Watched this 25 minutes after you posted it, middle of th night here in France. Couldn't sleep. Echoing what kearnesy said. Good to have time to yourself. The freedom to wander that lovely countryside is a very valuable one. How lucky are you! Disappointing that you didn't get any dogs but, next time.
I grew up around dairy cattle as a young boy and always thought they are smarter than the average bear! Your clip shows how clever cattle really are seeing the sets! 🤓❤️
Every Dog has it's day (or night) but this just wasn't one of them. At least you got a Moggy. Thanks for another great video. I really enjoy watching the good work that you do.
Absolutely another beautiful sharing adventure and lovely filming footage of camera work and as always great video .. thanks again and have a wonderful blessing weekend ..
The pussycat went to pieces with the wedgetail, that was awsum. The pretty face wallabies are a premier species, nice to see you looking after them josh.
Your'e a game man Josh, I saw you brush something off the tongue of that set trap with your thumb. I know it was the catch side of the pan but......... Cheers mate keep up the vids, really appreciate the humour.
Another enjoyable vid, luv your approach to doing things, and your patience. Think you saw Starlink satalite train. T'wife and I saw them whilst laid out star watching last summer. Big Steve, E. Yorks., England.
Thanks Josh, good to be along with you. I felt quite chilled out after watching it. Even though there wasn’t much doin, it’s still the best office in the world 👍
Saw similar string of lights twice so far .Both early morning just before dawn.No way were they satellites.Could not have been higher than a few hundred meters.Moving slow and steady. All white lights in a straight line.No noise.First time out in Moreton Bay Qld,the second time above my house in Deception Bay Qld.
Saw the same lights other side of Tasman last spring 3am one morning. Good to know it wasn't an amoeba on tour in the brain. LIve trapping very different predators occasionally, seems the efficiency of aussie dogging might be improved. Particularly if working places exclusively for an extended period. Not having traps checked out by whatever doesn't mean the opposition isn't there. Cattle are pests at times, particularly females & yearlings. Once used to traps (set stocking) that seemed to disappear. Working out a pellet bait with fat in the inside (so it sticks in the mouth) is the sort of thing that might help. After a couple of inadvertent feeds of meat they might be more cooperative. Off their travel tracks makes sense, I set them backed into corners, but don't need to conceal them often.
I shoot roos for a living in Western Australian outback ..I’ve been seeing heaps of weird lights in the sky early hours of the mornings..hovering lights ..especially the last few months
I had been on a few blocks like that detecting looking up seen a dog no more than 130m away just looking at me must be sound from detector nice creek be a good one to probe. Cheers for video.
More great work Josh. The .308 vs tomcat reminded me of my most recent and so far most successful trip where I was looking for boars and dogs and got my first (and so far only) fox and cat and some rabbits and hares with 64 power points and my old 7615. The farm dogs were not impressed with what was left of the hares and rabbits I hope the fast twist target/hunting replacement I picked up today works just as well as your rifles. I'm sorry I'm unable to help with patreon and merchandise at the moment.
I wonder how confused the dogs would be if you got your hands on some coyote urine? A few years ago I had a fella tell me there's no rabbits in Queensland. I found this to be a bit of a shock, as I made a fair bit of money as a kid, trapping rabbits and selling the carcasses and pelts in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane. He must be right though, because he's about 20 years older than me. ;)
HI Josh, I’m a hunter, just like you! I think that laughing after you have killed something is a little immature. Also mate, you need to type up subtitles on your videos, as it’s almost impossible to understand you…..
I saw the starlink several months ago and thought it was the end of days. Ha Ha
Haha they are certainly a weird sight.
"Sorry mate. Out of bullets" 🤣 Kick!
“Kitty”… BANG!!! (308… it makes them stop) 😂

Glad you enjoyed it mate. Yes I am blessed to have the life I’ve been given.
Yes there is always a next time.
Your reputation preceded you Josh. The dogs heard you were coming so they buggered off 😂👍
Haha maybe I should quit UA-cam so they don’t know what I’m doing 🫣😉😂
The elusive black panther! U beauty, well done! 😂

I love your shooting vids but the trapping is another skill which I really enjoy, PS your new 308 is very nice, as is the little Ruger!
Yes well I’m doing a trapping run here at home atm and got one this morning 👌
I had been on a few blocks like that detecting looking up seen a dog no more than 130m away just looking at me must be sound from detector nice creek be a good one to probe. Cheers for video.
Thank you for the sub mate!
No worries mate. You do a great job with your videos. They are engaging and good to watch and look very professional! 👌👊

All good mate. Every view on UA-cam helps me out. 👍. What rifle did you pick up?
A Howa Mini Action which doesn't affect recent problems connected to my disability the way the pump Action did.
Ps ya need a speaker set up 150m out with house dogs barking works a treat. Few on the market could be worth a look.
Good one mate👍👍👍👍👍
Next time Josh, still a good watch mate.
Thanks mate. Yes there is always a chance next time. 👌
Love the reality that is real. Good to get the cat.
It's the bad days that make the good days feel all that little bit sweeter.
👍
Have you thought about an electric quad?
@@rodlister3098 I’d love one and thought about building one but I don’t have the time of the money.
very cool UFO footage 😂 Least you gave the dogs a go
Is that bike electric. ?? It sure is quiet. What make is it.
no it is a Yamaha grizzly 700. I did have a Toyota Corolla muffler on it.
Im sure it was good to get away for a couple days
Yes but I didn’t get much sleep and was good to get home. Need a week at least to do a proper job.
I wonder how confused the dogs would be if you got your hands on some coyote urine?

Haha well I can assure you he is wrong as I saw some just last night here.
I remember doing that as a kid playing rabbit soccer fun as
Good old Starlink
at least you got red Ears
starlink is in low orbit about 92 kilometres above the ground I believe
Even an unsuccessful hunting trip still beats work I guess.
Haha but I do enjoy my work.
I watched this last night did you repost it. It was in you trapping playlist
Maybe it can be viewed in my playlists before I make them public.
What is your ear protection ?
He did a video on ear plugs a few weeks ago. Should be easy to find if you search his channel. Hope this helps.
DIY custom mould plugs off ebay
missed it
thank you

Those callers are the worst things I've ever heard. Unlucky you can't shoot what you don't see, but you gave it your best effort.
They account for a lot of dogs, cats and foxes.
They do actually work quite well mate.
What you saw in the sky are starlink satellite. From Lyn.
Yep👍
New satellite configurations
Starlink
Starlink satelites
Them lights = Elon
panning the scenery too fast is very hard on the viewer
Yes well I just had the camera on my head as I rode around and often focused on what I was doing not the camera.
So you've been tasked with thinning dogs out but you're shooting rabbits and probably alerting the dogs at the same time and spooking them🤔
guess i spoke too soon
looks like elon musk satellites
Starlink,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Yep
splat a cat is better than nothing
had to turn this off...boring..the others are much better
