      Space has two meanings in overwatch, i am comparing lol to ow bcs i played a lot of it, the literal one, how much area your team has control over, and a more abstract one, how much atention you or your enemies are puting in that area, thats why is so confusing, sometimes a zed in the outside of the fight creates more pressure than being in the fight
      Counter intuitively when you have uncertainty and need to dissipate your atention, like in the akali case, you get less value from space
      Also, tempo is first move advantage or the ability to keep it

    The other important thing to ask yourself before fighting is “why?”. Are you fighting for a drake? For a baron? For lane pressure? For xp advantage? Once you start questioning yourself you will improve massively

      This is huge actually, its a junglers job to tell his team to disengage since he is keeping watch on the objectives the most. Numerous times I sneak dragon and people rotate to at least get a kill or 2 for it and I just run away, and as they are duking it out I sneak herald. Only works if the enemies a d your own team are clueless about macro.

    minion strength also plays a big role in the comeback mechanic as well. just saying, that's what it is: killing the enemy champions provides space: ie to push the nexus. Having strong turrets/minions on both sides of the board is supposed to provide space to come back after both getting kills and getting killed.

    The crazy thing about watching this video is that fully gave me an advice on how to finish the campaign on warcraft since i had no idea really how to visualize the best way to position all of my troops, even though i knew how to do it on league of legends... But that example of the chivalry coming from behind and etc... Always just select everyone and attack one targer... when what i really should be doing is fully to organize how they position to walk togehter etc... geez never thought about that! dont even know why...

    just wanted to say it's cool to see some better understanding of the game in general. IDK if yall took anything I've said to heart in the past, but this guide does remind me of a few things I've said on the channel. Particularly, "the other lanes exist solely to create space for me to carry". Another good one is "The comeback mechanic was originally killing the enemy heroes/champions". One of the main reasons it's so hard to come back in this game is because the turrets are so flimsy, easily destroyed, misplaced, severely low attack speed, and extremely low range. If you truly understand how killing the enemy champions is "the only real comeback mechanic in a moba", you'd know how the strength of turrets directly ties into keeping this mechanic in check.

    I played a game once as trist oin mid. Our team had loist the early game and I wa the only fed member. My shot-calling and macro managed to get us to a good level by the time in the game where it became really hard to make plays without having huge fights. So, in these fights I did the typical tristana thing, of engaging out of possition enemies, and hitting the rest from far away. The problem was the enemy blitzcrank was really good at holding his abilities because he was the only real peal for the eney carries. And he was deadly with his hooks. So everytime I engaged, I needed to make sure I could one-shot an enemy carry, so our adc was the major source of dmag in the rest of the fight. Basically, the blitz made me die 9 times in that game after going 8/2 in lane, I ended with 12/11.

It´s true he´s team is abit behind but as he died Kayle was within range to use her ult on him. We cant se if her ult was ready then but at 05:34 she has both her own ult and Zilian ult on herself so Kayle could have saved Jarvan before he died and by that point Zilian would be in range for he´s ulti saving Jarvan again. It brings up the question of how mutch should u trust your team. But considering that they hade 2 death saving ultimates on there team i am gonna go ahead and agree with Jarvan´s aggresive move here.

    Can we get a list of champs categorized by if they are engage, disengage or poke? It's sometimes hard to tell. Like, Tristana is obviously engage. But what about Lee Sin? He could go right in and kick someone into his team as engage but he could also disengage in a similar manner and his shields help with that as well. This would be super helpful to have! Even if it's only for paid subscribers, I'd love to have it.

    • @Masterpouya
      @Masterpouya 2 роки тому

      When you can't say for sure, it mostly mean --> they can adapt to the situation.
      Lee can be an engage (insec ; all-in) as well as a disengage (R a diver out ; shields etc.).

    • @miki_mochi
      @miki_mochi 2 роки тому

      @@Masterpouya Yeah, often they can do more than one thing but knowing what they primarily want to do is good. Like, Malphite is primarily engage as they said but he could be used as disengage too. Would Lee Sin rather be engage or disengage? I'm not too sure.

    • @Speedy-Rabbit
      @Speedy-Rabbit 2 роки тому

      @@miki_mochi as a lee sin one trick, the question you should be asking yourself is if it's more valuable for you to use kick to find picks on enemy carries, in which case you're engage, or to use kick as peel for your own carries, in which case you're disengage. it depends more on how strong your own carries are, and how strong the enemy carries are. if you already win front to back teamfights, then peeling is all u need to do, but if u dont, then u need to find a flank and get an engage kick on a priority target

      1- not join the teamfight at all
      2- take the long way wasting a lot of time
      3- go past you and take a lot of damage or die

    One thing that has helped me improve a ton is being aware of what job my champion has in a teamfight. A malphite has a different job than a Jinx and a jinx has a different job than an Akali. So being aware of your job is one thing and executing is the other. As a tank main I had massive difficulties doing teamfights while playing other roles. Not because I was mispositioning, but simply because as tank main I was used to attack the first thing in sight and stick to it until the fight was won or lost, but this exactly is the worst thing to do in any other role.
    Here are a few roles and their actual jobs in teamfights:
    Tanks: Engage, cc, create chaos and allow your team to put the mayham in their favor.
    Bruisers: Engage, Frontline, but with the enhanced job of dealing dmg to certain carries like other bruisers or midlaners
    Assasin: Flank, dont engage with team, but look for flanks to kill the enemy backline and the backline only (ignore tanks and other frontliners)
    Supp: Either set up engage as tank or protect your backline as enchanter from said assasins
    Jungle, and this is important, front line: Yes, BUT no hard engage, your death can result in enemy taking baron or other important jgl obj. Treat yourself as the mvp if you want and treat engages with care. Your whole team dead but yourself alive for potential baron steal/ deny is always better than your whole team alive with you dead.

    what category Garen is?
    Can't be a poke champ for obvious reason.
    Can't be an engager because he is so slow + no hard CC.
    Don't think he can be a disengager since he has nothing to dissuate the engager + he is the only juggernaut who struggle vs frontliner
    Okay he has his W but that nothing compare to a braum or an orianna.
    so I'm curious.

    • @ggpt9641
      @ggpt9641 2 роки тому

      While not super strong, there'd be some elements of Engage/disengage for Garen. Sometimes, you'll engage by being fed and catching people, and other times you'll dissuade engagers from engaging by silencing and doing a lot of damage.
      Also part of why Garen enjoys split pushing or skirmishes. But using Q and W wisely determines how you play a teamfight, if you do.

      Sure he is. He is a mix of engage and disengage. His Q pulls in enemies and his E can also keep people from escaping. Teammates can use the lantern to enter a fight. His abilities can be used as peel or engage.

      Thresh is versatile. He can act as primary engage if needed.

    8:20. Actually these are some pictures during sieging, they sent trebuchets in front of soldiers to attack enemy's castle since trebuchets can hit the castle before archer in the castle hit them.

    And remember, akali can do the same job as a juggernaut engaging the enemy but better, cause she can oneshot all your back lane and then scape with one of her completely balanced 10 dashes
