Thats just one of the reasons that if you didnt grow up in this era you've missed the best era of music,....period!
yeah, 80's were beast for rock music :D (and metal, another passion of mine). so proud to be kid of 80's :) .

So true.
Steelheart - I’ll never let you go is also a great song you’d like it as well as this one.
Also need to check out We All Die Young too .... fantastic show of what they can do and the prowess of vocalist Miljenko Matijevic, lead guitarist Chris Risola, rhythm guitarist Frank DiCostanzo, bassist James Ward and the now deceased drummer John Fowler (they are still going with a new drummer)
Facts...👊👍😎
I came here just to suggest "I'll never let you go."
I agree I'm not a huge hair metal guy "43" but I remember this band. But "angel eyes" probably best ballad of the 80's if not my top 5
Eileen
You need to check out "I'll Never Let You Go" by Steelheart
YES!!! Talk about chills when he sings!!
Yup, absolutely he must! Let's Go!
Yes!!
thanks for the recommendation, what a song.
YESSS
The unplugged version is a goosebumps machine. It's just him with a piano
Agreed!
You are right! No comparison
Dude!! The 80's had the most awesome vocals..and the most beautiful!
These guys, Bach, Rose,
and many more reached ranges that will never be again. No auto tune..etc etc..just sheer HEART and vocals like never will be again!! 80's 4ever!! ❤️❤️
the 80's!..
I’m so glad that you’re finally doing this song. It’s my most favorite song by Steelheart.
Manny Blackstar thank you for your reply. I’m so glad that I’m not alone. I hope you have a Rockin day 🤘
Manny Blackstar you are so very welcome and God bless you as well 🙏
Very underrated group!!!
I actually like this song better than “Never let you go”. They’re both great songs but this song just hits different. I really miss this music.
Geoffrey Laurentz I like it better too. I wish that the music of the 80’s Rock and Metal songs would become popular again. They were the best years of my life.
"I didn't think he was going to keep going up."
A fair description of Steelheart.
Steelheart is one of Metal's best kept secrets, a real hidden gem if you ever come across them. Amazing vocals and just pure glam awesomeness. They came out at a time when 80s metal was kinda dying down and Grunge started taking over, so they never really got their big break. Love the reaction :D Watch the live version too, highly recommended :D
Beautiful song but I’d never heard it🤩
If you want chills do "I'll never let you go" same group!!
was another song about the same girl!
I think this song shows his range show much better.
@@craiglortie8483 yes this one is a heart broken song after she dumped him.
Yes it's always a joy to watch people react to Miljenko Matijevic for the first time. That man had such an angelic voice and nobody could match his range back in the day. You should watch "Can't stop loving you" and "I'll never let you go" by Steelheart, two other awesome songs by them that really let Miljenko shine.
Also for the love of god if you want to see Miljenko at his absolute best range then watch Steelheart - Live in Hong Kong, CHN (1992) then skip to 04:18 to the song "Sheila". At the end of that song his voice goes up and through the stratosphere, he just keeps upping the game and goes higher and higher on each scream (with a B5 in the end), I hope you watch it and record your reaction your jaw will be on the floor I promise! ;) It's also a really entertaining song.
You are soooo right! I love their Live in Hong Kong!!! I wish I could be there!!! And my favorite, right after "She's gone" is also "Can't stop loving you"!! That videoclip is epic!
My jaw is on the floor Now😳wow unbelievably gorgeous voice
The only thing I would disagree about your statement is when you said he "had" such am angelic voice. He actually still has this same voice today and can still sing like this live today. He has taken care of his voice over the years unlike the other guys you mentioned. Nobody can touch his voice. Have you heard Axl sing recently? He can't carry a tune in a bucket anymore and he's considered the best singer of all time because Axl has vocal range that nobody else has. He can go from the lowest range on the register to the highest but he sounds terrible now. Mili still sounds great
@@cmsmith1973Axl Rose has the best Vocal Range while Mike Patton Laughs at him with his Higher range compared to Axl Rose Also Miljenko has the Same Range as Axl Rose since he can go Up in Octaves Axl Rose can like hit a C6 Same goes for Miljenko I believe there was like an interview that he can
Also Sebastian Bach from Skid Row is up there to

The 80's spawned many underrated bands I was fortunate enough to be a teen during that decade and let me tell you, it was the best time of my life and it certainly was a way of life.
Right there with ya dude. It was the best arena era! I prefer the heavy stuff but you went to shows like this for the chicks in spandex!!
