your body language. If he throws a tantrum you have to ignore him until he calms down. Be consistent or go to dog training. Keep in mind that 9/10 its the humans wrong signals that leads to this behaviour. I seriously love the extra work you are doing. keep going!
@@LordCannonTheVizsla just be careful for him not to get a wrong idea, meaning "I bite the leash, I get to play with momma". What I'd do would be to stop, ask him to stop biting the leash and then to sit and only then play with him (as a reward for a proper behaviour not for biting the leash).
Congratulations! The best thing that helped us when LC was younger was to get a playpen and when he was biting really bad we would put him in there with a Kong. Lots of chews helped, yak chews and spilt deer antlers and Kong bears. Also making sure she has lots of sleep as we found the biting was worse when he was tired. 😊🐾
Every one of your videos start with "we've had an OK week this week, haven't we?" lol We're at week 6 with ours (14 weeks old) so we can relate to you guys 1000%, but it somewhat lacked commentary this time round :D He looks soooo mature now! When he stole the treat bag from your pocket and you tried to get it back, did he growl / or tried to run away with it? Does he have resource guarding issues at all? Hiding the ball at the end was hilarious :D Cheers!
I know, I think we may have to start doing monthly videos instead of weekly so we don’t keep saying the same thing! Yes he tried to run away with it, you have to trick him to get it back! He doesn’t have any guarding issues, you could take his dinner away from him halfway through and he wouldn’t mind at all. Although the noises he makes when he is excited to see you sounds like he is a Rottweiler 😂😂
@@unbearabull sorry I see, I think if you would have asked me that question six weeks ago I would have said no but now that it’s got easier he is so much fun. Even though it’s still hard work there is never a dull moment. 😊🐾
OMGosh your fantastic parents he’s a very happy pup.
Thank you 🥰
I appreciate this is an old clip but the reaction to blowing on him is wonderful … our Vizsla puppy (“Bruyne”) is only 4 months old and I can relate …
New LC video - the best moment in the whole week. Happy Easter guys! :D
Thank you! Happy Easter 🐣 😊🐾
Hes growing into a beautiful dog 🥰
Thank you! 😊🐾🐾
Omg! I have seen many energetic dogs in my life. But that's a whole another level!!
For sure, he has more energy than a can of red bull lol. 🤣🐾
He's a smashing puppy, thinks everything is a game!
Thank you, yes absolutely! 😊🐾

I’m glad to hear that things will get better! He is hard work sometimes, well actually most days! 😂🐾🐾
Happy Easter!!!🐰🐥🐣
Happy Easter 🐣 🐾🐾
Regarding poop eating, I've read that a lot of dogs stop eating it when they go on a well-balanced BARF diet. It's quite a bit of work, though.
That’s what I was thinking, maybe he is not getting the right nutrients. 🐾

Great, he has caught us out. I wrapped them up really good too! 😂😂
I’ve seen the raw egg trick, I will try that for sure. Happy Easter 🐣 🐾
They are not called Velcro dogs for nothing and have no qualms about invading your personal space. Vizla are amazing dogs

Great video! Do you know what makes him frustrated and bite the leash?
I have tried to figure out what triggers him to do it but it’s so random. 😬🐾🐾
@@LordCannonTheVizsla do let us know if you get to the bottom of it! Have you tried distracting him with a stick or a toy when he has a tantrum?
@@Tinyturtletami I haven’t tried a toy but that’s a good idea, I shall take one with me. 😊🐾

Looks like he is searching for a purpose on his walks. Again, he’s a hunting dog so he may need a job to do to stop him fixating on the negative stuff
Honestly, if you could go back.... Would you?
