Now we just need an appearance of a guy who won't stop unloading his van during an interview
jeez this is so accurate
Stolen from John mullaney
Dan I don’t think it was stolen from John Mulaney so much as a reference to him.
And the bartender
As John Mulaney would say,
Yeah there’s been a murder but he’s gotta unload that van.
I hate when people can’t take a joke and start bleeding. 🙄
beth thompson IT'S JUST A PRANK BRO!!!! STOP SCREAMING CALL 911, JEEZE!!
Liberals these days
They take it the wrong way
Snowflakes
I know right! Like what a buzzkill.
“But Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding”
Dead 😂
And Logan
Slay. The Series See what ya did there.
Taylor Hensel so was Logan
Litterally! :Ded:
So's Logan
"We went to a big alcohol party." 😂
I don't think she was just looking at that girl's BF in the hot tub
AND DRINK BEER FROM A BEER KEG OK!!!!
everyone knows alcohol parties ALWAYS lead to murder... or puking...
This clip reminds me of all the “big alcohol” parties I used to go to. Good times.
@@IRex-wm9pd Or "sex parties"....
"Oh...yeah...that's right. I remember now." SO ACCURATE SO GOOD
Jimmy Wise The music is so off though. They were close.
Is this like a famous sentence or what?
True lol
Mateusz Parus Just a classic line each episode when the “innocent” person suddenly realizes she knows way more than she said at first. It’s usually the recognizable celebrity.
The way she said it sounded like a voice over for a game character.
Michael Chey's bad cop with the toothpick added a ton to this bit.
Cole Cossette "Che"
“Your partner’s crazy!”
Loved that part too... and the other comments.
@@jojopemb2218 probably spell check did that
Che had to look at a cue card for the latter half of one short sentence
She nailed it 😂
no, she stabbed it
she's really good
Hey, it's Eric! Love your voice lessons man!
So good!
She was amazing
"The worst crime of all was being a bad friend. No the worst crime was murder." LOL
That's such a Norm Macdonald response too lol
Melissa FINALLY got a weekend update character!!!!!
Collin McClellan it was worth the wait! This has been a long time coming!
Gabriel I know! Maybe this is the start of a lot of new characters for her!
Every SNL player dreams about their breakout character, if they ever are lucky enough to have one. This is could be it!!! Big Melissa V fan, wishing her the best.
I know! I really hope she gets more screen time!
Colin McClellan It's about time.
I want to see a mystery series starring Colin and Michael. They're not detectives or anything, they just keep solving murders by complete accident.
That's a good plot for a show. Comedy mystery. Just stumbling upon crimes at random occurrence and solving it by sheer luck every time.
I really, REALLY like this idea. Especially for them. They're hilarious together.
Omg, write it!
So, Psyche?

"They dared me to stab her, but just as a joke. So I stabbed her! But Logan took it the wrong way & started bleeding!"
As a 'Law & Order' fan, Kudos!
I'm British. I've never visited the US, or read any YA Fiction. But I've probably seen almost every 'Law & Order' episode, in its many variations! As such, I'm pretty damn confident in asserting this perfectly embodied 'Every Teen Girl Murder Suspect on Law & Order' 100% accurately!
My favourite Law & Order spin-off, 'Criminal Intent' (featuring the exceptional Vincent D'Onofrio's 'Bobby Goren') was my very fist introduction to Stephen Colbert! He starred in an episode as a master forger/murderer! His performance was seriously dramatically AWESOME! I had no idea of his usually comedic persona, way back then!
Alas, a side-effect of my annoyingly extensive 'L&O' knowledge means I perpetually annoy friends & family when watching virtually ANY US movie/TV series, as practically ALL of them feature (at the bare minimum) several actors who've appeared in L&O, & I simply cannot constrain myself from volubly sharing that fact with everyone present (Sorry!).
