my thoughts never reflect the thoughts and values of the company I work for 😉😀
Thanks for watching 😀😉
xoxo, Juju
I would've never thought to use posterboard like that. Very clever! Love the black wood look for sure.
Poster board!!!!!! Girl you just saved me. I HATE shaker cabinets!!! Thank you 🙏🙏
I am really impressed! I have HORRIBLE cabinets (probably 40 years old) that my landlord won't replace so I'm exploring ideas. Thanks for your tips!
I so appreciate that you don't hide the mistakes and keep it all realistic 💖
Never lol I try to be as transparent as possible
Love your honesty! I think your cabinet makeover is good! Not everything needs to be perfect to affect a desirable change, especially with the limitations presented if renting, need to be able to reverse the change. Lived for 25 plus years without knobs, by the way. only thing is the cabinets get dirty where they are touched...but they get knocked and dirty around knobs too. We own our home but helping my daughter fix up a rental place and this was great!
That poster board idea is great! I have cabinets like you in this house rental and I didn't know what to do to fix that problem and here you are solving it! Thank you! Now I am really excited to do them in a teal color.
I am going to try it. I've been on the fence but it looks like a lot of people are successful using this in a rental.
The key is getting quality contact paper, if you use the thin/cheap kind it won’t last very long
This is a very inspirational video! I had watched the original video a while ago and was looking for it when I found this video. Some of the info that I found important, besides how to do it, was doing the corners and using higher quality wallpaper than I have bought for my wood cabinets. I loved how you emphasized the change from posterboard to wood.
I just covered my office cabinets I use in the kitchen with a better-quality wallpaper and am thrilled with them but see now I will have to buy a higher quality wallpaper for my new project, too. Thank you for saving me a lot of wasted effort.
The better quality is the way to go! My cabinets are still wrapped to this day 😅
and youre still amazing t this!! doing mine bc of you in 2 weeks!!! THANKS AGAIN!
Yessss a update on a DIY project. I’m here for it. I need to redo some of my DIYs
I'm glad you showed that large posterboards can still work to cover the shaker cavities on large cabinet doors and not look obviously dented in the middle.
I've been trying to envision how I would handle the arrangement positioning of the shakers covers, and the recessed parts of my 39 inch tall cabinet doors on the vunyl sheets and was lamenting at all the extra cutting and placement time, as well as the wasted vinyl that would result in.
Mine are the same, but having trouble finding poster board that tall. Did you find any, or did you use 2 sheets? My only worry with the latter is that you'd see the seam.
You crack me up with your realmess🙏.Appreciate your video, so MUCH.. we think alike and you have some great solutions! Love the posterboard idea for less clean up when we leave:). This is JUST what I’ve been looking for after a recent couple of other upgrades.. those ugly cabinets that have been bothering us.. can finally GO (behind some gorgeous contact paper🤗.. Thank you:))..
poster board underneath is GENIUS
Thank you for this poster board technique. I got one of the dated apts in my bldg. I hate the cabinets and my dark kitchen. This will make a huge difference!
Thank you for this video, only one I see so far that explain how it was removing and replacing. Great job.
Next time promote the brand you used in the video too, so you can get some product reviews. But thanks for it in the description too just ordered mine. ❤
Omg that color eyeshadow is sooo beautiful on you!!! Ok back to the video
Thank you!!!!
Thank u for sending me this 🤗 now I hope I have the patience to do it🤦♀️
Love your appt update videos! You joked about it but I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY!!!
I watched on my TV and had to login to my phone so I could make my comment.
Also try the under mount door handles, would be a small/short screw in the bottom or inside the door.
I literally just moved into a new apt that wasn't updated 😒, but more affordable. I stumbled across your video, and I absolutely L♡VE your personality, honesty & overall transparency. It is refreshing to watch your how-to videos. Your inspirational ideas✨️ could not come at a better time; they are soooo needed right now!!
😍 > ❤️🔥 > 🥰 = 💖
Please keep doing what you do best, YOU ARE doing AMAZING work n' things; keepin' it REAL & *TRULY budget-friendly* for renters!!! I APPRECIATE YOU! 🙏🏼💜 (Subscribed!!!🥰)
You do so well with these. I would be able to unscrew all these cabinets in my kitchen.
Thanks, Sis; I'll try it. And you're a beauty. God bless you.🙏
You’re welcome! Thank you 😁
I enjoyed this video!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Usually everyone says I talk too much lol 😂
That is SO much work! But the cabinets look great.
It’s is 🤣 and they do 😁
How many rolls did u end up using?
Thanks so much for this. I've been struggling to find a solution and was going to make all new doors out of hardwood, but not anymore! Poster board it is! 🙂
Great quick fix, use good quality contact paper.. I’m going into year 5 with these (side note: now thinking I should probably change them lol)
I like the look of no handles. It's so easy to open the doors without them. She did a good job for a first attempt.
New subscriber! Beautiful finish, love your energy and the posterboard idea.
Thank you!! Welcome 😁😁
I had to learn the hard way that Adhering bigger sections to be finished quicker wasn’t the best idea lol. Thank you for these tips! 😅😊
😅😅😂 I did too
super helpful, thanks so much :)
Great tutorial. What contact paper did you use? Looks great
I never knew peel and stick handles existed the cabinets looked great without them
I enjoyed this video I liked your demeanor
Thank you for sharing! What paper did you buy? It was definitely good quality !
Former costume designer here, and lemmie tell ya, E6000 < Magna Tac 809.
Thank you sooo much for this video I was about to give up putting contact paper on my cabinet because of the curves in the middle
Welcome!!
I love this!!
How many cabinet doors did you do? How many rolls of contact paper? I want to do my moms.
How well do the doors close?
With your hands?
How many roles did you use?
Thanks girl!!
How many rolls did you need to order and the size?
It’s been a few years so I don’t recall exactly but the info may be in the original video
hello. Thanks for update. How many rolls did you and many I have the link to paper that was used.
I believe 3
I don't have handles either on my cabinets. They came like that.
Oh! Forgot to ask how many rolls of this amazon linked contact paper did you buy? @juju
I think 3 total and I still had some left over
Next try WD40 for the excess glue. It almost just melts it away.
🤯
So you not going to put up handles the only way they would stay when u took the cabinet down & let something heavy on the knobs over night that's how I did my dresser knobs
I was trying my hardest to avoid that step but I really do think it’s my best option
@@jujusjourney yeah it sucks, but it looks beautiful just like that👍I think I will do the same for my renters kitchen cabinets
My grandchildren call me Juju! No coincidences huh!
