Absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage and you doing such an amazing work .. super awesome super amazing great job Josh !! ..
Hi guys, when you’re doing that howling my two kelpies are looking around crazy thinking where the hell is that coming from they even went outside to look keep up the good work. Good to see you have a banging a few on the head Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
My heart was pounding watching the setting of the trap….spanning both jaws with your hand I honestly was waiting for the SNAP! I know you are much more experienced than most and especially me but just watching had me on edge. Great video Josh and thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate. Haha I still respect the traps but don’t fear them as I know how sensitive they are. You just have to always be mindful where you can and can’t put pressure.
A rectangular block of wood or hard plastic to use under the curve in the pinch bar would help reduce the bar being levered into the ground when extracting the peg. About 20mm thick, and maybe 75 x 150 should do it, or be a start to test what works best anyway. Would be interesting if all were young dogs
What a productive seven days. Well done to both of you. Have been away for ten days and didn't take my electronic devices with me. Started having withdrawal symptoms, frightened that I'd miss your vids. The best pick me up on my return. Thanks Josh.
Haha they won’t go anywhere 😉 It’s good to be able to go without electronic devices occasionally. It’s so easy to start relying on them for everything and then not know what to do when we don’t have them.
Very productive trapping all those wild dogs. It seems a good year for dogs breeding and by keeping a check on trapping is keeping them under control. The dogs are looking quite thin but suppose that's normal anyway, great video Josh!
Yes pretty much everyone I’ve talked to that have dogs about have said that they seem to have exploded in numbers this year. They are usually pretty skinny here.
Good Job! BTW, what do you do with all those scalps? And for pulling those stakes out, maybe you could manufacture a kind of sliding hammer. Keep up the good work!
But all it is, is a bit of heavy rebar with two heavy prongs welded on the bottom to go under the stake head and a bit of flat bar welded on the back to stop it pressing into the ground as easily. I then just have another bit of 1/2” plate with a hole in one end that slips over the rebar handle and just gives me more leverage to pull the stake out enough to get by hand.
Thanks for another great video Josh. Great shooting from both of you. Can I ask what twist and pills Ben is using in his.223? Keep up the good work you blokes. Regards Mark from Redlands.
Didn't even go through you said . At 20m it would have been doing around 2800 fps and exited about twice the size of the entry wound if that . Why was the offside front leg disjointed when you turned the dog over to look for the exit wound ? It went through all right . I use those projectiles in my 308 .
Haha no it didn’t go through because there was no exit wound and when I scalped it I cut the skin open in the front and the projectile had stopped at the skin and I found it. I think I even kept it. I was very surprised too. But must have hit enough bone and stuff and made a terrible mess internally but didn’t exit! 🤷 and to prove it I’ll put a photo of the projectile I found in it on a post on my community tab on UA-cam so you can see it. 😉👍

Yes he was very happy
A double!! Good work fella 🤓
Thanks 👍
7 dogs out of the system mate, well done. That should make a difference.
Yes it has. But there are still at least 2 getting around still. But it’s been too wet to put traps in again yet.
Outstanding work.....A doubler to boot...I would have thought the 308 would have blown the bandit in half!! LOL
Haha yes I was expecting a big hole at least on the other side.
Another enjoyable vid, the area looks beautiful. Do you ever feel like taking a dip in the dam.
@@petelumley1578 sometimes. But I’m not a big fan of swimming.
Those dogs would be hard to see against that terrain.
What a great trapping week.
Yes when the grass gets that golden colour they camouflage very well.
Great shooting mate

I cash the scalps in at my local council. I thought about suing a slid hammer once but didn't want to carry the extra weight. this one works good. 👍
Ripper video!
Thanks mate.
were these caught in the traps you set up in the tutorial video a few days earlier?
the one on the drag was. the fist one in the tutorial video didn't catch any.
@@intothenight1993 that's awesome!
Holy shit nice work mate.
Josh can u please make a video on your stake puller I like the design and would to make one
I think I showed it near the end of my last video. The Trapping Tutorial one.

@@Tom.Brown.43 no worries mate. 👍 hope it made sense?
Listening to those Australian Maned ducks/Maned Geese at about 12. secs reminded me of how good they taste ;)
See the big lon screws put them in like ya got but with drill no bang bang when first put in no noise.
And take out with drill no puller needed. Super fast.

Hi Mark.
Ben’s Oceania Precision SP15 has a 16” Swan barrel with a 1:9 RH twist. He was using my reloads with 55gr Hornady Soft points.
Hey Josh, that seems to be a bit of a hot spot we're you got those 2 dogs

Good job Josh n Ben, mate you will put Clark to shame 6 dogs in 7 nights with 7 traps .
Haha Clark has a lot more experience than me.
Forgot your four legged buddies
No I usually only take him when I’m setting the traps here.
And I ran over the other new pup a few months ago so we only have the one dog now.
Ever take a cane pole or a long stick with a bait on it, stick in the ground over the trap?
No
that's cleaning them up . l got 3 to get l thing
You’re doing a good job mate. Keep into them 👍
I think csa 350mm screws.
I’ll look them up

Would be nice to have a windscreen on a remote microphone so there is not wind noise
Haha yes I did but the lead wast plugged into the camera properly so it only recorded from the camera mic 🫣sometimes it happens.
lot of BUG Grease on windshield
Lucky I’ve never got much to do and have plenty of time to clean it 😉
G'day mate... Dog's r a mix breed and a Dingo is pure breed?
A dog is what we call a male and a bitch is a female
You feel the need to get technical a dog is a male canine.
@@davidmcmullen4864 😆
@ezrabrook3993 Dingos are just another breed of dog. They can and do crossbreed with other dogs.