Melissa's TV teen chick accent was PERFECT
Agreed she has stepped up her comedy game. Loving it
@@alc727 more like she was finally given the chance to do something
These SNL skits about dizzy women are scary for some sort of late Roman Empire oman. Seriously ominous.
Melissa’s everything accent is perfect lol
i feel sobaddabouddiitt
"I stabbed her, but just as a joke"
She took it too seriously and started bleeding. O.o
Anthony Ellis THE NERVE 😂😂😂
But Logan HAD to just take it the wrong way and start bleeding. God, Logan ruins all the fun!
Yep seems like people value jokes over being kind and decent
I've been an assistant director on about 20 Lifetime movies. This sketch gave me PTSD.
Bummer
I bet, ROFL.
The movies didn't?
I suppose if I had made the mistake of watching them...
Good job!
“But Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding” is one of the best lines in SNL
Some people are so sensitive.
Melissa is so underrated. So glad she’s finally getting more screen time.
i hope they write her some singing impressions/characters, she's so good :)
Me, too
I don't agree or disagree...but how do you determine that she's underrated? What criteria are you using to make that call? I have watched some.of her old stand up recently and i believe it to be funny. The impersonations are pretty good also. Imo
She’s awesome!
nick turner she’s underused on the show is what they mean lol she rarely gets a chance for a standout/stand alone character in any sketch
Law and order girl would make a excellent callback character. She nailed that one.
ikr. I can't believe she's not a recurring character!
Making her a recurring character would mean actually letting Melissa Villasenor do something more than 4 times a year.
She could be “ protecing guilty parent”, “ standing up for clearly guily boyfriend,” “ digging a deep hole for herself by hiding a relatively minor crime”, etc.
Was thinking that just now
@@kellyalves756 Nice! Those are all good ideas!!!!!
Also, she sounds like every female character on Riverdale.
I disagree, it's not bonkers enough.
It needs to be, like, 30% more cuckoo bananas for it to work, Daddy.
I've been meaning to watch that show. It's been near the top of my list, just haven't gotten to it.
Aaron James you are in for a ride then
@@aaronjames5276 heres advice,
watch only season 1 if you want a genuinely interesting plot
watch the rest if you want trash that you can laugh at
Dark Betty...oof.
She absolutely killed this skit! That was perfect!
Like she killed her friend Logan??
@@ynysafalonKinda yeah...
when the law and order credits popped up i lost it
no. it happens WAAAY too often in parodies. I've never seen the show. Not even once. But I have seen that outro maybe a thousand times.
ONE THOUSAND TIMES.
I died lolol
Roy G Biv NO IT’S NOT RAINBOW
@Roy G Biv WELL, AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF FURTHER. THANKS FOR BEING SO UNDERSTANDING.
Have you managed to find it, now that it's a year later?
That acting is SO ACCURATE!! 🤣 all the pauses 👌🏼
Every face she made, the delivery of the lines. She really was 100% spot on with this
L&O has weirdly unnatural dialogue delivery
The way more and more information got revealed with every question. And the way she led into more information with, "Alright FINE!"
I love Colins exasperated, "partner?! This was supposed to be about books!"
1:29 They even go that sudden “reveal” of the teen girl being a closet psychopath down. Law and Order can’t do subtlety
Law & Order isn't really supposed to be subtle. Or at least that's not one of its major traits. It plays way more on emotions and ideas and sometimes it's subtle, but mostly it's supposed to hit you over the head with it.
It is so fascinating how talented she is and the insane range she has yet her normal voice sounds someone eating toast.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
I love toast.
Specifically toast 😂
Check her instagram story, she posted this comment on there 😂😂😍
Max Kane unfortunately I missed it.
Watchie - I always thought her normal voice sounded like Kermit the Frog, but "someone eating toast" is a much better description. Nailed it!
