I haven't had anything from Komes, but not I'm going to seek some out. This was awesome outside of that intense boozy character. Such a tasty beverage, even if I didn't hit perfectly on it! Thanks, man!

Sounds like the bottle had turned. I had this beer and all the other Komes Beers, and thought they were nice, and hid the ABV's well. A Cheers goes out to Kenny for wrapping paper around the label. You did a good job considering.

I think it was definitely oxidized. Not sure I'd say turned completely, but that sherry character was pronounced. Regardless, it was AWESOME! Outside of the big booziness, I loved it. I didn't do great, but I'm happy that I at least nailed the base style.

Hi, thanks for the review! It's always fun to do blind tasting and given how this beer changes with time You get B+ or even A ;)
The LOT number means: 46 - BBT number/30 - week of filling/22 - year.

I thought I did OK, but I'm happy to hear you think that I did quite well. This is a delicious beer that you should be extremely proud of, which I'm sure you are. You got Browar Fortuna in US??? That is nice. This is my favourite budget barley wine, also the porter and belgian quad are good too :)

Yeah, we've had them for years. I've only seen this and that Porter. Never tried any of them. I'll have to grab the Porter and give it a review at some point, for sure. This was delicious, though! I see why you dig it, buddy.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree. The head brewer post a commented and said he'd give me a B+/A, which I thought was pretty cool. Regardless of how well I did, I was so happy this was delicious! If you ever see it, give it a go, Billy.