Sad thing is they formed in 1989, when Grunge was getting huge. Many Glam bands Hairbands came out just at the wrong time.
Firehouse was also an unfortunate victim of circumstance around the same time.
Their sales were flagging in the US yes but they were still super huge in Asia. It was a badass stage accident that took out the lead singer and ended the band right then and there. It took a long time to figure out he suffered brain damage as a result. Good news is he's plowed through it and they're doing limited tours again.
@@TexasBiker68 That was late 92 hen the accident happened. It broke his nose, cheekbone and jaw, and twisted his spine. Even though there was some brain damage, 96 they got back together, it was still Grunge and their late start (89) that resulted in them not being bigger along with other great bands in the late 80's.
@@wisconsinman3590 Yeah like i said they were flagging here in the US
War Babies, Babylon AD, Baton Rouge.....
Saw a fairly recent video, he can still hit those high notes, just can't hold them as long.
Yep he still can..Miljenko is legendary.
The dude can still sing !!!
Considering what that dude's been through I amazed he can sing at all. I'm glad to see them back out after his accident in '92
You said exactly what I was going to say.
I'll Never Let You Go.
We All Die Young.
Steelheart.
I Can't Stop Me Loving You.
The band has some amazing songs, and Miljenko Matijevic's voice has no equal.
I still prefer the Steel Dragon version of We all die young, its more bombastic than the version he did on Wait.
Love ain't easy
You should do their song “Can’t Stop Me Loving You”
OMG! That was incredible!!!!!!!
There is a live version of him singing this song with just a piano. Freaking awesome.
I wish I could go back in time! Born in the 70's. Grew up in the 80's with some of the best music ever! 90's were okay. It was downhill from there
I agree. Well said.
Yeah, '75 here. Modern "rock" is nothing more than faster-paced pop, and the only place I've found passion, musicianship, and talent to match the '80's rock scene is the European metal scene with bands like Beyond the Black, Nightwish, Tarot, etc. In the USA, the band HAlestorm is very reminiscent of the '80's and early '90's rock/metal. But for the most part, You are absolutely right. And it's sad. What passes for music now would have been laughed out of the studio as complete garbage 30 years ago.
Oh my God so happy you reacted to this absolute treasure💔😭😪 Wow..
Alex done turned into Cornholio for a second there!! 🤘🤘 I need teepee for my bunghole. 😂
Thank you sooo much for reacting to this!! I think I requested it
One of the most underrated bands during that time !!!!!!
Everyone is suggesting I'll never let you go, as it's an absolute masterpiece. I will go out of the lines and suggest Can't stop loving you. Energetic and just as beautiful.
I'll Never Let You Go by Steelheart is amazing as well.
I absolutely fell in love with this song when it first came out so many years ago. So glad you finally found this one.
I'm 42 years old and I'm discovering these bands WITH you! I grew up in a VERY strict Christian cult and was only allowed to listen to southern gospel. I walked away from all religion about 10 years ago and music has been an amazing discovery!!! This song was so good!!!
youre in for so many treats in music then =D
@@christiannystrom1120 it's been so amazingly fun so far!!!!!!
You are definitely going to hell.
@@gabrielstanley5348 oh well. I won't be alone.
@@bobbilowery2975 wait what?
Nice to hear Steelheart, but you shoulda started with Never let you go (Angel eyes)
oh my god how have I never heard this song. I'm a massive glam rocker and lived the 80s and this is me all over.
Um, what ? Lol.
Check out the version "we all die young" they redid for the movie Rockstar.
YES ALEX!! This song is an absolute banger!
awesome job. steelheart angel eyes ... is another great great song
You should listen to "I'll Never Let You Go" by Steelheart
I’ll Never Let You Go is a Steelheart must!🥰🙌🤟
I love when you chime YOUR momma in!! She's SO SWEET!!!💗
Its the 80s. Every band had an emotional power ballad. Lol
Lol that's true!
Song came out in 91' ironically. It's kinda why they didn't make it so big, they got popular right when grunge kicked down the door.
Even some death metal got into it
SteelHeart had LOTS of power ballads though.
Yep, and those emotional power ballads got all us LAID. Alot. Helped even more when you played guitar. Lol....and I STILL play. And, yeah...i played 'Angel Eyes.' Alot. 😁
Yooo - I’m so glad you’ve been introduced to Steelheart. You definitely had the same reactions I had when I first heard dude’s vocal range. Like everyone said, I’ll Never Let You Go is a must. Everyone Loves Eileen is also a good one.