Melissa's delivery always feels so polished. Wish she was in more sketches.
i love that this is an actual episode on law and order svu haha season 5 episode 17
This is honestly the first time I've seen this bit. It's alright, I guess. OK FINE! I saw this live and I just came back to watch it just this once because I missed it earlier. That's it. OK FINE! I've seen this bit a couple times because I'm a diehard fan of Law & Order and I'll watch anything related. That's it, ok? OK FINE! I have this on a playlist and I watch this everyday for Melissa and it's unhealthy how much I keep watching.
That's it,okay?!
Damn it Eddie! I'm tired of your damn lies. Tell the truth! You helped Britanny stab Logan, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU!?!
Your partner's crazy!
You're guilty of the worst kind of crime, lying on a UA-cam comment. That, and murder. But mostly the lying on a UA-cam comment.
Laughed so damn loud at this comment
I was so glad Melissa got a chance to play another character and it was awesome.
We couldn't agree more!
Go Melissa!!! All the face expressions-boy she is incredible!!
The way she jerks her face to the right before she says, "I don't have to tell you anything" kills me as just one excellent sample from this sketch. I think I'm pretty damn funny, but that's the kind of amazing acting skills she has that I (and I think most comedians) could never come up with. I'm not some great judge of acting skills, but I love that Melissa combines this subtlety with comedy! Her talent is more than just her ability to tell a funny joke.
i got bored and stopped reading halfway through so im just gonna assume i agree
Very well said. I think her skills as an impersonator help her to get those subtleties.
"but she took it the wrong way and started bleading" great line! 😆👌
The best part of this was Michael Che and his emotion coming out of nowhere
BUt THaTs AlL We Did Ok!?
aMusINg... tHIs iS AmuSinG!
She sold the shit out of that!!! Amazing
She took it the wrong way and started bleeding 🤣🤣 😂🤣😂🤣🙃
This was HILARIOUS! But seriously, anyone remember Sarah Hyland’s performance on SVU?? That episode was crazy well performed! 🤯🤯👏👏
Yessss. I remember that episode. It was too good 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Felt bad for her.
LiLo did another great one
Tara Morin season 10 episode 12
What about when Stabler's daughter started getting fucked up, and he pulled a favor to get her out of trouble, only to have it come back to haunt him, by it being used against him during a very important case?
That was a good one. 😊
Thomas Henesey
😝 What a great synopsis! I got to find that episode now, it's been so long I don't remember all of it. Do you remember what season?
This was the most accurate depiction ever. This character is pure GOLD🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding!" Lmfao
"Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding." 😁😂
Melissa is so talented. I've been waiting to see her on Weekend Update! Go Melissa!
"But Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just fell off my bed🤣🤣🤣
Edit: OMG 200+ likes Thanks
Giddy Od
it's very lame to thank people for likes.
@@peacockfeathers7409 I know. But realizing that 300 people could relate and liked something I said, To me is something to be thankful for 😊
@@peacockfeathers7409 The worst is people who shame others for being genuinely polite and true to who they really are.
@@peacockfeathers7409 I said the same on other videos. it's like I'd like to thank my friends and family, my agent and my wife I COULDNT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU BABY! WE DID IT!
I nearly spit out my water when I heard that! Lol
“She treated me like ass.” I really need to work this more into everyday conversations.
Yeah, I love that line because it's decidedly NOT Law and Order... but it fits.
1:53 Micheal's bad cop killed me
MELISSA THAT KILLED
Accurate af lmao
“She took it the wrong way, and started bleeding”. Hahaha
'So I stabbed her, and Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding.'
Priceless
I'm so mad that she absolutely nailed this character and it never got brought back >.>
The opening and closing of her mouth everytime she doesn't say what she was going to is on point 😂
I hate it wheni stab people as a joke, and they take it the wrong way and start bleeding. So relatable.
Melissa made one of the best law and order episodes in less than 3 minutes. She’s so talented
I love how her name is spelled BRITTAINY
I stopped breathing this was SO funny!
Then it's a double murder!
@@BeeWhistler But that's all she did though, I swear!
