- Welcome to another Whodunit Beer Review. In this series, I will be reviewing "blind" or "mystery" beers, where someone gives or sends me a beer completely concealed so I don't know what it is and I give it a proper review. At the end of each review, I will reveal the beer and see how well my inferior palate does.
In this review, I'm going to take a look at a Whodunit beer that was given to me by a very good friend of mine, and viewer of the channel, Stephen (@jesusfreakinct). This is the first of three Whodunit beers that were recently sent to me from Stephen, and I'm super pumped to get into all of them. Thanks for the beer, Stephen!

Thanks for watching!
Thanks go out to Stephen...thanks for hooking up the BeerTubers with the Whodunits..Cheers!!!
He's definitely keeping them alive across the BeerTubes. Great dude, for sure.
Cheers, again!
Holy cow! What a review..... well done Mr. PaTroll!
Thanks, Joe! I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Felt good.
Cheers!
I'm giving you a A+ good job joe. RIP willie mays 😢 the greatest all around baseball ⚾️ player ever 🙏. I saw willie mays play in the 60s in candlestick park. Cheers 🍻
RIP Say Hey Kid. He lived a full life, and definitely one of the best players of all-time. Pretty cool you were able to see him live, buddy!
I was really happy with how I did, so I'll accept that A+ score, haha! Thanks, Billy!
Cheers!
Dood, great job! Spot on!
Thanks! I was happy with how I did. Always a good feeling when you #nailit.
Cheers!
Good lord man you nailed it perfectly! Btw I loved this beer. Very unique and tasty
Thank you! Yeah, I enjoyed it, too. It definitely is heartburn-inducing, but I do enjoy the flavors. Like you said, quite unique and enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised I did so well. Completely forgot I reviewed this one back in 2021. I allude to the lack of a review in the video, but I totally did review it. I forget, as I'm old, haha!
Cheers!
Hell of a job, sir! Nailed it.
Thanks, Rick! I feel really elated by the result. Such an exhilarating feeling!
Cheers, buddy!
5/5...another stellar job. And i am going to do the .5, on the grading system now. So on the last couple Whodunits, you would have got some 4.5's. And, i remember this beer, it was like my favorite sour type beer, from Lagunitas. Do you think it was better fresh, or with some age? Cheers!!!!
I'm not sure. Now that I know I reviewed it, I went back and looked, and I think I had some pretty similar thoughts. Somehow, I thought the body was a bit bigger aged (and not thinner), and I feel fresh it was a bit more acidic and sour. I think, if I had to choose, I'd go with the aged version. Both are pretty good, though. I'm just happy I didn't embarrass myself, haha!
Cheers, man!
Nice!🍻
Thanks, dude!
Cheers!
@averagejoe716 Cheers bro!🍻
Boom 💥, 🎤 drop and I’m out…🍻 cheers Joe!
Thanks, buddy! Really happy how I did with this one. I actually did review this one back in the Fall of 2021, but totally forgot.
Cheers!
Nailed it! That’s about an A+ in my book. Who would ever get the exact beer? Haha
Thanks, Curtis! Funny enough, I've called out the exact beer twice, I think. First one was Ten FIDY. I didn't commit, but I mentioned it in the review shortly before revealing it. Then, the other one I called out was Gingerbread Fog by Abomination. That one was a bit different since Stephen sent me their Fog Nog a few months prior, so it was in the back of my head.
Cheers, man!
@@averagejoe716 Well shit! Maybe you do need to reserve an A+ for calling out the exact beer in that case. You should make a new rule that if you get it exactly right you’re just going to drop the mic and walk off, and the video ends right then and there. Lol. Like George Costanza leaving on a high note.
Hey, no takebacks, LMAO! That would be hilarious. It's so tough to call out a specific beer, so I feel like just coming close enough is good enough for me. If I nail the beer specifically, then it's just icing on the cake, baby!
@@averagejoe716 Nailing an exact beer would be extremely hard. I’d have to just tried it recently or it would have to be something I tried a lot. You’re really good at these though. Trying thousands of different beers pays off!
Yeah, the only reason I picked up on those two specifically was because Ten FIDY is a classic that I've had too many times to count, and the other one I had a variation of a few months prior. Otherwise, there's no way I'm doing it, haha!
Is it just me or do sour beers tend to have floaties compared to other beers? In my drinking thats been the case lol
It all depends on the type of sour, as well. Heavily Fruited Sours = fruit purée remnants, while traditional sours like this one = yeast and protein particles. I agree that the style typically exhibits more floaties, as a whole.
Cheers, buddy!
Oh, yeah...and there is no such thing, as a whodunit review that is to long...you take all the time you need. Prost.
Honestly, that is my philosophy. It hurts viewership and I know a lot of folks enjoy shorter reviews, but I like to be thorough. It definitely pays off at times, haha!
Cheers!