This is my favorite song from Steelheart. And one of my favorite ballads overall! This past Saturday at karoake I was going back and forth about singing this. And I went for it. I actually was able to get all the way through it, hitting all the notes. Just couldn't hold that last high note at the end. I was shaking like crazy and it was a huge adrenaline rush! I was also happy that I recorded it while I was singing. Holy crap that dude has an amazing and majestic voice!
Let's just let that breathe for a minute...lol! Love watching reactions to Stealheart and Milijenko ...dudes incredible. 🤟🙌
Stryper "always there for you", another high pitch vocal
anything MIchael Sweet does is worth checking out. I've been a fan since Soldiers.. but I love their newer stuff. Yahweh, God, Deceiver, Do Unto Others, Blood from Above, No More Hell to pay.. great jams.. great screams..
And Michael still has the voice plus he's really upped his guitar game too.
@@briandavis4916 He's always been a fantastic guitarist.
This mans voice is the definition of a guitar whaling!! He is the guitar.
He was my biggest crush!!!! He has a beautiful voice!!!
been waiting for this. thanks Alex
Please listen to their song "I'll never let you go". It's amazing also
Check out Angel Eyes (I'll never let you go) by Steelheart, like everyone here is saying, it's their best ever ♥
Steelheart was my first concert!! Love these guys.
Everybody loves Eileen, and I’ll never let you go. Two great songs from steel heart that you should listen to
I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO BY STEEL HEART IS EVEN BETTER THAN THIS ONE
It sure is!!!!
Omg, I haven't heard this forever, hilarious
Lol this is better
This blows "I'll Never Let You Go" out of the water. This is arguably one of the best power ballads of the genre.
The hair bands will live on forever🤘🤘🔥🔥
Thanks for the good laughs on this reaction! I needed that... Loved when it got quiet and the music kicked in...That always get you!
I was lucky enough to interview him when I was an interviewer for an online radio station. He is an incredible person as well as he is a singer. He asked what my fave song was and I told him She's Gone and sang me the chorus. Pretty amazing moment!
That is real cool that's one thing about that hair metal and even the heavier bands they love their fans
“We all die young” was one of their best.. if you’ve seen the movie Rock star with Mark Wahlberg... that was where I learned of the band Steelheart! Amazing Band!
Best reaction to Steelheart ever seen... thank you for the entertainment..
LOL Oh the quintessential
rock ballad - the 80's were FULL of them. Steelheart, Winger, Skid Row, Warrant, Bad English, Cinderella, L.A.Guns, all had one or two under their belt. They were full of emotional words and riffs. high notes and sex appeal. I miss those days, soooo much simpler. Thanks Alex, I need to go down the rock ballads worm hole now. Much love from Kansas.
You should watch the unplugged version. It will make you cry. It's breathtaking. You probably didnt hear about this band because they had a big ole freak stage accident.
I love Steelheart!!! Also do “I’ll never let you go” and for something really different try their self titled “Steelheart” . SO good!
One of the most underrated bands EVER!
I've never heard this band before, but that singer is talented! I need to check out more of their music. Your reactions to this was great. Thanks for sharing this :)
Yep. That’s Milli. No auto tune, just pure power metal. One of the greatest voices ever. Check out I’ll Never Let You Go, Everybody Loves Eileen and Mama Don’t You Cry. You won’t be disappointed. Another great band with an awesome vocalist is Triumph. Rik Emmett’s vocals are amazing. Try Magic Power or anything off of the Allied Forces album 😁
One my favorite hair bands, he has the voice of an angel... " I'll Never Let You Go."... must react to that one! His voice is amazing, he hits the highest notes possible in this song...
Alex!😊Yes I'll never let you go👍👌👍👌😊💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
You actually got it. God bless you, I love you for that, brother. Instant subscribe!
This is one of my favorite bands of all time. They’ve gone through so much as a band. The accident that sent the singer to the hospital is on UA-cam and the original lineup never played together again after that show. The singer had to go through some procedures and had to regain his voice. If you see the videos of him from 2012 you’re like “oh man he lost it” but I saw them live last year and he’s back. Dude is as good as he was in his prime. And the lead guitarist suffered a double stroke at the beginning of this year and has been trying to teach himself how to play again. He’s recovering pretty damn well so hopefully he can get that back cuz he writes some of the best solos I’ve ever heard. Electric Love Child and the self-titled song are my two favorites by them. Oh and if you’ve ever seen the movie Rockstar, Steelheart’s singer sings for Mark in that movie.