What I love is that this was an actual L&O episode. Though none of them actually regretted it.
They even stole the dead friend's jewelry!
I was trying to keep it together and then: "alcohol party" 💀
Not just any alcohol party, Big Alcohol Party
she's REALLY good.
We agree!
Ok this is ironic! While watching this on UA-cam my wife was actually watching Law & Order on TV and a teen girl was confessing!! :D It was crazily accurate LOL
Villaseñor is breathtaking.
Please bring this character back
Whoa! It's the talented lady they never use!
Did John Mulaney write this?
I was just thinking this felt like a Mulaney sketch. Needs more Ice T being confused.
You know, when you start having too many cigarettes?
Jenifer Joseph Or like when you eat too much chocolate cake?
Or when you gamble your children's college funds away?
@@chrissiek8706 or like when someone bets the house away on the ponies?
“So I stabbed her but Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding” just gets to me every time
I lost it at 'Executive Producer Dick Wolf'
2:01
"Okay. Fine. They dared me to stab her, but just as a joke. So I stabbed her. But Logan took it the wrong way and started bleeding."
Melissa Villasenor is soooo underrated.
This is perfection.
Her acting is top shelf.... roller of her eyes...."that's it...ok!"
“That’s it ok!” Spot on 😂
Villaseñor is a gem
That's a lot of drama packed into 3 minutes!
Her acting is Superb.
The worst crime was being a bad friend
And Melissa Villasenor has fully proven her worth on SNL! Kudos!
4 more years!!!
I would have to put this in the top 25 in SNL history as the best comedy skit. Great ensemble work.
This bit makes me lmao everytime I watch it never gets old.
Melissa killed it. She was spot on!
“But Logan took it the wrong way and started BLEEDING” that has such Weird Al energy I love it
After that lawyer line I was waiting for Mulaney to wheel out in a mesh shirt.
"This was supposed to be about books".🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This sketch was such a ridiculously good idea, and the execution was perfect.
Melissa is so awesome! That was excellent! 👏
The highlight of the episode.
of the random episodes I tuned in with my parents as a kid watching Law & Order, I concur this is disturbingly accurate
Wow that was so spot on. Bravo teen murder suspect Villansenor!
So glad Melissa is getting more skits!!!
best Melissa character...almost fully committed.
Whoa, Melissa's plays this character perfectly- soo good! I wish they would do this character again.
PLEASE SNL bring this one back!! So freaking hilarious.
Ok, I have seen every episode ever aired of Law and Order SVU as my quarentine binge and I just gotta say..... I swear this was mocking a literal episode. Its tooo accurate.
Yeah I can’t remember the episode or season but something similar did happen in one
PLEASE put her in more sketches! She should dominate SNL
This queen's subjects have spoken. More Melissa now!
“That’s all we did.” Lol.
So true.. add on a little each time.
Wow, this role was made for her. Love the innocent “I know nothing” to the “I remember but that’s it” to the creepy “I’m happy he’s dead” look. Brilliant!
Mellissa is so good! They need to give her more opportunities please!
Her talent has NO end. What a star.
Glad they finally gave Melissa a character hat works for her! She’s hilarious!
She’s soooo good at this! NAILED IT!
I love how the Dick Wolf meme made it on here. And I loved the line “They told me to stab her. But just as a joke” that was the best one imo 😂
Genius! Melissa is an icon
OK. I admit t! Just leave me alone! You're so mean!
Seriously, as someone who has spent way, way, way too much time watching, and re-watching, and re-re-re-re-watching practically every episode of "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" -- no, seriously, I wouldn't even want to try and imagine how many hours -- it's SO accurate. That was beautiful. :)
I'm back to comment on this video again. Mellisa Viasenor should win an award for this. She's brilliant in this. The writing is excellent too.
I was going to comment EXACTLY the way you did -- commend the writing AND the performance. So glad you wrote it first -- yesterday. 😁👍❤
So perfectly on point
