Cecily is the strongest cast member. She's so versatile, almost never breaks, and is hilarious.
Rare occasions she does break, it just makes it funnier and adds to her adorableness!

SNL will never be the same after losing all the best female cast members in 2022!!! Cecily’s farewell (Blue Christmas) was the most moving goodbye I’ve ever seen on the show. And I thought I cried hard when Kate’s Ms. Rafferty finally joined the aliens… seeing Colin surprise her by actually singing and looking at her like their souls are forever bound together by friendship… I’ve never cried harder watching SNL in my life 😢

Cecily Strong is one of the greatest cast members SNL has ever had, in its history. It’s been rough the last 5 years or so, but she is an absolute standout. Versatile as hell.
When I started watching SNL clips on You Tube, I almost didn't notice her. Then it dawned on me it's because she is a good actress. She seems to inhabit her characters while seldom going over-the-top.
Imagine what she could have done with Belushi, Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase etc.😅

Does anyone even know how deep she has to dig for this? She is very bright, and yet she can somehow perfect the clueless woman role. She has great acting chops. Seth's reactions are also hilarious.
I personally think that intelligent, perceptive, and creative people feel frequently assailed and irritated by people like "the girl" and can't wait to parody them to scratch the itch.
The subtleties that go into this are perfect! Cecily consistently nails everything. She is such a huge talent.