"I'll Never Let You Go" by Steelheart
Watchiiiiiing .. with tears in my eyes!! Finally, FINALLY You reacted to this band!!! Thanx so much, Alex!!
Happy emotions activated!!!
Seen them perform live in Houston in 1990 in a small club called Backstage. They did everything perfectly. Right there, 10 feet away from where I was. Just an amazing experience!
Another great 80’s band are Cinderella and the song don’t know what you got (til it’s gone). Steelhart has also a song named Steelheart, to show a different side of this amazing band than just the ballads.
I was waiting for the line of "I need tp for my bumhole" when your pulled that hood back ;)
..and "are you threatening me?" 🤣
Dude is amazing, beautiful voice. I'll never let you go is an amazing song
"I'll never let you go", Steelheart!!! Amazing!! And his backbend is awesome too!!!💋
Queensryche - silent lucidity
He has already done that
100% this!
Um no he hasn't. I've been following Alex for like 2 years now. He hasn't watched any songs I've ever suggested. And I've suggested queensryche a few times.
I NEED HIM TO LISTEN TO QUEENSRYCHE
Take hold of the Flame live in Tokyo.
Steelheart is one of my favorite bands. My dad has the album on cassette tape and it's my favorite album as well. It was also their first album. My recommendation is to react to the whole album because you would love the vocals on each of the songs as well as the other instruments.
The full version is just as beautiful...... 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Man you need hear this in live!!!
Alex, check out their "NEVER LET U GO"- AMAZING!!! One in a few greatest vocalist of ALL time !!! 💗
Steelheart - "I'll never let you go"
🖤🤘🏻🖤 amazing voice one of the best ever!
One of my favorite bands
You should check out him recently, STILL got that range almost at the same point.
You need to check out the live unplugged version. Dude nails every one of these notes straight up. It's actually better than the damned recording.
Man, i about fell out of my chair watching you run around your table and then fall. Hope you're good! I remember when this album dropped. My ears and mind were absolutely blown away by this man's vocal range. Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for reacting to this and sharing your reaction to this video, have a great day brother!
I lived and played music in the 80s. Still the best decade of my life. Nothing beat the power ballads either.
they were even better live in the 90's, and he went a lil higher live also
if your reacting to this the you must react to never let you go (angel eyes)
Those laps around the center-table killed me dude! LMAO 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂‼
Your expression at 5:07 was the best reaction I've ever seen to a music video then you put the cherry on the cake by taking a lap lol.Miljenko absolutely killing it in this vid & that vocal yell at 5:07 was insane. What a band What a music video. What a voice!
What is the most impressive about it, is that after an stage accident, he literally forgot how to sing, had to learn it all over again and was able to sing just as good as before.
I haven’t had this many chills from a song in a long time. The goosebumps are crazy with this, if you don’t have them then you don’t appreciate good music!!
Finally! Your Classic Rock baptism is now complete. Still Loving You by Scorpions & She's Gone by Steelheart are the epitome of love ballads. The two ultimate tear-jerker masterpieces! 🤘😎
Finally!!! I have been waiting for someone to discover milli !!! Never let you go is great also❤️❤️
Check out Steel Dragon- We All Die Young. Same singer
There's a Steelheart version too!
@Charles Jones I know. I meant the original. The steelheart version.
I love that movie!
I want to see a reaction with your mother and Sarah
Love your reaction bro!!
I saw them live in October of 92 right after this album came out. Incredible live. Just saw them last year in October 32 years later. Still has it.
If you have time, watch the movie "Rock Star" w/ mark wahlberg. The lead singer for Steelheart does the singing for mark's parts. For example: ua-cam.com/video/9kB5w8i62Oc/v-deo.html
Go listen to "Still loving you" by Scorpions bro. One of the best power ballads of all time
THE Best ballad ever!!!!!!
Already done that song.
He did that one.
It was good time to be alive, it wasn't LA but we had a few Metal only clubs that my friends and I like hang out at, the vibe was cool, you had to be there.
I was in their fanclub back in the day and they would send all kinds of cool stuff, flyers, tapes...autographed promo pics,etc..R.I.P John Fowler..
Bigger voice when they do "I'll Never Let You Go".
80`s... Well, you have to react to "Uncle´s Tom Cabin" by Warrant, Please!... Greetings from Colombia
Rock in the 80s. Shit, yeah, the 80s ROCKED!
Love your reaction bro! Amazing song! I’ve listened to it 30 times in a row!! Crazy!!!! Your pure joy cool!
